I have never used Paypal in my entire life and with bitcoins I don't think that there is any point in using Paypal as it involves very lengthy procedure to create an account which is very irritating.
I used my paypal fund to buy bitcoins before. I just look for a legit trader and then transferred my paypal funds to her and then she gave me the corresponding amount of btc. Though it is really sad that they will ask you for a higher fee compared to a legit traders.
It is not hard to make a paypal account. It just need some information just like creating account for email address and facebook.

The actual haters of bitcoin are the banks and the Governments as they find bitcoin as a threat to their financial system and I don't think normal individual would hate bitcoins.
