Overstock is a liquidator. They buy unwanted merchandise at a big discount and try to unload it. They're always offering "discounts" and "deals".

Yeah I just thought it was curious because I'm really not sure I bought on Overstock with Paypal at any point. I may have for one small thing because I was too lazy to pull out of cold storage, but I just don't remember doing it.
Anyway, thought it was funny. My roommate and I fed SO much btc into OSTK (like literally at least 3 between the two of us) when we moved, so I really don't need anything else from there at the moment, but hey, hope a lot of other people use it, cuz I'm a shareholder too

Well I think they are advertising for overstock then, cause with bitcoin dont have a PR department it cant do the same but at least they are showing get it now with bitcoin on overstock.
I don't shop at Overstock, but I do have a Paypal account with a balance and I got it either last night or this morning.
EDIT - I say everybody buy SOMETHING on Overstock with BTC in the same time frame. Paypal users will probably outnumber the amount of purchases from BTC users, but we could make a dent. I'll buy something with BTC.

Hey I dont see anything offering paypal users 10 percent I see more they are pushing bitcoin, please show us a screen shot of this, I dont see that on the website. I only see 10 percent off and buy it now with bitcoin option, not paypal

Overstock sends offers like that to their mailing-list members all of the time. Presumably they give you that discount for BTC purchases as well as a mailing-list member with a discount link/code (I have no clue, as I haven't tried). More than likely, they are now advertising through PayPal as well and PayPal is simply taking a cut on the sell. The link probably won't let you get the discount with BTC, but that would not be much different than not getting the discount or credit card points if you followed such a link from a credit card special offer and then bought with BTC. So, if you want something on Overstock, you want a discount, and you want to pay with BTC, sign up for their newsletter. If that doesn't work, post back here (or in a new thread) about how you rightly feel ripped off.
Overstock should sell preloaded Bitcoin paper wallets, then you could buy them for PayPal...

The problem is that I don't want to use Paypal even if they are offering a 20% discount. Definitely not worth it. Well... give me a 50% discount, I'll consider using Paypal.

I'm guessing its because I shop at Overstock and am a BTC user, though I'd be interested to know if anyone who is a BTC user that doesn't shop at Overstock got this e-mail... lol
