We have one more review in progress

And here you have it Smiley

OS: MacOS Monterey
Browsers: Firefox and CyberGhost Private Browser

Buyer Account: 0x6a9fd14bbcb198f2c9a0add80d35fa69ea82b7a1
Seller Account: 0x8169d993f016bfe5baa15e8a39719eed8b55bb1e

As I've already tested the platform before, I won't repeat step by step how the test contract went through, and I'll only repeat here that the process went seamlessly and that the interface is quite intuitive, so the process should be easily understandable for most average users. Those who are interested can read my previous review on the subject here. At this stage of development, I found no major technical issues and the deployment/fulfilment happened perfectly well.

A few bugs I found (UI/UX) and suggestions:

1) Add an image:
1.1.- Half of the text (no file chosen) appears inside the image box.
1.2.- When you add an image, the preview is cut and you can't rescale (although it eventually fits automatically after accepting).

1.1. 1.2.

2) (i) Information:
2.1.- These spaces are too responsive IMO. The information box pops up every time you move the mouse pointer over them. I would suggest you to add a few seconds for the info to appear, or only show it after clicking on the "i".
2.2.- On the other hand, it is quite annoying also that, if you scroll, the box itself moves along the display. Plus a little typo in the last box, as the sentence should end with a dot: "...approval of terms."

2.1.

2.2.

3) Price:
3.1.- As far as I have been able to verify, the price box doesn't seem to allow the addition of decimals.

3.1.

4) Choose Network(s):
4.1.- In this case, contrary to what happened with (i) Information, the name of the network doesn't pop up until several seconds have passed (more than 5 in some cases) like in the case of Avalanche in the images. To me, this time is too long, especially when there are different networks with the same icon and the user wants to know which is the one he or she is looking for without wasting time.

4.1.

5) Item logo in Contracts:
5.1.- The logo of the item, which appears on top of the Contract page, is way too big, forcing the user to scroll down too much in order to be able to see the contract info.

5.1.

6) Contract details:
6.1.- There is another little typo in the info box: there should be a space between "restrictions" and "(if any)".

6.1.

7) Special characters for nicknames:
7.1.- The platform won't let the user write special characters for his nickname. Although this is understandable, is there any way to include a few ones, like the BTC for Bitcoin?.

7.1.

Cool Layout:
8.1.- In the T&C, the appearance of the website when you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page can be improved. The empty space is too big, and the overlapping squares are quite ugly imo.

8.1.

Except for these small details, you are doing wonderfully with the platform so far. I have seen that you already added the reviewer's info (stars), as suggested before. Keep up the good work!

We have one more review in progress after which the current round of Marketplace Beta tests will be temporarily closed. A few new features are being developed at the moment and their release may need another round of tests.

Thank you to all the participants and applicants of the Marketplace testing round 1. We will update this thread or create a new one once the new features are live on the test server.

Hello Jerome, sorry about that, I received your BTC wallet from Zenland team on 23rd of December but I guess I overlooked and forgot to send the money.  Just sent it to the address initially provided. Thank you for being our beta tester.

Finally, the question about the block explorer. It isn't clear to me whether you mean the source code or the code of the specific contract a user deploys. In the first case, the code can be publicly viewed on GitHub here https://github.com/zenland-dao/contracts. In the second, we didn't not want other users to know that the contract is escrow because it rises privacy issues what if the buyer or a seller don't want others to know that they deployed escrow contract? That's why it's hidden. But now I am thinking that we should add an option if a user agrees to make the contract data fully  disclosed in a block explorer or not.
Yes, I meant the contract code which is shown on Etherscan and similar explorers through the Contract page. The one I deployed, for example, only shows the bytecode rather than the actual code: https://testnet.bscscan.com/address/0x858fc6a0babc400ed067270b8aefa7e81bfb11f2#code

I understand not verifying that as a way of "hiding" what the contract actually is (an escrow contract) at first look. On the other side, a verified contract code means that both parties (if more technical) can check that the contract does exactly what it should do (no hidden functions/backdoors). Cons and pros, I guess.

Hey, I hope the new year is doing great on your side.

Could you please confirm if I was sent any rewards in an address of mine I may not be aware about? I just checked the BTC address I sent you and there was no transaction as stated.

Thanks.

My first "hello!" to the BitcoinTalk forum this year! Here's to new beginnings in 2023! Wish you and your loved ones a prosperous year ahead. With that said, my due responses to our marketplace testers Smiley

I'm just wondering why does the minimum delivery date is 12 hours? Why it can't be set to a lower time frame which makes the buyer easily get the item?
Actually the minimum delivery time is 1 hour. The placeholder (as 12*) has been displayed incorrectly and has already been fixed on the test server. You should see them once the updates are live.

