Such an interesting thread about Russian cultures

Thank You.

chiming in here,
thanks man, this thread shows all the beautiful facets of your country and is a welcome diversion from the one-dimensional view propagated everyday in the western gutter press.

Many russian artists have inspired me over the past years, esp. authors like Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Gogol, Strugatsky Brothers and i absolutely love the movies by Andrei Tarkovsky.

so far i haven't seen any works by russian painters in here
time to add some pieces of russian realism, enjoy...

Alexei Sawrassow (1830 - 1897)

Isaac Levitan (1860–1900)

Ivan Shishkin (1831–1898)

Yes.

People from around the world are generally nice. Things like governments and organized religion train them to be hateful. I have read that during the times of Stalin and following, until the freedom that came in 1991, the Russian people were looking for support from the American people. But government propaganda on both sides turns the people against each other.

Tajik plov.
1 part "ZIRVAK": sheep fat -Onions - meat - carrots - ceci - horse wurst - water (boiled) - 20 - minutes - garlic - red chili peper - zeera- salt
2 part - add parboiled rice, boil, make holes, minimum flames, add zeera, chili pepper, close and wait more 30-40 minutes.
But water need to add boiled, not cold.
