Art can be anything really, if people think an eye glasses is an art then it's an art, how can you define art really? Everything around us is art. That glasses is an art, the more simple art is actually the more good it is, the more familiar it is to people and the more people can relate to it then it's going to be a hit.

Art is a delusion which has only one purpose, to make rich people feel important and superior to poor people.

They act like they understand it while you poor fucks don't and they use this to have control over the poor.

In these modern times everybody can become an artist with enough dedication.

Buy a canon mark iv, you'll be a photography god instantly,
Buy a Fender Stratocaster® and rock peoples socks off.
Get a wacom tablet and start drawing art like you were an apprentice of Pablo Picasso himself.

It used to work before the internet came, but not anymore. The only thing matters now is money.

 Cool

There are so many funny things about art nowadays, there are another case that people prank the art museum by placing pineapple on the table and people consider it as art, the other day empty picture people consider it as art, and now a glasses is considered as art, so confused with the meaning of "art"

I can't believed the fall for that. They don't know who left it there and they are all assuming that it is already an art. I guess that one who left it is LOL right now seeing how his prank has put the limelight on his sunglasses. What should we see next? A hair comb? A rayban? LOL. This story is quite funny indeed.

LOL. This goes to show that people won't be too much speculative when in comes to art so as not to look ignorant about it. What kind of artwork would be a pair of glasses on the floor be? It's the same as how we tend to believe anything about science that some scientists tell us even if it's not yet proven and is still up for study. Being in a museum probably placed people's minds into a trance that most things they'd see there would be a work of art

This is great! It really shows how much bullshit exists in the art world. The fact that there are no rules and some artist an a gallery say "this" is art, no matter how regular and little effort is required, anyone can put some regular items together on a table, put some dramatic lighting over it and call it "art"...without any connection to an intelligent thought or point. Grin Grin

Modern art today, sadly, is shittier than actual traditional dung art.

Thankfully, there seem to be gems found every now and then... This for example - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ztax9lCE-Mk -give me hope.

This money laundering use seems plausible, I remember when Russian football clubs started buying/ selling players for very high amounts of money and later it was speculated that real transfer fees was much lower and it was all money laundering.
Something without intrinsic value = perfect tool for money laundering.

What would determine intrinsic value though?

LOL. this is funny indeed. though I can say i've seen other works of "art" like these before where it would make you wonder, how did they come up in a museum where I can actually do this at home myself right after taking a poop? Cheesy these stunts are often done by mentalists to prove something Cheesy

Actually in my country someone collected a few hundreds of small river stones and sold them all as lucky stones and made millions simply by having a few con men coming and start talking around the guy about how good those stones are and even paying thousands of dollars in front of others to trick them into believing they're really lucky stones.

It's not about whether or not you could help others by donating to charities but it's about your heart, if you are willing to cherish and even pay fortunes for something idiotic and totally unneeded but never thought about to help other people that means you don't deserve to be the medium between God and people.

Art is really hard to describe, is it good, is it excellent,  is it bad, is it the worst? We can't say that easily. For normal people like me, I define paintings and popular artworks excellent, some define it as simple, I think the definition of art depends on how we look at it, and how the creators do the artwork.

'Art' is sometimes (often?) used for money laundering which explains the very high prices for questionable pieces of work.  Basically it's hard for the authorities to argue that some rich guy doesn't  feel, in his heart, that some piece of cloth with some scribbling isn't worth $1M.  To him at least.

I learned that from watching hours of interviews of a very interesting sometimes mobster sometimes CIA contract agent by the name of Chauncey Holt.  The interviews were taped by his daughter to document his life.  Among many other things he was an artist.  Anyway, I found the tid-bit about money laundering to be interesting.

Holt did another video 6 days before he died describing his role and the role of certain other people in the JFK assassination.  He seems pretty credible to me, and some of his information seems to line up pretty well with other info from people like James Files.  Quite fascinating stuff.

Next time someone should take a dump there, that "piece of art" would employ more than just sight  Tongue

But on the other side I remember than some cleaner binned art installation becaouse he/ she thought it was piece of rubbish  Grin

I always have not put art in high regards, what makes a painting so perfect, what sets it apart from the others, these decision are made by so called art experts who haven't done any piece of art in their entire life. What a shame.

LOL this was so funny. Modern art enthusiasts are basically no better than wine snobs - change the labels on the bottle and they wouldn't know  the difference. I believe an artist before made an installation from used condoms. Those are a rarity these days. That was at least (surprisingly) aesthetically pleasing. These days modern art tend to be real shit - in some cases literally!

Heck, even literal crap art is sometimes better than modern art!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cnkCP2yQ6w&t=6s

Excellent.
Modern art is sometimes intense.
But most of it is the pure shit you could expect from "artists" that are here only for money...

LOL, at what point did folks notice that while every other exhibit had a placard with the artists name on it, this one 'exhibit' is unmarked and at floor level?

God bless the fools and babes. But, this gives me hope as much as it disappoints; we can still see simple beauty.
