What are your opinions on paypal or bitcoin for online shopping?

I prefer to bitcoin, it's easy to do a transaction, you don't need to verify and your account will not frozen just because you use different IP Roll Eyes

I too prefer, bitcoin. Paypal may be presently the largest online payment solution provider but at the same time it's the one of biggest enemy to many online business people. Freezing account funds are very much famous with paypal for any reason, higher number of transactions also one of them.
I believe with bitcoin to overcome these hurdles.

Paypal must be a scammer by locking many PTC site owners account for silly reasons just like you have mentioned. I have suffered a lot being a PTC/GPT regular user. Bitcoin must be savior for PTC industry. Unfortunately this industry has not completely adopt bitcoin yet. May be the fluctuating price a reason.

Very soon we can expect bitcoin will play major role in everywhere so in PTC industry too. In my view some PTC sites used paypal as one of the reason to scam people. The non-reversible option of bitcoin would be more advantage for PTC owners. So, we can expect a higher boom of acceptance of bitcoin in this industry also.

I use Bitcoin as a payment method wherever I can and if not I'll use PayPal.

For the years that I've used paypal, i've never had any issues with it so far.

If I will answered that question now, I preferred to use both. Bitcoin can't matched what Paypal is it today.

If Bitcoin will surpass all the developments of what is Paypal today then definitely I will go in Bitcoin.

The obvious answer would be that Paypal gives you more options when shopping online as it is globally accepted, bitcoin whilst it has tiny fees and can potentially be accepted everywhere but that time is not quite here yet perhaps in another 5 years or so it will be different but for now Paypal gives you more scope in the real world, not saying that it is better than bitcoin, just in this current climate Paypal is the daddy of the online payments right now.

I tend to use paypal to pay and use bitcoin to receive. In that way, I will have more protection. When paypal integrates bitcoin, I will also use paypal to pay with bitcoin.

Well, Paypal is currently on the top now.
But if more Online Shops accepting Bitcoin, I believe Bitcoin would be the number #1 Wink
Yup its in top but Paypal is a international which obey the international banking systems But Bitcoin is anonymous one In future If bitcoin arise more than Paypal transactions and price. Everybody will go with Bitcoin only for shopping or other things. We could see larger difference than country currencies in BTC So we buy a things when BTC reaches higher price

I think everybody forgets that in many instances, a trusted centralised system actually benefits the average user. We always have to weigh up the pro's and cons of these kinds of arguments and not just pick at the negatives all the time.

I prefer bitcoin. I do not trust in paypal.

But I would buy with bitcoins only from places I know or relevant people recommend... You know, being scammed is a lot easier with bitcoins.

My preferable payment method is paypal, this is due to the fact there are not many online stores that accept my bitcons.

I hope this will change fast, so we consumers can benefit from the true purpose of bitcoin.. sending/ receiving payments.

I do the same. Paypal for shopping, Bitcoin when possible.

If there list of merchants rises I will make sure I will start depositing to my bitcoin wallet, instead of my paypal wallet.

if you only plan on paying for stuff online, shopping with paypal would be the better option for you. but if you are expecting to receive and send payments then i recommend bitcoin. because paypal just keeps limiting my accounts whenever i receive money. Shocked
