Gee... I wonder why it looks like a normal server.   And it get's better use a search to see if picture is online it is.... there are other miners who have Photoshopped this pic before they did not even us a original pic to Photoshop: https://www.tineye.com/search/270a16124c7905d1919b7c75e3301647a11a499c/ .  Appears they edited a smart miner picture.  So scam using another scams picture.

well, i made sure that their website was shut down , they used a fraudulent sales tax id number  contacted the domain provider who in turn shut them down, phones are no longer active.

at least they will not be scamming anyone else  for a bit until they resurface as some other company.

what amazes me is that all of these so call free lance reporters that published this garbage did not take the time to due their due diligence on this company, and risk their reputation !

Looking at website I'm not sure that it is shutdown.  They have a message saying "This site has exceeded the allotted bandwidth.".  So someone could have been mad... and attacked and used up bandwidth.  Normally if taken down they would say taken down to to TOS I think.

So you might see this pop up again once they are on next period of bandwidth.   But hopefully no one buys... they should read forums before purchases.

I'm not going to lie, I fell for this scam.  Whatever info you want to confirm this is in fact a scam I'll provide it. but yes I put a cone on my head and throw me in the corner.

How does anyone expect the world to adopt cryptocurrency and a secure form of transaction when people like this exist in the world.  If the idea is to decentralize banking, with crooks like these it's not going to happen.  I REALIZE I AM THE IDIOT, I should have paid more attention.  But I also believe the press/publication that allows these people to post/submit these press release's should do some kind of research into these people before publishing they're story.  I'm not gripping, I'm not complaining, I realize I Got Gotted.  It's a lesson learned but, luckily it's not a Nigerian prince with my social security number.

Very sorry to hear you sent money to these people, I was disappointed to read this has shaken your faith in crypto-currencies and encourage you to push forward. NO economy, currency, or person is immune to con-artists as the weakest link in these transactions is always human beings. I have spent the last few months doing my research into BitCoin and CC's in general and my faith in the system is stronger than ever largely due to the community I see, people who will tirelessly and with great enjoyment RUN THESE SCAMMERS INTO THE GROUND. Sadly not every potential victim can be warned, and I sincerely hope your loss was a minor one.

Best of luck in your future endeavours.

Oof I feel for you.

Sometimes doing your research here can help before falling for a scam.  Other times it's not so simple.  As @Searing mentions I hope it was only for a single unit.

hopefully only the 3k right? you lost on one unit? (btc or scrypt) anyway ...hopefully you did not get more then one.

don't sweat it I'm the reason that litecointalk.org is not 'poof' for hopefully a 'bit' Sad

www.litecointalk.org

that is now down....bought a supposed titan cube (110 ltc) from one of the 4 administrators on the site (the 4 top levels only of account super powers) and was told by another admin that Carnth Admin account was hacked...bye bye LTC ...so it is getting damn hard to buy stuff it seems (have many deals go great) but still really you have 4 top administrator accounts and you can't tell one is hacked for at least 2 weeks if not more?

so..now the

www.litecointalk.org is still 'kaput' and it has been down for 3 or more days so that means one of 2 possibles imho Sad

1) They are trying to fix the site due to this 'god level' administrator account (one of four) was hacked and digging deep on such.

or

2) the hacker ..when found out .....with the super powers of that account 'flushed the site' (see point 1 above) yeah ..they are rebuilding the works from backups

one or the other

well hell live and learn bound to happen to me someday. But I mean 'really' that is like buying something from the equiv account on bitcointalk here of Theymos and finding out the account was hacked...(welcome to my world)

anyway I feel your pain.....so it goes....gonna really really have to watch this better from now on it seems if such 'shenanigans' are now the norm

Then the question becomes: Did PH miners actually buy rights to use the image or just copy it off the Getty site?
Betcha Getty would like to be aware of it's possible/probable unauthorized usage by them...

they would of had to of bought it, since its watermarked, if not, they scabbed it off another company that used it..

or as notlist3d said:

It is a scam company no doubt they copied it. There were some selling getty accounts in digital, but luckily they got rid of hacked/cracked in digital (for most part).  But no way they paid proper.

And nice job searching it out.

My scam website's "meet the upper management" stock photo would probably be a half-dozen snappily-dressed mooners slappin' their cheeks with wads of cash.

Might be useful later on in courts.

BTW, where are the pictures of the board.  The case renderings are fine, where is the chip and the board?

This image is a fake.

Try google image find. If my memory is good, a very well know media is selling it.

Tinyeye is normally pretty good on this.  It did not find it out there - https://www.tineye.com/search/e06a5c492551b7f95ff9a3db1e920b52b995dfcd/

Not saying it is real, they could have done something to mask it.  But not easy to find this pic out there.  But still fake product.
