Why bother with a dead coin when you can get FREE MINT with 0 downside?

Maybe the problem is that I'm still using the original wallet.
this meant the wallet.dat file.

I use the latest windows version 4.11.9

the problem is not the difficulty or the balance, i think there is some bug in the wallet. when i tried to use the old backup then it worked. However, I still see a mess in the minting screen, I have a lot of non-existent transactions there. Maybe the problem is that I'm still using the original wallet.
What version of the Pandacoin wallet are you using?  I think you should run the latest.   https://pandacoin.tech/wallet

My wallet stopped minting completely 17 days ago. I have the latest wallet, unlocked for minting, I tried deleting the entire blockchain directory and syncing from scratch. I also try the -reindex command, all without success.
Does anyone know how to get it working again?

Maybe the difficulty rose?

Do you think your balance is high enough?

Mine also stopped at one point about a year ago and that's what I was told.

https://atomicdex.io/en/mobile/   Both Android and iOS versions are available and support our Pandacoin (PND).  AtomicDEX app works as a handy multi coin non-custodial wallet as well as a decentralized exchange.

Thank you for that link to calculator.

the calculator shows me the same % as my wallet.

isn't the 2.5% APY stackable? so does it matter how often you mint? I see in the explorer that some really big sums got a 2.5% reward and before that something like 1%. That is already around 3.5%. The sum of time is 1 year and 2 months, so why 3.5% and not the calculated 2.7%?
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pnd/address.dws?PUhqmidaYT8R7JHSwnbrPAcYf9KSrxgW6h.htm

so back to my problem. I found where it is. I found some very strange things while researching and comparing with the wallet and block explorer.

Problems I have seen:

a. the wallet shows and tries to stake transactions that do not exist in the blockchain explorer
b. the wallet shows and tries to stake transactions that do not exist in build wallet coin control window
c. my wallet address balances are lower compared to what the block explorer shows

1. how I can repairs these issues?
2. is there also a command for *.conf file, which make turn off stake splitting? if not can be added in short time or next update?
3. is it possible to add command into wallet, in debug windows like "setstakesplitthreshold" / "getstakesplitthreshold" and "setstakecombinethreshold" / "getstakecombinethreshold" and "getstakingstatus", in short time or next update?
4. is there a way how I can combine transaction back to bigger amout without sending them?
5. how is now set that setstakesplitthreshold and setstakecombinethreshold by default?

I wonder if my wallet has control of the entire balance now since I mentioned all those issues.

EDIT:

just finished -reindex command at start. That fixed problem a. and b. All that big value transaction with high probability and others are gone now.
remaining problem c. is still here. But I just forgot that immature ballance is not seen in coin control windows until it is mature, right? (which value is probably that what I see is missing) If so, all is resolved.

Just as a sidenote, since you appear to be confused about that. It doesn't really matter when the staking transaction happens. Your reward size will be adjusted proportionally to match any days "lost" in-between start and end of the process.
You can check how that works by adjusting "Age of transaction (days)" in the calculator I linked.

each of  my biggest two ballances have 17.871% probability.
that mean, that should be chosen to be minted in average approximatedly every 5.6 days.
That's certainly not how it works. You can use http://peercoin.github.io/peercoin-POSCalculator/ for example to calculate percentages properly.

so I think, someone don't want to reward me or others to have big and frequent reward, but only small reward.
The entire network is trying to do the exact same thing you are doing at the moment: generate blocks to get the block reward.
Read: You're competing against a volume of ~100 million coins worth of valid transactions each day. Transactions that have been actively trying to stake for months on end.
And there's only about 150-170 blocks that can be generated on any given day.

Before you change that POS logic in that one specific update for wallet, reward was no problem.
Can you point out which exact update you are talking about? Because the PoS algo hasn't been touched in years.

To summarise:
Either combine your transactions and turn off stake splitting if you can't deal with sporadic-every-now-and-then rewards, be more patient, or get more coins to stake for you.