On choosing the network,  Is it more easy to make the list in drop down form and state the name of the network instead of just the symbol of the Blockchain network?
While choosing a network, I will suggest that the name of the network be visible rather than just it's symbols to make things easier.
I see the confusion here is likely because of both test and main networks with the same icons (for Eth and BSC for example). Once live, only major and well known EVM networks will be represented and so the confusion should no longer persist. That said, these suggestions are taken into account and will be reviewed once more user feedback is in.

Lastly, Is there a way to null and void the existing contract without finishing the transaction? I made a mistake for not checking the pre approved box and I don't know how to close the existing contract so that I can sell the item in new settings.
The future contracts for the same item will not be impacted by not checking the pre-approved box if you edit the item. Also because the pre-approved feature impacts only the pre-approval stage, there is no need to void the existing contract. If checked, it will let buyer(s) deploy and transfer payment without your manual approval. If not, you should just approve the contracts created and the rest is the same for both escrow contracts.

I just want to request for an easy share link for an item
Oh yes, that's on our To-Do list and will be live in the upcoming releases.

First:: I tried to change Nickname of my accounts from anonymous to Seller and Buyer but i was unable to put a space between "Seller_account"
Spaces are not allowed in usernames. We'll add username and bio tooltips to the settings page to make requirements clearer.

Third::  I have fullfilled it from both (Buyer and Seller) sides but it was not updating itself. so i thought maybe i should refresh the page and come back then this issue solves by itself on refreshing.
From the screenshot provided, I see the backend did not auto-refresh the contract state in buyer because the transaction has not been successfully processed by the network yet (thus, button displays "Confirming"). Once the blockchain transaction is complete, changes are made to a contract. Then, the backend receives request results and the frontend displays them to the user.

Fourth:: I filled the whole forum my internet was also working fine but when i try to add the item then it was not working so i just refreshed the page and all of my information that i filled was gone. maybe it could be possible to keep them there even after refreshing the page. and is it possible to send pdf or other attachments through this platform? if, yes! then it would be really good for freelancers.
I see your point and taking note of it. Yet the information is not recorded before the user takes any contract action (create is one of them). Also, for security reasons, we do not store any file attachments on our servers. Also, suggestion #5 will be reviewed as more users request this feature.

Third step:[/b] logging into my second account to buy the item i have just created, i copied the item link and gave the first approval from my buyer account after that i had to login into my first account to give the seller approval for the product, and come back once again to my buyer account ( it would be better if i worked with two browsers or devices but fine)
And this is the key reason why we've introduced pre-approved contracts right here! Ticking off "Pre-approved item" in the Additional settings saves time for both parties. The seller does not have to manually approve every single contract for a specific item, and the buyer can deploy the contract and deposit payment into it without waiting for the seller.

There something that maybe if a buyer didn’t notice he can be in a lot of troubles, which is if the seller set like a big time for delivery time, the buyer can’t open a dispute until that time. What if the seller set like 30 days or more. It’s better if you set a maximum time for it IMO
There is no maximum hours or days for the delivery time to not limit the provision of products or services. We believe that putting a stricter limit of say, 10 or 15 days or even 30 will not be suitable for different circumstances (a.i. logistics, certain safety requirements (if any), etc.). Users on both sides are advised to get familiar with the purchasing terms before taking any action with the contract.

Things that can make your marketplace better
-Adding categories for each item such as, Design, accounts, products , collectibles, translating for example
-Adding the option of making your item public or not, so people can search on Zenland marketplace for the items or products they want
-Adding an option of promoting items for some extra fees, where sellers can make their items show on first page of Zenland marketplace
These suggestions are already a part of our pre-launch list and will be implemented when our public marketplace is officially live (planned for Q1)

1. On the Login page, you could improve UX by letting people know beforehand that they will need to sign a message and what that means (especially that they won't pay any gas).
Hmm, there is a message saying wallet connection does not charge any gas fee in Metamask sign message, but I see the point. The message is not visible if the user is not logged into his/her Metamask wallet and this may raise concerns over the cost. It will be further discussed with the developers and changes should be live in the next version updates.

2. Maybe this is just me overthinking, but I just feel that "who is buying" and "who is selling" would suit better rather than "buyer" and "seller" on the "New Contract" card. More of this is in the next point. Tongue
TryNinja, thank you for taking the testing one step further and trying our default escrow contracts! They are already live at https://app.zen.land and additions can be made as we gather more feedback from the users.

4. Another UX improvement, maybe turn the "Buyer protection time" input red (as in "error") when the value is invalid (i.e < 24 hours) instead of just warning about this when the user clicks the "Create" button.
...
14. Let the seller deny/delete a contract draft before both parties approve it. Also maybe block an address from buying if someone is spamming contracts.
Invalid input warning while form-filling along with the item URL fix and share button will be implemented in the next releases. Also, the bug fix for Contract editing for buyer protection time has been sent to Team Lead.

Suggestion #5 has been requested by the majority of users and thus, has already been implemented on the test server and should be live on our next version updates.

Suggestion #6 makes sense, but personally I am (and I am sure a lot of other people as well) not a fan of pop-up windows. Though I'll keep this as a notice.

