I am happy with pbmining being somewhat anonymous and not having to pay more... Their extended online presence has proven their trust with me...  Smiley

Isn't it the case where the longer the contract the better?  A shorter contract just means less value for you.  As far as I can tell, there is zero benefit to a shorter term.

Yes, but it could be calculated like 50% of time = 50% of cost + 5% price markup for additional risk for the company - just an example

What you need to consider is that a contract half the length wouldn't be half the price. A 6 month contract would probably be 70% (Rough estimate!) of a 5 year contract as the difficulty increase is a compounding effect.

If you want shorter contracts with a higher and more immediate final payout, PBM isn't for you.

If you want to be able to trade GHs, PBM isn't for you.

If you want a consistent long term investment, with weekly payouts, no fees but great support, then PBM is for you.

Also, a note of the lack of address and name linked with PBM, i take great comfort in the fact they have no idea who i am, and i certain the feeling is mutual!

INdeed, the anonymity at all is a plus, but i still hold my position that eventually customers would pay a markup just to be on the safe side. That this costs additional funds is obligatory. I thought about a slider that proportionally calculates the price depending on the contract timeframe.

Just realized more GH/s in stock and a new low price.  I like it!!! Did the difficulty just go up?

Indeed it did, this morning:

Feb 28 2014   3,815,723,799   21.92%   27,314,015 GH/s

Yes your bitcoins are only "locked" for a week at a time.  Payouts are every Sunday.

Thats correct, but still the overall investment is about a timeframe of 5 years. As we recently have seen, 5 years is a long time in bitcoin world.

Yes, but do the math, in how much time u will get ur investment back. So after that its all profit.

Yes, but thats speculation.
I have also some gh at pbmining but id feel much better if there was an option to define a contract to cap my risk while still taking advantage.

Of course its just a suggestion to attract more customers and make the thing more legit. There could be a simple rebate system for longer contracts, which would make it still profitable and attractive for both parties. I think quite a few users would prefer that. I also understand that there is a risk for the company to purchase too much hardware if the contracts are too short. However, i think there could be some middle way that is interesting for both parties - buyer and seller.

For the safety of myself and my family.  You would be surprised at how many extortionists want to get their hands on some easy Bitcoins.  Thank you.

The thing is, if i invest with you my coins are locked 5 years. I currently have 2 BTC on betsofbitco.in which is a very bad feeling as teh owners simply stopped responding and people report widthdrawal problems.

I would feel much more safe if there was an option to adjust the contract timeframe. 6 months is something very different than 5 years.

You will have your bitcoins every week and in three months you will have all the invested bitcoins back. Then for the rest of the time you will have every week other bitcoins as a pure profit.

you can implement a check box, so everyone can decide (switch on the fly) between summed mode or listed mode for the contracts?!?

would also be great, if I can enter a GH/s amount to order for instead of only a scroll bar wgich makes me sometimes insane Smiley

On the order page a list of pending invoces and open contracts would be nice

would be nice if order page showed how many shares were/are available at any given time.

Yes the consolidated payments would be the best bet. I have 63gh total but I had bought a couple smaller (1 and 2 gh) contracts when I had free BTC to bump up my total. I'd love for this to come in one lump sum.

In terms of verifying every contract paid out appropriately, I'm not worried about this, as I can handle the basic arithmetic of adding the numbers on my profile :-D
