Once they have understood the project, then they could voluntarily contribute depending on their individual preferences. That way they take an informed decision. The other way of putting up a show with a jazzy website or live updates of tokens sold would probably act as "enticing" a participant who may follow the herd mentality rather than taking a knowledgeable, well informed decision. We have always preferred the former to the latter and would continue to seek well informed decision makers rather than contributors who are influenced by someone else participating. The value of coin can't be predicted because of its volatility. You're right about what you said about its concept that the value of coin after ICO is higher or lower. So best thing to do is really do some search about the potential of the coin just to be sure that we're on the right way of our decision.

It depend on how much effort the devs would put to their project in order for it to grow faster. No matter how old the coin is if it doesn't attract any people then it will not progress.
