When difficulty goes up you make less btc its a no brainer. If it bothers you add more hashpower to keep up.

What he is expecting and thinking is that PBMining will offer a double hashrate thing, so that his earnings go up.
He obviously didn't do his work before investing in bitcoin.

lol and maybe he will also buy him dinner.

Actually, this past payout was the very best I've seen in a while.  That is in the sense that the decrease from the previous week was the smallest we've had in quite a while.  That ought to put things in perspective.  We hope to see that happen more often, because eventually the payout will go down to the level of bitcoin dust.

What you say is true, but there is a logical reason for it.

Difficulty changes every 2016 blocks.  In a perfect world, a block is discovered every 10 minutes, so difficulty changes every 14 days.  If difficulty is rising at 10%, then a block is discovered roughly every 9 minutes.  2016 * 9 minutes = 18,144 minutes or 302 hours or difficulty increases 12.6 days.

A payout and difficulty change both happened right around August 31.  The next difficulty change happened a few hours before the September 14th difficulty change.  This would result in a very small decrease between the Sep 7 and Sep 14 payouts.  You can expect the next payout to be about 8.5% less.

To put things in perspective, 18 months ago we measured our mining capacity in megahashes.  About 10 months ago, gigahashes became the standard.  Now you need to have some terahashes to get any serious income.  Your payments will only turn to dust if you don't increase your mining capacity.

Is PBMining actually going to invest in any new mining gear?  My payments are going down and down, so the only way to get them up would to be for some more Thz to come on line.  If not, what are you doing with all the new members money? Huh

It's quite straightforward. You want more payout, then buy more Ghs. Reinvesting part of the earnings is smart as long as you keep ROI in view. I'm now waiting for ROI and then adding another batch of Gh/s.

It doesn't matter how much power pbmining has. It is what you have bought that counts
If you want larger weekly payouts then buy some more GHs from pbmining

Got the payment, thanks! The payment is reducing because of the increase in difficulty. I wonder what we will get after 1 month? Huh Shocked Roll Eyes

Well, I'm certainly interested in Notification, for price changes and for hashrate changes, VJain. I know, if I buy hashrate, the total amount changes so stupid me should know that and not rely on an app to tell me what I just did. But... if I receive referral hashrate then I know it when I log in to my account, so I'd like to be notified also if my hashrate goes up (did it ever go down for someone?!). Do you think it's possible to show such added hashrate? Something to consider, sometimes hashrate changes multiple times per day

I think I donated, but if I see what you got in total then I'm thinking about doing it again to be certain I did Smiley
Oh. you can make it a bit easier, I think, by putting a BTC address in your signature

Need feedback for the App.

For myself, I've set up Notifications when the price changes (cause my beta version is badass and so poorly coded and insecure  Cheesy ). The app has earned me about $5 in ad money, and $25 in donations (I'm working for a 10c/hour atm). In order to release these features, I'd likely charge for premium features

1. Notifications - get an alert when the price changes & hashrate is now available
2. Buy contracts from your phone - This would require you entering your password on your phone, since there is no API system at the present moment.

I'd likely hit it at 99c, and just altogether remove ads (from both the Free and Premium). I'd give the 3 donators free premium updates, since well, they donated.

I also am really freaking close to releasing on the iOS store as well (again/finally), just want more feedback before I go ahead.

Running some numbers.... at the current difficulty and price, a positive ROI is only possible with a 9% difficulty increase per period.

Based on the current trend of difficulty increase, I'm not sure how viable of an investment buying hash-rate is right now. Anyone else come to the same conclusion?

I ran it too, and you are right.  I would suggest holding off for now too and wait to see what the price does.  We had 0.0027 a few weeks ago and it sure looked good before it ran back up to 0.0032.

you are very honest, in glad to be with you guys, keep up the good job.