Next, adding the number of items in stock was the original idea that we had to withhold. This is because our item contracts are both for products and services that have no stock. Same with the buyer choosing the number of products to buy. Though unquestionably the right way to do for a typical marketplace, it may have unforeseen difficulties for different types of sellers.

For extra details, such as account id or email, buyer can always use the Contract Chat. It does not require any additional credentials to use and saves the relevant information for a specific contract between the two participants.

We do not store any information about contracts, including often selected networks. Yet this will be further discussed and implemented once the separate Network settings are available to the seller.

Deny/delete option is on our To-Do list and should further be developed once the ground work for a marketplace is over.

~ I will also suggest that you work on improving the mobile version access of this entire process as I think most users from my country deal more on mobile phones rather than laptops.
Noted. The team is working on device compatibility already and it will further be discussed.

~ When creating an item, I think it should also be possible to search for the item created rather than copying the profile link of the seller.
Upon the launch of the public marketplace users will be able to both search for items and see user profiles/stores with the displayed items.

~ the protection time should also be worked on as there are possibilities of either the buyer or the seller not being available at the moment.
Buyer protection time starts whenever the seller clicks "Complete". If buyer has not received anything and see no changes in the contract state (contract is active and not fulfilled), the buyer may open a dispute and try to contact the seller (through the Chat or externally). If this has no effect, the dispute can be escalated to a neutral third party. I believe that setting automatic control over the contract terms that the two users decided is not right. Also, as a web3 project, we cannot impose influence over users' smart contracts.

~ I Didn't notice a notification outside the site and I think a drop-down notification and also an offline notification will really help when a transaction is going on just in case either of the parties aren't online.
In the best practices of web3, we do not intend (at least in the foreseeable future) to support push notifications.

~ I really don't think the deployment fee should be charged from just the buyer's account but be split.
Contract deployment just like funds transfer and contract completion are direct contract interactions its participants take. The fees go directly to the blockchain and, to my knowledge, they technically cannot be split between the parties.

I buy all valid country Gift cards swiftly.
It is actually my first time testing a service and I do hope my reviews will help.
I did my testing  from an Android device and I will be giving my reviews based on my experience from this device.
SOME REVIEWS
~ Firstly it wasn't an easy process navigating through all that was listed and it was actually also my first time using metamask  and I had to try to figure things out by my self.

~ I will also suggest that you work on improving the mobile version access of this entire process as I think most users from my country deal more on mobile phones rather than laptops.

~ When creating an item, I think it should also be possible to search for the item created rather than copying the profile link of the seller.

~ I also love the fact that no gas fee was paid but rather just signing a message and this is also a great feature.

~ I think the processes is really much and if there was a more better way it could be compressed and the process reduced then it will be better.

~ the protection time should also be worked on as there are possibilities of either the buyer or the seller not being available at the moment.

~ I Didn't notice a notification outside the site and I think a drop-down notification and also an offline notification will really help when a transaction is going on just incase either of the parties aren't online.

~ While choosing a network, I will suggest that the name of the network be visible rather than just it's symbols to make things easier.

~ one thing I love is the fact that nothing will be done unconsciously on the site as all the processes requires approval from both the buyer and the seller.

~ I really don't think the deployment fee should be charged from just the buyers account but be split.

~ I love the chat session of the process and how it was automated after completing the process.

In conclusion, I think you guys did a great job and I only had issues while creating the item and I guess this was because I was using a mobile device and I will strongly suggest your team works on the mobile version.

Thank you for accepting my reviews and I've also received my reward and  will be glad to help make more reviews if given the opportunity to do so.
I will also recommend the use of their escrow just incase you need a trusted service.

Some thoughts:

1. On the Login page, you could improve UX by letting people know beforehand that they will need to sign a message and what that means (especially that they won't pay any gas).

2. Maybe this is just me overthinking, but I just feel that "who is buying" and "who is selling" would suit better rather than "buyer" and "seller" on the "New Contract" card. More of this in the next point. Tongue

3. IMO, you could change the flow of the "New Contract" page in a way that looks like Typeform, one question at a time. Instead of a bunch of inputs, ask the user "Who is the buyer?", then "Who is the seller", etc... you could then put the tooltip description next to it, making it simpler for everyone to understand what each input represents.

From this: https://talkimg.com/images/2023/05/13/blobb56650ad4f242c08.png
To this: https://talkimg.com/images/2023/05/13/blobc82e7e6f8057d30b.png

4. Another UX improvement, maybe turn the "Buyer protection time" input red (as in "error") when the value is invalid (i.e < 24 hours) instead of just warning about this when the user clicks the "Create" button.

5. I can't use decimals on the "Agreed amount" field (i.e 4.5 BUSD).

6. Maybe make it clearer that changes were made to the contract (i.e popup the notification on the screen, highlight the contract info that has changed, etc...). I could see myself approving something without noticing the change. I noticed there is a warning in the chat, but I could (also) see myself just talking with the other party through Telegram or DMs, completely ignoring that section.

