I don't think it will happen panic selling cause of the current price for bitcoin. Just a few hours ago I saw it again hit 1000$. It happen on the new year. But there wasn't any panic selling, cause of the most people were calm and people expected bitcoin to rise even higher. I think this time it's gonna be repeated.
panic selling will occur when prices are high or prices drop very quickly and it makes users to panic. but when the price is stable as it is today. Panic seemed alternately will not happen

What if somebody will make a huge dump and sell it all the way to earn some profits because of this rally in bitcoin, and someone sees it and do that same thing. Is there any effect on bitcoin when someone to this,?

Well that would require the "somebody" to own at least 100 000 btc or even higher to accomplish that price manipulation of yours . If that happens the price will decrease greatly as there is a noticeable amount of bitcoin that has been dumped . In case like this it is the best to go with the flow and buy more bitcoin . If its about panic sellers, I highly doubt that they will be able to make an effect on bitcoins price as most newbie in bitcoin only owns a small portion on the other hand the others who have enough knowledge owns huge amounts .
Probably not, people have learned from the past experience and they are going to sell when the price is going to reach 1200$ or so, because last time the big whales were satisfied with the price and decided to sell and when the price fell down they were able to buy more bitcoin probably now they have double the amount that they had, and that is a very good way to make huge profit and I think people are going to do the same when it reaches a high price.

Even if price falls in coming days I don't think that people will get panic and sell their coins instead they will prefer to hold their coins and will sell only when price reaches to their expected level and if price falls then people will start buying more coins as everyone has made a mistake of selling in the past when price dropped but I don't think they will repeat the same mistake again.

Now Bitcoin again expensive. Not so sharply like before the New Year, but the price goes up. Most likely it will fall soon. Not much, but cheaper. And I'm sure that there will be many alarmists, who again will quickly sell your Bitcoins

For me the panic selling time is now. The price rised a lot since few days ago, I don't know if the price will continue high and rising more and more. I won't to risk myself, better to sell and make some profit, better than nothing.
If the price continues rising, no problem, I can buy again and hold, at least a small profit will be made.
at this stage we are not expecting any panic like situation again.we already have passed from previous experience and is still recovering its previous position, hope this time bitcoin price will cross 1200 USD and at the end of 2017  may be cross 2000 USD level, therefor for those people who are still welling to buy bitcoin have good chance to make some good money.

Bitcoin is probably more susceptible to panic selling than stocks. In the stock market, you have many metrics from the company by which you can help determine what is an appropriate price, ranging from revenues to profits and everything in between. When the prices drop in stocks, you an mathematically determine if the price should be dropping based on changing fundementals or if the company has become less efficient so that the price should decline. With Bitcoin, large price drops always carry the risk that this is a new normal since there are no earnings or business underlying the price movements. This could lend to much more panicky investors since there's no way to judge whether the price movements are appropriate

Panic selling may be a one-shot event and fatal at that

For example, if it becomes known that the company whose stock is being traded is basically producing and selling air (like many "start-ups" of the DotCom era). I'm not engaged in trading stocks but I think there are 10(0) trash stocks per 1 worthy stock (if not more). Therefore, we can't just compare Bitcoin with stocks as such without specifying which stock specifically we are talking about. Indeed, IBM or Apple stocks are not as panicky as Bitcoin, but overall stocks are panicky as hell too. Really, if a company goes bust (which happens every other day), its stock becomes downright garbage, but what are the chances that Bitcoin is going to collapse beyond any hope?

Of course this will affect the price of bitcoin.
And this same thing just happened a few months ago when the Chinese central bank issued a statement that bitcoin is a risky investment and people should invest safely. Because of that the price fell from 1100$ to straight 800$. But luckily at this point the price has crossed 1000$ again.

In my opinion. bitcoin price today is high enough, everyone has the freedom to sell bitcoin held whenever and whatever. although bitcoin prices are likely to fall due to panic selling but I believe bitcoin prices will rise again. but panic selling does not guarantee it will benefit in the future if the price of bitcoin does not go down after they do panic selling, just be carefull.
This new price surge that you have witness now is the second attempt to surpass the all time high, we have seen this price last month and it's back again, so I think this will not gonna fall like in the past. We have the liberty to see for a profit but never sell all, we have to put something for longer term, we will get more profit once we have more patience.

If people are too rush to take a decision to sell Bitcoin it is wrong because Bitcoin has the prospect to continue to rise against the Fiat .don't take a decision as panic because panic can kill you give in.

I guess what will happen now since the price is rising again will be panic buying, why not? The price movement will probably gonna hit to $1,000 again and I know some would love to sell at the current selling price to cash out a bit, but I tell you, if you don't badly need money you could hold longer for better profit.

As the price increase has been taking place several users could be in panic without knowing the reason behind the current increase. Possibly its better to hold as quoted to get more profit. Panic sellers too get a good profit as the price variation is experienced about more than $50.
Panic will cause more losses, when prices fall or prices rise even be strongly advised to remain calm and not panic. because panic will make you not concentrate to select the next step
Sometimes it has to be recognized that it may be too late to sell, especially if the price is on the bottom line, when chances are higher that it can recover. There are cases where it is better to sell at a loss, especially when it comes to altcoins that are just pump and dump schemes... but, in my opinion, Bitcoin is different, and so far most investors who have been patient in the long run were rewarded.

still when there is a new investor coming and they bought a lot bitcoin.
but then they feel not satisfy and underpressure when the price dropped a little , you think what they will do?
as a newcomer they will just do panic selling whenever the price dropped , as they play with a lot of money, that's what i think.

You would get a clearer answer if you specify the amount of bitcoin which are going to be sold. "Huge" can be anywhere from 1000BTC to 1MBTC. The former won't even move the market while the latter will likely result in a substantial drop on the price.

I agree. In addition, the volume of the market at the dump time is also so important. The buy reflex of the buyers is another parameter which can influence the fall. Another parameter is the power of second and third sell wave. I hope this situation will never happen.

It is not really panic selling, when you are dealing with over ten or twenty btc then that is a huge amount of money so a simple dump might lead those people to sell as well to avoid unnecessary loss. Imagine if you lose $10 times 20 btc thats silly $200 . It may not mean much to americans however for those that dont use dollar or euro, it is a huge amount of money

As to me, this is not a good way to compare things

Indeed, in developing countries 200 dollars can mean a lot and make all the difference (e.g. between the poor and not so poor), but you don't take into account that even in such countries there are quite a few folks which are better off than the rest of the population. And for them $200 is not a big deal either. In other words, if you have 20 BTC in your stash, you are obviously not very bad overall (otherwise you wouldn't have so much), and $200 for you are the same $200 dollars as for almost anyone who has 20 bitcoins
