I'm not sure, but you usually have to unlock an encrypted wallet to stake coins. Mintcoin works like that anyway. I have not tried this new particle wallet yet.

ow does the "staking" work in the new wallet that will be created? Do we need to leave our wallet open to receive the coins? Or any time we open/launch or wallet client the staking will add coins to our balance? And does the transaction fees awarded to stake holders work in the same manner..or?

Is it OK to put blockchain files from the old wallet's folder in the new wallet's folder to speed up the blockchain download time, or do we have to download the whole blockchain?