7. On the contract page, you can't change the "buyer protection time" back to 24 hours (it should be >= 24 rather than > 24).

8. The contract we deploy isn't verified on the block explorer. Is that because you don't want to end up open-sourcing your contract template? If not, you can do that programmatically through Etherscan (docs here) and Bscscan (docs here). I'm not sure about the other explorers, though. That would improve the confidence of the contract and the platform (i.e "what if Zenland has a hidden backdoor on the contract?")

9. Remember which networks the seller accepts his payments through so he doesn't need to select everything all the time if he's adding many different items.

10. On the "My items" page, add a button to "share" an item, which should open the item's public page in a different tab or copy its URL to the clipboard.

11. Instead of the "One off product", let the seller specify how many items he has in stock. That info should show up on the item's product page. Let the buyer choose how many items he wants to buy at once.

12. Let the buyer write on the "Contract details" field or at least add an option for "Buyer extra details". Show the details on the contract info and on the chat. Maybe I (buyer) already want to specify where the seller should send my items (i.e my account id or email).

13. A direct visit to https://beta.zen.land/items?limit=10 results in an infinite loading of the "My items" card (printscreen). Visiting it through the sidebar worked, though.

14. Let the seller deny/delete a contract draft before both parties approve it. Also maybe block an address from buying if someone is spamming contracts.

Overall, everything went smoothly. I would probably use the platform as a middleman/store if I deem it trusted (super extra points if the contracts are verified so I could check it myself).

Edit: I confirm receiving full payment from ZenLand

I’m glad that once again i got a chance to test your new services before it was ZanLand escrow platform  now Marketplace i will give you my full and honest review after creating an item from my first account and buying it from my second one.

First step: it’s always an easy way to access your account which is related to your MetaMask wallet after choosing your wanted network, in my case Binance Testnet  with only two clicks you can login and have full access to ZenLand services, In My items from the menu i could start adding an item

Second step: Adding the item with all the details and features i want as name price delivery and buyer protection time, accepted networks and tokens which is a good option which makes it easier for both buyer and seller, and what i liked the most is the two simple features which are very important at the same time, one off product and pre approved item, after putting all details needed to sell sell your item you can add it instantly.

Third step: logging into my second account to buy the item i have just created, i copied the item link and gave the first approval from my buyer account after that i had to login into my first account to give the seller approval for the product, and come back once again to my buyer account ( it would be better if i worked with two browsers or devices but fine) and then deploying the contacts and getting charged with fees before payment transfer which was 5 BUSD in my case, once again as a seller i should complete the deal of the item, and from my buyer account i released the amount of the item and can leave a review.

After following all these steps everything went smoothly and i didn’t face any issue from adding an item until successfully buying it with my second account also switching between accounts every time was quick with 0 issues.

Things i noticed that maybe you need to edit
There something that maybe if a buyer didn’t notice he can be in a lot of troubles, which is if the seller set like a big time for delivery time, the buyer can’t open a dispute until that time. What if the seller set like 30 days or more. It’s better if you set a maximum time for it IMO

Good things i noticed
After editing your profile name your link will have your username instead your wallet address.
there is no fees when adding items which is also a good thing.
Easy and fast access to my own account

Things that can make your marketplace better
-Adding categories for each item such as, Design, accounts, products , collectibles, translating for example
-Adding the option of making your item public or not, so people can search on Zenland marketplace for the items or products they want
-Adding an option of promoting items for some extra fees, where sellers can make their items show on first page of Zenland marketplace

This is just my opinion and also my own experience with your Marketplace, i liked the simplicity and security of your platform.

#SWGT CERTIK Audited
Seller account ---> Chrome
Buyer account ---> Microsoft Edge

I had tested "Create Contract" and "Add Item" features and I faced some minor issues. I think circumventing these issues will help you to improve your platform.

First:: I tried to change Nickname of my accounts from anonymous to Seller and Buyer but i was unable to put a space between "Seller_account" (Which is a nick name i selected for my seller account). But i was able to put space between two letters. Which i figured out lately
---> I Think it would be good to solve this problem because i was hitting space again and again and it was really frustrating.

Second:: The layout of your steps of contract completion, looks odd (personal opinion) i think you should put a Green tick at some position of each step and it would be nice if the size of exclamatory sign would be decreased. Otherwise it also looks fine. Just a personal opinion.

Third::  I have fullfilled it from both (Buyer and Seller) sides but it was not updating itself. so i thought maybe i should refresh the page and come back then this issue solves by itself on refreshing.
My opinion is if it's possible that auto refreshing should be done automatically when a action took place from one side or the other side. I face this manually refreshing issue on my buyer account (Microsoft Edge) not on Chrome. I thought maybe it's worth to mention platforms too.  You maybe wondering the nick name on this screenshot is still anonymous. just to clear i changed names at the end of testing but to avoid confusion it is Buyer account

Fifth:: A back button to go back would be easy as every time i have to click at contract or item section just to go back to list page.

