This issue of coin mining has become the order of the day. I have an old Android phone which I want to use to test mining any of the coins which is easily mined by phone. Any help for me. I have a laptop though but I heard it could break the system that is why I don't want to try mining on my laptop.
THANKS FOR READING.

i think you don't have to use your old android phone because it will hot so fast and i think it will blow your android in the end. if you still want to mining, i think you can buy mining hardware rather than using your android phone or your laptop because the result is not good for you and you only risk your phone and your laptop. but if you really curious with mining, then i suggest you download one software like minergate software so you can directly used in your laptop and not in your android phone.

No, forget about that. You need a lot more power to mine and a phone cannot provide that kind of power, specially an older android phone and even if you, by some miracle, earn something with phone mining, I doubt that it will be anything more valuable than a few satoshis.

For test purposes, it may be possible to use an iPhone or any other smartphone for crypto-coin mining. But there are quite a few risk factors, such as:

1. The phone can get damaged, as a result of over-heating.
2. Some of the shady altcoins have trojans embedded in them.
3. It is difficult to take backups of altcoins in smartphones.

Unless you want to explode your mobile phone , that is a sure way, mining with your mobile phone and expect something meaningful is like imagine you were in the amazon river and you decided to built a damn ,the biggest dam ever built ,over it, however you would not use any machinery whatsoever only a shovel and you were alone and you would have to finish it within 12 mouths.
I hope you would understand what i mean.

You are right but I just want to blow up the phone. It isn't in use any longer.  Wink

So just go to the play store, download and install a mining app, point it to a mining pool (eg: LTC mining pool).

That's it. You may even record and upload a video to youtube to let others see the process how your phone gets damaged. Smiley

I found a LTC block with my iPhone several years ago.  I would think it would be nearly impossible to contribute anything meaningful with a phone nowadays.  People looking for a cheap lottery style of mining should take a look at the Bitmain R1 & R1-LTC routers.  I'm not sure if a custom firmware is available for the LTC version yet, but the BTC version can be used to mine wherever you'd like.  Plus they're cheap and we all most likely have a use for a router.  Not a bad pickup.

You are going to ruin your phone. Please do not use a miner on your phone unless you want it to become junk. Phones were not designed to run at high percentage of your processor speed for hours on end.

If your phone gets hot enough the battery could crack and leak or worse explode. Wanna see something scary, search up phone exploding.

Yeah as others have said theoretically possible but you will be lucky to get 0.0000001$ a day, not worth the time or effort.

Mining on phone i believe isn't a good option today. One is because you will destroy your phone because in the mining proccess your phone will be very hot and you will lost your battery.
Second is the revenue. The Bitcoins generated by this proccess i believe will not pay the costs of your phone and battery.

Minergate has a option to mine on phone .

http://www.minergate.com

But if you have real interest on mine try hardwares for this .

Not even every PC can earn enough Satoshi to cover electricity costs, but this is not real. All earnings will be less than the cost of the phone Internet is very fast and will fail the battery. In this area there are no decent options even at the ever-increasing price of bitcoin.

I have an old Android phone which I want to use to test mining any of the coins which is easily mined by phone. Any help for me.
Go to the following website (link to the android app is in the bottom area): https://minergate.com/
Direct link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.minergate.miner

I have a laptop though but I heard it could break the system that is why I don't want to try mining on my laptop.
Take note: You should expect a damage to the phone a lot sooner than a laptop. From my personal experience in the past, it took my phone 5 minutes of mining to get hot (really hot), even on the slightest intensity (you can choose the intensity from the app itself).
My advice is to forget it.
