Pools list? I do not see a definitive one on the website, or PG1 Edit of the ANN of this coin. I would like to see who is offering this as far as pools go, so I can make a decision on if I will mine this or not. Thanks in advance. ( would prefer a pool list by the dev team and not random pool advertisements )

Well one idea is, why don't we just fork the genesis block and invalidate the premined branch and build on a branch that is completely free of premining? If all the pools cooperate I can see us having enough network hashing power to overtake the original branch.

Can I get my sums right on this - how much of the 3% is the IPO, and how much in BTC was the IPO (200?). I'm trying to figure out what your average 1BTC investor will get in terms of Pandas in their wallet.

2% of the 3% is for the IPO , remainder is toward services, sites, dev and various others

Am I getting this right

3% Premine = 3,000,000,000 Panda
2% of 3% for IPO = 60,000,000 Panda = 200 BTC
1 BTC = 300,000 Panda?

Nice maths!

I thought you learned maths from your philosophy teacher. Grin Grin Grin

And if that is correct then a 1 million panda block reward is worth 3 BTC?
What's the percentage of 1 million panda reward in the first 50,000 block?

2% of total coins for IPO = 2 billion = 200BTC

But someone posted that it is not 2% of total coins, but 2% of the 3% premine that is allocated for IPO...

And if 2% of the 3% premine is worth 200BTC ...then the 3% premine is valued at ...10000 BTC  Shocked

This is not true. It is somewhere between 33% and 66% of the premine that is allocated to the IPO

Ah...so the 2% of 3% actually means 2/3 of the 3% premine was allocated for IPO and only 1% (1 billion panda) of premine is still being held by Wolong?

That is the way I interpret it too.  So the IPO holders get their coins at 10 satoshi.

Then the premine is worth 300BTC...not really an obscene amount of money...still good money though.

So the IPO will allow them to dump their premined coins at a higher price right from the start and wolong can always return the IPO. It just sounds like a more elaborate pump and dump coin

Those with BAMT rig may want to try out this release customized for VTC...

http://www.reddit.com/r/vertcoin/comments/1x9fd1/vertcoin_bamt_v150_aka_someone_had_to_do_it/

But it is not optimized ... I had to tweak my core speed down form 1090 -> 1000.
That increased the hashrate from 280 kH to 350 kH.
280X-Toxic

So what works for scrypt has to be adjusted for adaptive-N.

You are welcome to send some VTC my way if this helps you...

Why is everybody so evil towards Wolong?

Does he pump?   Yes!
Does he announce it to people so that they can join in?    Yes!
Does anybody force you to play along?    No

I am one of those (stupid as so many of you like to refer to us) IPO investors.  I do not know Wolong and he certianly doesn't know me.  He announced the second IPO on Twitter and it was a first come first serve basis.  I can verify that I got in without him ever acknowledging my existence before.  I suggest that you look at his twitter feed and go compare it to the charts to make a decison on his level of honesty.  Personally, I feel he is one of the most honest guys in the crypto world and have joined the IPO purely because of him.

If you are a hater, then don't play along.  Avoid the coin like the plague and move on.  Do you get joy out of trying to tear others down?  Personally, I get joy out of watching the haters missing out on 1000% or more increases on their investment.   Grin
