Thanks, we're really proud of it Smiley

As soon as the network health improves we'll be able to provide a lot of sites with Fedoracoin payment processing!

[Note: This update was first posted on G+: https://plus.google.com/114816033975093735144/posts, follow us there to stay up to date]

Time for a sneak peek! Now that we're done with the REST API flow, we're working on the next one: the simple client-sided flow (http://dashboard.withfedoraco.in/docs/payment_flows/simple_client).

These screenshots show what happens when a user gets redirected to our dialog to make a payment, much like how +PayPal does it.

This is what a user sees when he/she opens the pay link

Once the payment has been sent, we show this screen immediately

When we get a confirmation from the network, we show the user the progress

Once the desired number of confirmations has been reached, the user can continue

We have to promote the shit out of this, the more people that see it the more people are amazed. It is a matter of exposure. Let's get this to the world.

Indeed!  We should be sure that the beta application is ready before we start pushing it.  We don't want people tuning in too early and seeing something that's not ready for primetime.

Guys, a quick teaser update from us to let you know that we're still active.

We're done with the first version of the actual payment processing.
It's still a bit rough-cut, but the proof of concept very much works.

In the first screenshot below, you can see our server logs just after the server got a payment to the inbox account of user 'test'.

That payment has not yet been confirmed, but we're logging it as 'seen'.

This way we can notify users of the Javascript Client-side payment flow through the use of websockets that we've received their transaction almost immediately after they've clicked send.

In the next screenshot, you can see the logs at a later time:

First, there has been one block since we received the first transaction, but said transaction was not in that block.
The next block did contain our transaction, so we detected that the transaction was now confirmed one time.

At that point, the balance is moved from the 'inbox' of user test to the wallet of user test.
Now, the balance will show up as 'unconfirmed' on the user's dashboard.

With each following block the transaction is confirmed more and after a certain threshold (settable by the site owner) the transaction becomes 'verified' and w/ Fedoracoin issues a callback to the website that the purchase was made on.
The transaction is now complete for the user, and they get the item they paid for.

After an additional number of transactions (we're still debating the exact number, but a payment processor should be reliable and actively battle double-spending) the balance becomes confirmed and user 'test' can withdraw the balance to a Fedoracoin address.

That's it for now folks!

Don't forget to visit the site/bump our threads if you want to support us!
If you have a reddit account, we'd appreciate it if you would help with spreading the word.

Quick update for those subscribed to this thread: we're almost done with the developer dashboard and we will be accepting developers soon.
After that, we'll incrementally roll out features of the platform and their respective docs.

Btw, if you'd like to show your support of w/, you can do that by visiting the site.
We check the number of hits daily and if we see a lot of people are interested, our morale goes up and we'll work harder!

Looks great!

i never had any doubt about u guys, its more the dev im concearned about..and yes i know u said that ur supporting it...but unless an official  change over is made, i dont think the community is gona hold out for too much longer....mabey some investors- but most of the miners are just dumping their TIPS on sight. Anyways, enough moaning and lets hope something great will come of this!  Smiley

I will actively support the coin as much as possible as long as withfedoracoin exists and is also putting in time.
We can keep it alive as a community. People need to stop settling at such low prices.

Don't be so quick to disregard us Smiley

We've had some other projects sneak time away from w/ last week, but after this week we should be able to devote more and more time to making it the best payment platform yet.
