As for TON, if this system is being affected like this when the owner of it is arrested and/or the Telegram company faces problems then it means there are certain traces of centralization in it that makes this platform a very dangerous one to use.
So much for decentralization, right? People are following one man to either buy/sell TON. You can see how Telegram's CEO is directly linked with the project. Imagine if something bad (God forbid) happens to Vitalik Buterin? ETH will drop in price like crazy.
People are blindly following project leaders as if they were some sort of a CEO of a company. This will make crypto look no different than stocks. New projects reveal the IDs of their developers/founders just to help attract investors (mainly VCs) into them. Projects made by anonymous developers are often overlooked and labeled a "scam". That's the way this works now. I sure hope the TON project distances itself from its founder for its own good. A community takeover will make it look more decentralized. The future for TON is unpredictable, so I'd avoid putting all of my money into it just to be safe.