Things i like the most about your Platform are:
1. Overall User-interface was really good. even if a newbie visit your platform he/she could easily know what to do. well additionally you guys can add tutorials of video or animated tutorials for easy guide.
2. Message system to communicate with other side and double tick option when other person sees your text. as confirmation sign.
3.   option of choosing buyer, seller and 50/50 Fee of the contract. i really like it.

Conclusion:
After thorough testing, i appreciate the working of platform. i faced some minor issues in UX and in making items but after that it was smoothly going. I hope my opinion would help you to improve Zenland platform to some more extent. overall experience was smooth.

Note: Before I start my review, I just want to let you know that I'm using Android phone and tablet when I do the whole test process as buyer and seller. My comment will be based on my experience using this device. I made my review without reading other user review to make sure that I'm using the app from scratch for a more organic feedback.

Item Creation and Listing:
  • I have no problem on doing this part due to the info button that contains the details of every items that needs to be fill up on all the required field. I'm just wondering why does the minimum delivery date is 12 hours? Why it can't be set to a lower time frame which makes the buyer easily get the item?
  • On choosing the network,  Is it more easy to make the list in drop down form and state the name of the network instead of just the symbol of the Blockchain network? It will be more safe for a potential mistake on choosing Blockchain network and easy for newbie to identify which Blockchain they are choosing in case you support more network in the future.
  • I like the idea that the item is not yet active right after it was finished creatingg so that I can preview all the details and whether I need to change something on the terms and details before I list it in public.

Item buying and selling process

  • The notification feature of Zenland is really helpful on this part to easily access my open contract and to know if someone purchase. All the step by step process done is also being notified for both seller and buyer to make both party updated Incase they do the transaction in different time. The contract page too is updating real time for both buyer and seller using my device which is very cool since there's no need to refresh just to check for update. I only click the sync button once but it's due to my connection problem.
  • I notice that the item being sold in an existing openncontract can still be edit on the item tab of the seller so I try to test whether I can change some details of the item despite there's already ongoing contract for both buyer and seller. I manage to change the details of the item but it didn't reflect on the ongoing contract transaction but instead it only applies to the new contract after the changes happened which is good for the buyer side since seller can't alter the items he is selling.
  • Next, I made a mistake on using the currency. I use the default BUSD testnet instead the Zenland provided USDT, I just realized that I'm using wrong BUSD because of the contract address of the BUSD token available on the contract information that is helpful for buyer to avoid mistake on choosing the right token contract address.
  • Lastly, Is there a way to null and void the existing contract without finishing the transaction? I made a mistake for not checking the pre approved box and I don't know how to close the existing contract so that I can sell the item in new settings. This null and void button serves as cancella tion of the contract which both party should agree before it will be processed.

Conclusion: As a previous tester of Zenland escrow service, I would say that this new feature for buying and selling of NFT item in your platform is very safe for all type of user especially for newbie due to its straight forward feature and info buttons to guide them. The transaction is very seamless all throughout the process because it has live updates on what's happening in the contract.

I just want to request for an easy share link for an item which seller will just do one click to copy the share link for the listed item for an easier sharing of item sales.

This is the best escrow app and it has a potential to become popular here in the forum especially on the marketplace section. I will definitely use your app once it was live. GL

Zenland Founder
Hello everyone!

I'd like to thank everyone for contributing to Zenland by making suggestions and performing the tests. We keep track of all fixes made since our first beta campaign (Aug 19) in the changelog https://docs.zen.land/extra/changelog and you are welcome to look into it 🙂 Of course, there are more really good ideas we received (and hopefully will) but are yet to implement. Those are added to our To Do list and will be implemented as we close priority tasks.

Meanwhile, I've noticed a few questions here and would like to answer them.

Could I get some clarity, during the fulfillment stage, why is the release button active on the buyer's side when this stage heavily relies on the seller delivering the product or service to the buyer ??
--> Make the buyer's release button inactive until the seller fulfill their part of the contract and confirms.
Initially, the Release button has been left active for a buyer in case the seller fulfills the order but does not want to pay a gas fee for confirming the transaction and convinces the buyer (who already inspected the item) to release funds. In a way that is an option for sellers to save gas and make the service/product cost less for buyers. Taking multiple requests from past and recent reports we have decided to make Release button inactive before the seller completes the order. The required changes are in progress and will be live in the upcoming release.

--> I imagine people will sell digital products, and is there any way to make the process automatic, like a automatic message in product X when someone buys?
The seller actually receives a notification when buyer clicks Buy and then, Approve buttons. It reads "Approved contract #12 (for example) has been created". I have just re-checked it to make sure it works. As the person who takes that action (Approve), the buyer does not need to see it.

