    Deloitte Blockchain Survey: What it Means for the Cryptocurrency Industry
    According to Netscribes INC., the global blockchain technology market will be worth $13.96 billion by 2022, growing at a compound rate of 42.8%. This growth will likely be due to the uptake of the blockchain technology by mainstream industries in order to gain a competitive edge.

    This view has been supported by a recent Deloitte survey that drew respondents from 1000 large companies in 7 countries. The outcome of the survey shows that 74% of the respondents feel there is compelling reason to use blockchain technology in building practical business applications.

    Additionally, 34% of the businesses sampled pointed out that they have already initiated production of some form of blockchain technology. Further, 41% of the sampled are targeting to introduce a blockchain technology application in the next year.

    According to Dan Ramirez, CEO at Vanig, the possible upsurge in blockchain adoption will drive the long-term value of utility and security tokens, as well as coins. This is due to the new focus that makes it easier for corporations to adopt blockchain technology.

    Denis Farnosov, founder, and CEO of AlfaToken is of the opinion that development of enterprise applications will catalyze wider blockchain adoption.

    He notes, “The increased development of enterprise applications will bring macro benefits to the cryptocurrency industry. The growth of private blockchains will bring spillover benefits to public applications. We can see wider adoption, improved security and an increase in demand for smart contracts.”

    Even so, Carl Kirchhoff, CEO, and co-founder of SportsFix predicts that companies may not make a complete shift to the blockchain. He says, “Companies will still rely on centralized ledgers but may adopt smart contracts for the cost saving benefits. Unfortunately, corporations may take the most beneficial uses of the blockchain for themselves while excluding the other parts that are not advantageous to them.”

Suddenly the mainstream media started caring a lot about bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and the blockchain.     Prem Sekaran (Co-founder, Vanig) has been passionate about Retail and Technology, specifically on Process efficiency, automation, and Machine Learning. He has been working in the space for well over a decade. Prem’s first introduction to blockchain came with Bitcoin and Ethereum cryptocurrencies in 2015 and like with other technology enthusiasts been fascinated with the concept of decentralized systems and how it was being used to redefine financial transactions and slowly every other field.

    Since then he had been closing following the various projects that were using blockchain and playing around with the idea of using blockchain in Retail E-commerce space in his mind. In late 2016 Walmart announced their partnership with IBM to track the movement of pork from China using Blockchain, and mining giant BHP Billiton was using the technology to track mineral analysis done by vendors. It was the interesting use of Blockchain to solve some of the problems plaguing product origin, traceability, and transparency that helped these companies have better control over their products.

    Prem, however, was looking at a much bigger view, trying to solve a broader set of problems faced by the Supply Chain and more importantly bringing the benefits over to the end users by integrating these advantages from Blockchain usage in the Supply Chain with an e-commerce platform. Thus the idea for Vanig, the worlds first integrated e-commerce and supply chain solution was born. This was March 2017 and since then we have come a long way, transitioning that idea into a full-blown solution, assembling a team of experts and advisors that are best suited to bring Vanig to reality. We are well on our way with the 3-year roadmap for Vanig, our MVP getting its finishing touches and we just launched our token sale and are in private sale phase.

    We have some important updates on the Vanig Token sale timelines. We have updated timelines for the private and public sale. The overall timeline for the token sale has not changed. Here are the changes at a glance -

    Private sale end date has been extended to 14th August 2018.

    2. Public sale start date has been changed to 15th August 2018, the end date will remain the same, 25th September 2018. Token distribution timelines for airdrop, bounty and token sale participants will not change.

    These decisions are being made based on the current state of cryptocurrency and ICO environment and to ensure success for Vanig in a way that benefits everyone from token sale participants, investors to the Vanig e-commerce platform users.

    Vanig has already raised $1.65 M in the private sale and we are confident of a successful private and public sale, paving the way for creating the Vanig platform that we dreamt of.
