Are not snow plug trains just more effective? Bowlers seems good only for light snow or iced switches...

Is this a M62 locomotive? Was it just trapped in snow or she was working a snow removal train? Just guessing if it was the former than the latter....

I have really enjoyed this thread. I finished going thru all 145 pages. Sorry 247crypto hasn't been around enjoyed his materials. Thanks to everyone else for contributing to this thread, including HD who has kinda championed it of late. This thread has gone down some interesting rabbit holes, but I've enjoyed it. I'm not one of those Americans who are ignorant to the world, nor do I think all things are rosy in Russia. Still the thread has explored a nice snippet of that part of the world.

@Balthazar where was that taken?
Somewhere in center of Moscow. Tested my Nokia Lumia 1520 during the lunchtime.

Cool. Weather is very similar to here.

I can add something to this thread.
I bought an old '70s Chaika II camera from a dealer in Russia last year, and it arrived with an unmarked roll of film completely jammed in it.  I clipped off a corner, confirmed it was black and white film, and developed it.

My best guess is that these are med school graduates from the late 70s or early 80s.
The images weren't very clear (exposed 30+ years ago?), but I was able to clean them up a bit...

Anyone know when/where these might have been taken?

Cool photos dude! I recommend you to submit these to some Russia/USSR/Photography/History subreddit. Someone could appreciate these there and also provide answer for you.

I'm not sure whether you will read this (as you've posted these photos weeks ago), but you should share them through social media. I'm not sure how active the people over there use social media, but sharing such things of social media has shown to be effective here in the Netherlands. For example lost cameras (with holiday photos) were returned to the owners, and even orphans have made succesfull use of social media (as Facebook) to find more information about their parents.
