The minimum photo resolution is 2400 x 1600 pixels (4MP), you can check all the requirements on the upload page, and in the section File Specifications here: https://photobtc.com/home/sell#specifications

Some suggestions:

1) Would it not be better to set the price of each item in say US$ when uploading it and then have that price displayed and updated in btc?

When I upload a photo I decide on a price, let's say $2.00. At today's rate that might be 0.01 btc.

Over the next week the price of bitcoin goes up with say 30% making the selling price of my photo now $2.60 which might be to expensive in my opinion. This results in me having to readjust all my prices. However, if the selling price was based off a fixed 'fiat' value no such adjustment will be required.

2) Display the selling price of each item in both bitcoin and fiat (US$)

I know this is a bitcoin driven site but in reality we all price items in fiat and so will the buyers who visit this site. Its far easier to determine the value of an item in say US$ than it is in bitcoin. Also saves me the hassle of pulling a calculator out each time so that I can work out what the actual dollar value of an item is.

We would all love to live in a bitcoin dominated world but reality is that we price items in fiat.

Both are valid ideas and i think we can develop that soon.
I though about, you choose whether to input the price in USD or BTC, and the user will always see both USD and the corresponding BTC.
We're thinking about a shapeshift integration as well so users will be able to pay with altcoins.

This is good idea I think, especially with seller who want to sell their photo, I feel like that too, when I set price example: 0.0035(around $10) then the rate down, 0.0035 is around $7.
But my advice is use $ for display price only, but buyer of course pay with bitcoin.

Nice site, although the photo is still a few. How about a transaction, funds,  escrow,?

Thanks, we just published so it will take some time to have a good amount of content.
The payments are handled via useCryptos invoice api, and are credited in your usecryptos wallet.

In future we'll be able to integrate into other online wallets like coinbase or blockchain.info so you can put your own wallet...

We're still working on some nice functionalities to match the big websites like shutterstock or istockphotos.
