If you shiped i don think they can charge back , paypal are still good for non digital item but for digital bitcoin kills

I sold 2 bitcoin miners in the past week and today I received a call from them asking to verify that I did sell them on eBay, who the shipment company was, and if i had a tracking number.

Between chargebacks and paypal, I don't know which worries me more.

User705 thanks for sharing the info with us. Long time ago I have left using PayPal as its no more good. Today you have assured me that I took right decision of leaving the PayPal and adopting the new digital currency bitcoin. I hope federal regulations won’t mess up with bitcoins in a way it did with PayPal.

i hate paypal with a vengance ,ive had my money held hostage and had to go through hours
of phone calls and eventually i called my bank and credit card  who were only too happy to reverse
the charges and give back the money paypal stole and they said they would block paypal from my accounts

I was happy with that  solution  and me and paypal will not be friends again unless i have to deal with some merchant
who only accepts paypal but first i will ask him if equivalent amount in  btc would be ok

Paypal and BTC each have their own advantages. While the fee is lower for BTC, the security is much better with PP. Even extremely experienced users are having their Bitcoins stolen by hackers on a daily basis. Also, the volatility is another issue with the BTC.

I made a complete withdrawal and stopped using paypal after they freezed wikileaks account.

Yup, when I heard how many people got scammed through paypal I stopped using it. The only downside of crypto is volatility but this is not a payment method problem but currency itself.

Never been fond of PayPal since the early days of using eBay. Too many chargeback to deal with, account limitations and closures.

Crypto is the best thing available - we just need ore take up!

I used to be a big fan of Paypal and ebay, but I've lost a lot of respect and faith in both of them recently. Sure, they're quick and easy to use, but it's also quick and easy for scammers to get their money back. Basically if you ever order anything off ebay, all you need to do is claim you never receved it and you'll get your cash back.

paypal is just awful, they were always investigating my purchase even though I never did anything shady, just normal purchases. It got so bad I finally closed my paypal account and now they won't even allow me to use their processing service with the card that I used to have on my account. What I mean is if someone is using paypal to process credit cards on their website for example, it won't work for me with my credit card. Paypal sees that it is my card and won't allow me to use it. 

i think they do  the processing themselves ,ive only registered my card once with amazon.com
and still years later i can buy stuff with 1 click -its super easy

Hopefully they will in the future. Does Amazon accept PP?

Someone should make a service which looks like paypal, but uses bitoicoins to actually transfer the money: customer pays with credit card, service silently buys bitcoins, sends them to the recipient country and possible exchanges them back to local fiat.

But wait.. isn't ripple just that?

Yeah. I've yet to see some big ass online markets(?) start accepting BTC.

But that's another topic, that makes one Bitcoin worth a million dollars.

I didn't succeed in making my relatives start using Bitcoin, they are still using PayPal.

Paypal certainly has it's advantages and I've used them a lot of the years and still use them on ocassion.

But I agree as bitcoin becomes more adopted and easier for  people to use, it should be able to give something like paypal a real "run for their money".

Of course if bitcoin gets really big there is always the good chance tht companies like paypal will end up using bitcoin themselves and even if the fee's a bit higher than using it yourself, most people will flock to paypal due to their brand name, level of trust, and security.  I don't think it's that unreasonable that current payment procesors will end up adopting bitcoin in the future.  I don't think it's a case of one or the other, but a case of everything working together side by side.

i loosed with paypal more money then ever with bitcoin..

but with paypal, i loosed 3000€ maybe more...

i buyed someting, it was a virtual artikel, no money back. loosed 100€
i buyed something, made dispute, scammer send them a fake shipping number,
i never got anything, paypal just close case and never answer... loosed 450€.

but most i loosed with my service and chargeback scamm via credit card (thats why i dont accept credit card payments anymore)

with my server, ppl can buy unlock codes for phones, or briteforce nokia sl3 phones or buy my unlock tools...
and with it, i loosed the most of all and there is nothing you can do against creditcard chargebacks.


this can not happend with bitcoin at all.


not to mentoin, if you get some more money from someone, you get a froozen account and cant access
your money, and that till to one year!
that happend also directly after i had my firt payments via paypal.


i using it very mutch, cause i need to do it this way, cause customer mostly whant paypal payment,
but if i cold choose, i would accept bitcoin and not paypal.


i dont know how mutch i called someone at paypal, but you have no chance if credit card chargeback
scamm is used...
i already told them, if its so easy for scammer, then i know my new job!
i go and will be a creditscard chargeback scammer... easy money, no risk cause paypal is on side of the scammer... otherwise paypal need to pay the money, but this for shure they dont like, so they take
it from victims account!
