It is actually pay-per-hour, it is simply displayed as pay-per-day for... eh... "Simplicity's sake." Or so I had thought.

So if I put 0.01 in "Minimum Bid", people have to pay at least 0.01 per hour?

No, it's like this:

Your bid is per day but is charged per hour.

IE. you bid 24 BTC. This is 24 BTC a day. Instead of charging 24 BTC up-front or at the end of the day, it does 1 BTC an hour. Essentially it's like a pro-rated system.

Scratch that, check my edit.

So, is this really pay per day now?

On the Create Adspace page, PLEASE clarify this input:

Minimum Bid

Make it say something like:

Minimum Bid (per hour)
or
Minimum Bid (per day)
or
Minimum Bid (per square inch)

Or whatever is correct. As it stands now, this input is vague to newcomers like myself who am not sure what the number I input there really represents.

EDIT: Hang on, I didn't read that carefully. I actually have no idea, good question.

Hmmm, for the reasons mentioned previously I now think that seeing the hourly rate might be better.

I still would love to see an option to switch between hour and day prices. I mean, the amount I get doesn't stay the same all day long. It was around 0.04 in the morning, 0.08 in the afternoon and now its 0.092. I would like to see it per hour, because that is more precise.

I don't think clicks are being counted correctly.
https://bitads.net/?p=bid&id=38
https://bitads.net/?p=bid&id=184
https://bitads.net/?p=bid&id=76

Like I said before, there's something wrong with clicks count.
Sometimes it shows negative clicks, and I need to refresh the page.

Kind of annoying to have to wait this long for my payout Tongue

Shit, I withdrew to the wrong address. Could you please send the BTC0.0453 to "1JxvSh6wFww5Cjd3waTtuS4yeYeDrs2CVe" instead of "18i3PzeDPMNAg9Kcux1hvyPnSoJ4yo7u7k"?

Sure no problem!

As for per-day or per-hour. The advertisers are starting to pick up again for per-day. I'll see how this goes and wait for some more feedback before a decision is made.

It's possible that what happened caused confusion. IE. the system started out as per-hour for some advertisers, so when it jumped up to per-day they may have not noticed that difference and thought "whoa, the prices just jumped up by over 20x what they were. I'm out!" I have the feeling this is what happened.

Thank you, I received it. Long live manual payouts!

And that sounds like a good idea.

I vote go back to hours - my ads aren't doing good either. Sad
I have to agree. Or create an option to switch between those two and set the standard value to "Per Hour".
That doesn't make much sense TBH.
I highly doubt advertisers are that stupid, I mean, c'mon, it's the exact same thing... 0.5, 1/2...
Apparently not. I lost a huge amount of advertisement 1-2 days after the implementation of the 24 hour system. It went down to zero 2 days later. Now it's slowly climbing back up and I changed my price's back to normal, but still.

I know it sounds stupid, I cannot believe it myself, but that is just how I experienced the change.

It's not really "stupid," it's how we infer things. 0.1 BTC an hour sounds a lot better than 2.4 BTC a day, for example. Smaller numbers are always "better."

It's really along the same lines as the marketing gimmick for discounts. If you have an item for $5.00 and then offer two coupons: one for 50% off and one for $2.50 off, and ask which is the better deal, people will almost always choose one over the other, even though they are exactly the same. It's how our brains play tricks on us, :p.

Bug report: when you have the sites grouped by domain, it doesn't sort them properly. For example, if you choose to sort by views, you will notice that some of the higher-viewed sites won't be on page one. If you skip to page two or further you may see them. It's actually a little odd how that works. Essentially each page has its own tier going from highest -> lowest, rather than the entire listing being from highest (#1 on page 1) to lowest (#x on page x -- last).

When sorting without the domain grouping on it works fine.

Thanks. Fixed now.

Perfect, thank you!
