#SWGT PRE-SALE IS LIVE
Decentraland has potential but their platform focus on gaming which clearly have some tough competition. There are lots of new project that can more be superior than this one. Id you knew enjin coin its one of its rival plus a new hit ico called gamexcoin will probably make them worried once their platform goes live.

This is not a new platform, so who has not seen it yet, do not be surprised. I myself personally have several plots of land in this platform that I bought for real money. Very exciting project
I still do not understand how the earth can be virtual and why it is needed at all. It is vseravno what to buy a piece of land on some planet in the distant constellation, on which humanity can not get even a few million years. Why then all this?

In the sale of digital land there is a lot of competition, and sell their different projects. Don't understand what land will then be considered real? Offer to sell land on the moon or Mars.

The same argument could be said about search engines. There are lots of search engines like Yahoo, Bing, DuckDuckGo but it isn't a coincidence majority use google. The network effect has a lot to do with this.

I made a video about a virtual reality platform called Decentraland.

What makes Decentraland special is the fact that virtual land here is worth thousands of real dollars since it cannot be confiscated. This is because their database is stored in a distributed ledger with no central authority AKA the Ethereum blockchain.

Trust me guys, this one is different. Or better yet don't trust me, verify it yourself.  They have a real working product and its amazing! I made the video thinking about gamers and VR/AR fans. I did my best to make it look professional. Enjoy the video

What is stopping someone from just doing the exact same thing and copying them? That way someone else can have the same virtual land, I already see there are other virtual land coins such as arcona.

The same logic could be applied to Bitcoin. Because what is stopping someone from just doing the exact same thing and copying Bitcoin, right? Well, the network effect surely helps. Sure, people can create other virtual worlds in the future but Decentraland will own majority of of gamers' interest due to first mover advantage and as a consequence, user trust.

Only the code can be stolen, not the platform nor the users or the ownership of properties. If someone wants to copy they will need to almost start from scratch. If they copy the world exactly the same and issue a new token, why would anyone wanna be in an imitation platform? They'd rather go to the original so its pointless to do that too

Wouldn't it allow someone to issue the same land just on a different platform? Someone developing VR or AR for that area could pick up the land somewhere else and then the owner on another platform wouldn't really have exclusivity.

Can you rephrase that? I'm not exactly sure what you mean by issue the same land on a different platform.

Well the whole point is that if someone buys that land they can develop VR/AR for it and it's unique to them, so they could be the only ones to offer that experience in times square for example, but what's stopping someone buying the same land on a different platform and offering that, assuming another platform copied them?

I already explained that. Anyone is free to copy whatever they want this is open source however, no one wants to be in an imitation platform. Even if someone would copy their platform and create their own platform it wouldn't work because people wouldn't be interested in a second virtual world that is exactly the same as the first one.

It’s hard for me to imagine how virtual land can cost a lot of money. But I am not a gamer, and games and casinos do not attract me. But I imagine how to earn a casino. If people agree to buy virtual land, then why not sell it. Buy the same land on the moon. Demand creates supply.

Personally I knew nothing about this platform untill I have seen this post on the Bitcointalk forum. So of course the virtual reality is widely represented in the cryptocurrency and Blockchain technologies world, but the amount does not mean the quality. I liked the video promotion and the graphic. At least the first impression is good. But I need learn about it more))) interesting.

Virtual Reality (AR) and Augmented Reality (AR) are among the latest innovations in the world of technology so I think it's not strange if there are many people who spend thousands dollars to investing in virtual land. So far I've never seen a successful ICO that using concept AR & VR but this seems different

This is a very interesting project. I like this whole idea of a decentralized virtual world, it's interesting and I think there will be a lot of things in the future.

I wish I could say the same but I am scared of this as much as I am excited.

In our modern society, technology develops pretty quickly, and people often get tired of real life and sometimes simply do not want to live, but thanks to technology they have the opportunity to acquire virtual earth and do what they want on it and this is quite an interesting idea.

Yes you are right. Reality doesn't really make sense anyway. Science doesn't have the answer and religion dangerously think they do.

Decentraland is a very intriguing platform, specially for next generation of gamers. But still i do not see a real benefit of this other than in the gaming eco-system.

Attention is the greatest asset of mankind today. The internet owns majority of it now if many people will hang out in this virtual world you can advertise there or monetize your virtual real estate through ads. Let's say you the museum National Geographic would probably pay a lot of a placement of their logo inside.

First time I read and saw a video about it, kinda interesting have checked it on coinmarketcap and they have a huge market behind it https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/decentraland/#markets this has a good potential to be huge in the future, just missed this one in their ICO stage.

It's not too late to invest though. Especially Land. They have a marketplace available on their website.

Purchase real estate and cars at discounted prices
While actual land can be confiscated, people can really live there and decentralized virtual land looks more like something for gaming experience. Kind of like decentralized Minecraft or something. Is it made for games? Or do you think the world will soon become like in "Ready player one" and people will actually pretty much live there?
Author of the video, please try to speak faster next time, it's too slow and monotonous.

MY RED TRUST LEFT BY SCUMBAGS - READ MY SIG
Like the idea for gaming and VR for sure... but this is one sector i think will have huge competition so have to wait and see which get the network effect

Of course with a great implementation of VR and huge team of devs then this will be massive.
