Well i can confirm to have started solo mining when there was still 4minutes left in the countdown, someone posted the password in the IRC, when i check the block number it was already at 330.. 
same
and all the pools i registered for are not working. Great. Fail launch for me.

Try this if you vertminer crashes for you. Conservative but stable.