When the item creator succeeds in making their item, the status of the item immediately becomes active by default, this is to avoid confusion from the item maker like me, LOL.
It really makes little sense to ask sellers to set activation manually. This has been fixed and once the dev server is merged, will be live on beta.

IMO, it's better if the selection of the network and token supported by the seller is done at the end of the process, not at the beginning (TBH, this is very confusing).
This has both sides. There are people who prefer to see how to pay before they take any action (click to buy), but I see your point and am taking note of it.

I also don't like the home view of this platform, why not immediately display the various items that sellers on this platform offer instead of just the metamask login menu?
The login page will be preceded by the marketplace main page once we complete internal work with item contracts. It is on our roadmap for Q1 2023.

It was fairly good with the help of instructions in the OP, but how about a new user who has not read the instructions in the OP?
It may have a learning curve for new users, but can be resolved with assisting materials like explainer videos, user documentation, etc. We will prepare and add a 2-minute demo before the official release.

--> Adding items needs to be a little more direct rather than checking out under my items. I think "Add Item" or "Post item/advert" button should in the homepage like "Create Contract"

--> When filling in the information, the Tx button seemed not to give any effect on the texts. I was wondering what it does or what it's purpose is, Please check it out.

--> Delivery time should be a little flexible to at least maybe 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes etc

--> Price and Zenland fee per sale should be indicated in the base value of the tokens used, such as gUSDC and ETH rather than using only the fiat value USD to avoid confusion in the slight differences in values.
Suggestions #1 and #3 will be reviewed as we receive more user feedback.

Tx button is one of the other formatting options in the item description box. Its role is to clear formatting and will have an effect on text only if it has been formatted (bolded, underlined, etc.).

The item price from inside the seller's account only displays a numeric value because of the multiple tokens option. On other pages where the buyer has chosen the network/token, the token and value are displayed side-by-side (for example, 5 gUSDC) On the other hand, a Zenland fee does not have a set currency and displays the dollar equivalent. It is paid separately from the seller's internal wallet which can be topped up with BTC, ETH, DAI, USDT, etc., and displayed on the dashboard in dollar equivalent.

When creating a new item and there is a slight network disruption as noted by this message, "Contract operations are disabled due to connection loss. Please check ~
This has already been looked into. It makes sense to make the button active again when the connection is restored.

--> The link of items under my items should be similar to the links of items under profile in case the user wants to share the link of the item he has advertised to someone else
This is a well-noted imperfection that may impact an item's accessibility. It is on our priority list, and soon both links will open the item page.

--> Item/advert once created can not be deleted (if there is a delete option, then I pretty sure it’s hard to locate)
The item can be reset to inactive and it will no longer be visible on the profile or accessible for a contract. The delete option has been added to our To Do list.

--> The created item also has a buy button on the seller's side. This should be only on the buyer's side.
Yes, the seller can see and interact with the item added but cannot create a contract. The button is there in case the seller wants to check how the contract with the item looks from the buyer's view.

I had to physically refresh the page in order for me to see the message that the transfer was successful and that I may proceed with the order
Good catch, this is a bug that has been reported to dev team. All applicable fixes will be made before the next version release.

N.B. Please also add the dark mode for the marketplace. It would be great.
Dark mode for the marketplace and the entire app is the go-to for many users, and for sure is in plan Smiley

The Testing was done using two different browsers (Chrome for the seller and Firefox for the buyer)

On the seller's side

A. Addition of an item

It was fairly good with the help of instructions in the OP, but how about a new user who has not read the instructions in the OP?
It would definitely be so hard of a new user.

Suggestions

When creating a new item and there is a slight network disruption as noted by this message, "Contract operations are disabled due to connection loss. Please check your network settings and refresh the page." it leads to a couple of problems

1. Refreshing, everything is erased, making the user to refill the information afresh. It would be good if the page would auto refresh in the background once
the network is restored instead of one having to reconnect the wallet again after refreshing.

2. If one just closes the dialogue box and does not refresh, he/she will be able to fill in all the information, but the add button will still remain faded out even when the network has been restored. This can put the user into confusion, thinking what could have gone wrong. I spent over 15 minutes trying to figure out what I had entered wrongly.

--> The link of items under my items should be similar to the links of items under profile in case the user wants to share the link of the item he has advertised to someone else

For example

Link under items in profile - https://beta.zen.land/profile/0xd531fd889935d4f05c072da96dbab42645f78985/items/hrtgrqegertg-23 (working if accessed by someone else)
Link under my items - https://beta.zen.land/items/hrtgrqegertg-23 (not working if accessed by someone else) This should be the same as the above link.

--> Item/advert once created can not be deleted (if there is a delete option, then I pretty sure it’s hard to locate)

--> The created item also has a buy button on the seller's side. This should be only on the buyer's side.

B. Transfers

There were some challenges I faced;

After the transfer was successful, confirmed as per the blockchain and the platform from the buyer's side. Nothing happened on the seller's side. Even when I synced with the blockchain, which I thought was the purpose of the button.

