Not a good timing to plant a tree in the northern é emisphere..
Cool, this is a very good initiative. I'm going to plant a lot of trees hopefully, and try to enlighten friends at school. 
Also, I have a nursery near my house and they sell plants, small ones, can I buy them and plant them at my house? My parents will buy as many as I want

I went to the south of bloomingdale to plant 50 trees.
I'm already planting couple of plants and trees myself.

How about this:
1-3 trees = 0.001
3-10 trees = 0.003
10-50 trees = 0.005
50+ trees = 0.01

Why? because of the pic restriction? or the difficulty in planting a tree?
I am thinking of an alternative... Do you have any?

How to participate:
1. Plant a tree. (or more)
2. Take a photograph of you holding the baby tree (face not required, only your hands.). It must contain "your username" here, written somewhere (in a paper, etc.) in the pic.
3. Post the pic here. Along with details and bitcoin address.
4. You will get an amount send to your address anything between 0.001BTC to 0.005BTC.
You may also receive Bitcoins from visitors and donators directly.
So jump in to the campaign. Plant a tree, post the pic and spread the word.

1. Trees are preferable over plants. So make sure you plant a tree.
2. Please mention species (just the common name is enough), age of the tree and your bitcoin addy.
3. Pics should be genuine and not edited.
4. More preferably if you plant a tree for this campaign.
3. Special bonuses for pics of various stages of growth. You can post the pic of the same tree after a few months and you will get a bonus.
4. You can make it popular. Spread the news. Just mention in here and there. If you are not wearing any signature/personal message put this one on.

Make sure you plant trees that are natural to the area, you can cause damage to soil, flora and fauna with the wrong choice.
Plant whatever flourishes in your area.
Birch for the north is good, given it is fast. Planting Birch and then an oak tree underneath is cool. They grow together but the Birch dominates due to being a fast grower. However, the Birch enourages the Oak to seek light so the Oak gets taller than it would. In like 50 years, the Birch dies of natural causes, and we are left with an Oak tree.
