Hi guys, so I am thinking of buying a flight ticket for my gf to come see me.

She lives really close, I can drive there, but I am just curious about cheapair.com because they offer payment using bitcoin.

Has anyone out there ever used cheapair.com and paid with Bitcoins?

If so, please share your experience.

Thanks!

Hmm, I do not know for sure how cheapair trusted or not. Because I also recently heard that, but if viewed from any display and also the professionalism of the website. Most likely they could be trusted, and I just look through google search there also looks to me like they are the company. So the possibility of opening the case indeed cheapair

I was also interested to buy airline tickets with Bitcoins but I couldn't find any web site or merchant Investing such services so this is interesting information. But I think  you can buy airline ticket using Bitcoin debit card on any regular web site offering tickets and that shouldn't be a problem.
You can start a thread here  in the service section regarding that and if anyone is willing to purchase the ticket for you then it is a good thing as there are many people willing to purchase that for you if you are willing to send them the coins and that is the possibility at least for now.

Never heard of it, but it seems nice on which air flight is accepted bitcoin as payment. Hope we can have that here in my country, but it would take much more years I think before it happen.  Cheesy

So here is the blog page on cheapair.com about the acceptance of bitcoin.

However looking at all the comments below, they do seem a bit outdated.

So I wonder how well this has been going.

Here is the blog page:

I've heard someone having a problem with cheaper, but I think you can find it in the service section. Just try to use the regular service, because there is no guarantee for you and I think it will be better and reliable. Please don't try to use the thing if you're feeling that the thing is suspicious. I just want you will not get any problem in the future.

It is really nice to hear about that now we can buy Air tickets through paying bitcoins, so now we are nearing to get almost all of the online companies coming forward and started using bitcoin as payment option for their products. It is really good to see one more steps of success in Bitcoin community.

I have never used to it. But it seems to be the first one to provide air tickets accepting bitcoin and the service started long back. In recent times another giant Expedia revealed the acceptance of business for their service through an third party, but it's been removed as they haven't got customers to use bitcoin as expected.

From what I've noticed, a lot of big companies have started to adopt bitcoin payments. The best example that I could give is namecheap (a huge domain name registrar). Still, you have to check the reviews, especially if your website is new.

If they do accept directly the bitcoin then look for reviews of that website, but you spend your bitcoins to buy a flight ticked in other ways. I have seen some people offering flight, booking service for a very cheaper price in the Service section but seems like a scam. But another way is using bitcoin debit card, if you are using it directly in airport then you may pay any additional fees, but for online you can use virtual bitcoin debit card and it should work like a charm.

If I'm not mistaken I saw and read someone somewhere here in forum talked about with cheapair. And if I can remember, he did purchased some tickets on it.

Seems fairly easy, just haven't tried it myself. Am looking forward to paying my next flight using btc though!

Just try it and see for yourself and share it here buddy so that we can get a confirmation from our fellow bitcoiner.