Instead, I had to physically refresh the page in order for me to see the message that the transfer was successful and that I may proceed with the order

Suggestion

--> Make the seller's page to auto-refresh just like the buyer's page does once the transfer is successful

C. Fulfillment

The buyer's release button was active even before the seller had fulfilled the contract conditions. This can open room for scam in case the buyer ignorantly released before the seller has finished fulfilling their part

Suggestion

--> Make the buyer's release button inactive until the seller fulfill their part of the contract and confirms.

No challenge in the remaining part of the contract completion and writing reviews

N.B. Please also add the dark mode for the marketplace. It would be great.

Zenland Marketplace Review By MAAManda

1. Adding Item (Seller Side)
In this phase I didn't have any trouble at all, after I went to "My Items" -> "Add Item", I found a form that contains several things that I have to fill in, such as item name, add image for the item, description, delivery time, buyer protection time, price, network for payment purpose and 2 additional settings (one off product & pre approved item).

But after I managed to add the item that I want to offer, from the buyer's account side, I can't find the item that I made from the seller's side. Turns out I have to change the status of my item to active first.
Suggestion: When the item creator succeeds in making their item, the status of the item immediately becomes active by default, this is to avoid confusion from the item maker like me, LOL.

2. Item Buying (Buyer Side)
After making the item from the seller's side active, I immediately looked for it through the seller's Zenland account link, you can find it here too: https://beta.zen.land/profile/0xca234d6d9474966d6084b6b5462a3d21c36c132b/items.

When I chose the item offered by the Seller, I was quite confused about the next process because I couldn't click the "Buy Now" button, It turned out that I had to first select the network and token that was supported by the seller before the "Buy Now" button could be clicked.
Suggestion: IMO, it's better if the selection of the network and token supported by the seller is done at the end of the process, not at the beginning (TBH, this is very confusing).

Then, after I click the "Buy Now" button, it goes to the page for approval which contains information regarding the items being sold by the seller, then I click "Approve". After clicking "Approve", then I was also directed to a deployment contract, there were no difficulties at this stage and also the payment transfer stage.

3. Completion (Seller Side)

4. Payment Release (Buyer Side)

5. Conclusion
In general I don't find anything wrong with this platform like bugs and others. But I'm just a little confused about all the processes involved, I think it's a little complicated and might confuse the user. Besides that, I also don't like the home view of this platform, why not immediately display the various items that sellers on this platform offer instead of just the metamask login menu?. Even so, I still like some of the features available on this platform such as the many payment methods from various networks and the chat feature between sellers and buyers after the contract is deployed.

Note: I did this review using 2 Metamask accounts from 2 different browsers (Chrome and Firefox)

I'm ready to give my test/opinion/review

I followed exactly the steps explained in OP's thread, so:

1 - I logged in two different browsers in Metamask (Microsoft's Edge and Brave Browser)
2 - As a seller it's easy to find the section: My Itens -> Add Item -> Complete the form -> Add

3 - After that you go to the page of My Itens and my product is already there, just need to click the Slide Bar to be Active

4 - I grabbed the link of the "store" and open with my second wallet, the buyer.

5 - I saw that everything was there, picture, explanation, informations, accepted coins to pay and after I chose the coin and network the button Buy Now is active, just need to click, next you can check the informations and aprove.

6 - It will go to a new screen where is easy to understand what to do next, just click the blue button "Deploy" and confirm in Metamask, after that the button Transfer will automatically appear, now you need to interact with Metamask again to confirm transaction.

7 - Now the site automatically inform you that your Contract is active, just need to wait the seller to fulfill the conditions.

8 - Back to the seller I can see in my contracts that there's one active, very informative and easy to find. I just need to click them and it informs the contract is active, I can proceed with my buyer. I can chat with the person, delivery the product and click in Complete.

9 - Now as a buyer I check if the product is right and I can do nothing, just leaving the time to contract ends, I can release imediately or I can open a dispute. (The buyer can chat to seller, and/or can ask help for Zenland to analyze the case). I opted to release in this case.

10 - After that, there's the final step to leave a review for the Seller and Buyer, both can give stars and make a comment.

Notes:
--> I did these transactions a few times, not only once or twice, everytime trying something diffent, opening a dispute, editing the item, activate and deactivating the item, trying the avatar, pictures, descriptions, tried in my desktop and laptop.
--> I don't know if this is good or not  Cheesy but honestly I didn't find any single bug or error during the process, I wish I had something to give to you, but not a single issue.
--> I want to emphasize the great UX and design of your service, the colors are working perfectly, it's clean, professional and easy to navigate.
--> All the links I tested are working, the documentation is also good and well explained.
--> I imagine people will sell digital products, and is there any way to make the process automatic, like a automatic message in product X when someone buys?

--> One last thing I want to point out, the little info button on all items are extremely helpful to undertand the whole process.