I have only one wallet.

now I explain this from shorter mint probability view:
lets talk about 24hour mint probability.

each of  my biggest two ballances have 17.871% probability.
that mean, that should be chosen to be minted in average approximatedly every 5.6 days. (except waiting first 30 days after minting and next 60 days to reach that % mint state.)
but it was not chosen for 266 days now. I think like, why wallet don't want to give me bigger and more frequent reward?

wallet rather repeatedly choose something like 0.219% probability with low lowest reward, which should be chosen to mint in average every 456 days.
so I think, someone don't want to reward me or others to have big and frequent reward, but only small reward.

Before you change that POS logic in that one specific update for wallet, reward was no problem. After that this is what is happening now.

Is this my calculation here correct or not?
if not please show me correct calculation.

transaction with highest probability don't have highest probability.
By that logic we should be seeing a lot of small time transactions, near 100 coins or lower, minting blocks left and right. That is not the case.

Are you, per chance, keeping your larger transactions in a secondary wallet?

Something which have 100% probability for more than 260 days and was not minted is clearly telling there is something wrong with formula in POS selection.

Now I tell you what I see in wallet. Really simple.

-------------------------------------------------
top 10 transaction with highest balances:

0 was minted in last 30 days.
lowest age is 232
highest age is 266
lowest mint probability 99.536%
highest mint probability 99.999% (read 100%) for long time it was 100%
-------------------------------------------------
top 10 transaction with lowest balances:

8 were minted in last 30 days
2 were minted 66 days ago
their max. mint probability is around 17.9% (I see that on transaction with similiar amount which is 115 days old)
-------------------------------------------------

Summary:
transaction with highest probability don't have highest probability. Someone should check that POS formula.

I think this is proof that probability column is just for fun now.
I will continue report here next mont if there was success minting highest probability transaction.

I hope this will be taken in serious manner

Last thing. When i look into https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pnd/#!extraction and see all that extraction with probability lower than 15% and for oposite my 100% transaction doing nothing for 266 days, it is really funny. Or is it someone's intention?

edit:
to say it little bit from side, wallet don't give me interest 2.5% APY on highest balances, where the chances and reward are biggest. why?

after a month none of them was minted.

now in 90days mint probability:

2 of them 263 days age, 99.999% mint probability
2 of them 257 days age, 99.981% mint probability
2 of them 229 days age, 99.978% mint probability

can someone explain the formula or logic how the transaction for POS is selected? Why the highest probability no longer has priority over lower probability. It is pure random or how it work?
And of course I have latest wallet version.

>can someone explain the formula or logic how the transaction for POS is selected?
99% 90 days mint probability means you are required to run your wallet 90 days at a time (read: 2160 hours) to get a probability of 99% (read: very likely).
This doesn't mean you cannot mint anywhere in-between 1 second and 90 days of runtime. It's just more likely to happen towards the 90 day marker.

"263 days age" doesn't factor into the above outside of accumulating transaction weight up to the 90 day mark.

>Why the highest probability no longer has priority over lower probability.
The selection process is not stack based. It's based on probability.
If you were to flip a coin, where each side has a probability (read: chance) of 50%, would you end up being surprised about getting head over tails on any given flip?

Is not working fine. I have coins from update, which was not staked and have 99.8% probability  within 30 days and nothing happend for 232 days now. Also coins which have probability 6% have no problem. So wehere i there logic behind that?

Let's watch this 6 transaction of mine in 90days mint probability:

2 of them 232 days age, 100% mint probability
2 of them 226 days age, 99.996% mint probability
2 of them 199 days age, 99.995% mint probability

I will report here, if there was success of minting them in this 90days time frame.

If you are having issues or concerns, I would be happy to look further into this with you. The Pandacoin development team offers support through email,  send an email with as much detail as you can to [email protected]  per https://wiki.pandacoin.tech/support/support

Are you updated to the latest version ?

Staking is working fine IMO,  90days is the maximum coin age, so gaining more age not staking will not help.  That said our network difficulty is high so staking is taking longer than it was, however the longer it takes the more reward you will get.