I'll keep looking for bugs ok, and if I found one I'll make a new post or send an MP

Review Done: this was a great challenge, really enjoyed it Smiley
-------------------------
So I had to populate my sellers profile with some product or service which I did do by adding items relatable to the forum which is, Bitcointalk announcement thread and coin creation which can be seen on this link>>> https://beta.zen.land/profile/0x45a07e2637ead5f5d7cef1e16b84d2b7f2b285c0/items or https://beta.zen.land/profile/MrSatoshTech/items . The Sellers demo marketplace can be seen below

Zenlands marketplace contracts (item contracts) are really a game changer, seller can easily add several blockchain payments with ease just not sure if other popular coins such as litecoin, bitcoin etc will be supported...but great innovation all in all.

So as a buyer after using seller's contract address, am able to see items on their store and which coin payments are supported on each item...and upon finding what I want I simply clicked on the item which reveals further details about the gig such as delivery time, Buyer protection time and Accepted blockchain networks for your payment.

And did I mention that you can have preapproved contracts that don't require back-and-forth processes such as waiting for the approval of the contract which is a time saver if you ask me. So basically with preapproved contracts once that Buy button is hit everything populates without the need to wait for approval from the other party.

I like the real time timer that starts the countdown upon the Buyer transferring the coins to the contract(escrow) and the process at this point is smooth ridding for both buyer and seller.. The time given is based on Sellers contract timing terms of which if not fulfilled the buyer can dispute the transaction....very impressive and self explanatory process.

and the seller equally gets the timer running before "Dispute button" is active on the buyers side should time run out for the seller.
-----------------
Could I get some clarity, during the fulfillment stage, why is the release button active on the buyer's side when this stage heavily relies on the seller delivering the product or service to the buyer ?? Which is wait for product/service delivery then buyer authorizes release of funds out of escrow Smiley
--------------------

After a successful transaction, it comes down to a review of the transaction and its a done deal if all goes well, unless there is a dispute Cool I so feel ready for Zenland  Cool Cool

Edit: I got Paid

Official Zenland Account on BitcoinTalk
Hello everyone!

Now after we finished testing our escrow tool, we are running a new beta test program for our marketplace and invite you all to participate in it. All eligible testers will be rewarded for their honest feedback. The tests are now run at https://beta.zen.land. The app supports all Metamask-compatible browsers on a desktop.

You can read our official announcements thread here.

What will you test?

Our marketplace contracts (item contracts) allow sellers to add items (products, services, assets) to their profiles, and sell to multiple buyers from one contract.

You will test the marketplace functionality by adding an item to your first account and sharing its profile link with your second account to buy it.

Test rewards

We will pay test rewards to Bitcoin/TRC-20 USDT/BSC-20 USDT wallet addresses provided by the testers after posting a report in this thread.

- Full & Senior members $20 (5 slots);
- Hero and Legendary members $30 (5 slots).

Eligibility criteria

Earned 10 merits and more in the last 120 days.
Do not have negative trust feedback.
Are invited via PM on BitcoinTalk and given the test funds (stablecoins & ETH/BNB)
Completes a test contract(s) and submits a report.

Basic reports requirements

We do not have many requirements but we would like it to be:

- in-depth, with a good understanding of the process;
- constructive (we want you to show us how to make the marketplace better);
- have at least 150 words (screenshots are optional);
- express an original opinion, not based on other reports.

The report must be submitted after a full contract cycle (from creation to execution).

How does this testing work?

To test, you will need two Metamask accounts (to simulate a seller and a buyer). If you have two different Metamask installed browsers, you can go through the whole process simultaneously; otherwise, you'll need to switch between two Metamask accounts on a single browser.

*We will provide trial funds (gETH/USDC or BNB/BUSD) for the test network to the address given in your application.

1. Log in using one Metamask account (as a seller). Go to My Items and Add Item.
Create any product/service, and choose 1 test network and 1 token you have requested funds for in your application (Goerli/USDC or Binance Test Network/BUSD).
Enter the price (5 or less USDC/BUSD) and check the "Pre-approved item" box. Click "Add" and set to "Active".

2. Log in from another Metamask address and go to beta.zen.land/profile/seller_metamask_address (e.g. https://beta.zen.land/profile/0x02ce7c23f146db6559a8f5871d5d32aa28c94050/items) and click on the item you (as a seller) created. Click on the test network and token and click "Buy now".

5. Switch back to the buyer's account and release the payment from contract.
6. Leave the reviews for both accounts (optional).

Special notice to all testers

Please, make sure you are testing the right contract. Marketplace contracts are called item contracts. Once created, they are seen on sellers' profiles under the items tab.

There is no fixed turnaround time for running and submitting your reports, however, we expect it to be done within 5 days after approval.

Feel free to point out the flaws and screenshot the bugs. Your report should briefly describe how the test contract went through and whether or not you found it useful and why. Let us know if there are any technical issues or difficulties in understanding the process.
