I don't know the credibility of their claims, but i have come across quite a number of games online, where you are asked to play to earn btc, lol.

Have you come across any games like that?
If so, did you really earn any btc?

There are certain casino outside there which let's user earn Bitcoin or some other altcoins just by playing games available on their platform. But the rewards are very low even if you play for long hours and there are certain regulations like KYC to withdraw your funds, limitations to specific amount that can be withdrawn. But the most important is why they are paying you btc or some other coins just for playing games?
The reason is if they are legit casinos or any service provider paying you in btc they are earning from you.Thats right.

1) Revenue from ads: Whenever you play games there are certain ads popping on your screen in between and whenever you click on them the casinos get paid from them and you cannot play games with adblocker on your browser. Each time you click on the add they are earning and paying you fraction out of it.

2) When they want to promote themselves they distribute free coins which in turn came back in the form of deposit by the new members which join the casino

So you can say that there is nothing free in this world. You pay for it to get it.

There are many blockchain games out there especially since NFTs are a thing right now but I have not heard of any play to earn btc games. I remember back in 2017, those were a thing alongside faucets which allow you to play games but it seems like there are no faucets anymore these days. Most of them were really not worth your time. I suggest you could look into blockchain games but most of these are ETH based or rewards will be in NFT tokens. Still pretty early in the development stage but has plenty of potential for development.

Well, I try the site out to know how legitimate it is, I have come across some games which were downloaded from the play store giving users incentives for playing the game but difficult to find the one that pays in bitcoin. Only gambling games I know offer to bet and playing on casino games that pay in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Many, if not all, play to earn games that I heard of but not tried do not pay in Bitcoin. So far, I have not heard of a single play to earn crypto game which pays in Bitcoin. There are a lot though which pays in altcoins. I have heard of Axie Infinity. I also heard of one game which pays in Litecoin. If only I have a lot of available time, I wish I could try even one of them and see for myself whether it is worth my time and effort.

Playing blockchain game has more chance to earn valuable token rather bitcoin games available in the market right now.
You are right. Very few BTC based gaming websites or games are enjoyable enough to justify either the time or the work you put into them. Bitcoin is pretty much money nowadays and just like people never give away free money (or get inundated when the do), so it is difficult to hope making tangible amounts depending on Bitcoin.

Crypto in general though has more than a few opportunities, at least for the time being. There are games like Lost Relics, 9Lives etc. where you can find blockchain items while running through dungeons and sell them at a marketplace. Nothing is free though. You will most definitely need some initial investment as transaction fee etc.

Like @mk4 said already, it would likely be a waste of time if you've nothing at stake with them. Don't forget that there's no free money even in Freetown. And yes, I've come across services like that but I don't heed to them. I also have a couple of friends that have went as far as trying out such services and platforms and their responses were no good. These platforms would just use you to up their earnings via ads.

I'd skip such platforms if I were you.

Pretty hard to judge the legitimacy of a service if you don't give us anything to look at mate. Tongue Give us a link or something.

Mostly though, if they make you "play" without putting anything at stake, it most likely would be a waste of time.

Yeah. Most of the free to earn games available online are just a waste of time. You will not able to withdraw all the bitcoin you earn once you meet minimum withdrawal free and some games don't give you the possibility to earn when you are near on getting the minimum amount for withdrawal. They are just using the user data to view there ads in exchange for the traffic payment.

Playing blockchain game has more chance to earn valuable token rather bitcoin games available in the market right now.

I've never come across a game that pays BTC that's interesting and worth playing. If anyone has an example, feel free to suggest here.
Most of those that can be found at play store, pay less than average faucets and the others are just plain scam.

Bitcoin already above 60k, why on earth will some give you free Bitcoin just for playing games?

Nothing comes free and I am suprised ranking members like you are asking these question. It is a scam mate, when you will go for withdrawal they will ask you to deposit something . Stay away from scams

What's the name of the game? It will help if you can name those games that you've come crossed with. AFAIK, there were games that paid their players but in the form of token. And the games that I know, don't really pay you in bitcoin.
But you can earn bitcoin or any form of exchange there through selling in game items and other stuffs that you can farm on the game.

Its definitely in general terms and I saw that you know that but needed more specifications to analyse and its cool, not wanting to speak out of context.
But then, I doubt there is any legitimacy to such play and win claim. It could only be so on two grounds.

1. If there is a stake by you the player and
2. Should it be some sort of competition hosted by the game programmers

In these scenarios,  we can say there is some hope as to earning some bitcoin by playing otherwise, it would just be another market strategy to keep the traffic on there game or still, its another cloated cloud mining app. Instead of using the traditional method, they go tricky and to harness your device power while providing you with some entertainment.
Note: Just my suspicion.

I guess the OP is just talking in general about play to earn games.

Yes, but that's still a pretty broad question if we don't get to narrow it down to specific websites/platforms. Some will be legitimate and some will be scams. Some will be an obvious waste of time, and some might not be.

Can you drop a game so we have an idea? Previous I know some games just drop is an altcoins just like the SLP and the ENJ came from the lost relics and the axie infinity but a game dropping bitcoin? Never heard that before. Looking forward to the response of OP.

Also not only games you can earn bitcoin instead you can buy those for the exchange because today, for example, but since also supported different currencies as well.

some of them are works like faucets. visit a website, install an app, or play a games. some of them are realy paying, and the rest is fake.
but i am sure all of them are wasting time if you are aged . https://stormx.io/play providing similar services, but you can't expect significant payouts.

I've already tried a lot of games like that, some are legit but most of the time is a scam, they have a huge minimum withdrawal for about $100, the game is really easy and you can also really earn on it as easy as well but the problem about that is when you are about to reach the minimum withdrawal then that is the time that the game would be so hard for you to earn to the point that you will give up on it

Hey mate I already took participated in a gaming and casino site betfury that gives me daily staking and free bitcoin and binance coin. Sometimes it also gives Bitcoin playing betting or dice 🎲
I don't think OP is referring to gambling games though since you'll need to spend money and essentially gamble, not play games like COD MW, Fortnite, etc.

you can try and ask on this thread Lost Relics - Isang Blockchain Game
The game itself is not that new as far as I can remember, it is powered by Enjin and they give rewards in Ethereum, so not exactly BTC games. There are other games like this but most of them are on ETH. I don't even remember a game with BTC (maybe LN, but can't recall any). Most of them play with unique assets so that's probably why they run on Ethereum.

And Mind you , majority or all of those are asking about your KYC before playing  Grin

And even if they will pay in BTC but the structure is just smaller than a Peanut so why spend your time and effort when you will only Waste for almost no value Wins?

better to Play in some games that offers altcoins , and the other one that has "Axies"? i just forgot the game but i know the characters are valuable .

you can try and ask on this thread Lost Relics - Isang Blockchain Game on Pilipinas local board. the thread is very recent so I am sure the OP can answer if you have questions. you don't have to worry about asking a question in English they can understand you perfectly and will answer you in English if you ask them and I am not entirely sure but I am confident that you can post there to ask a question without the post being deleted by a mod.

I do not play to earn bitcoin anymore as I see the reward is reduced a lot, so I think if we do not have a passion for playing that game, we will not try or play for a long time. If you are okay with the reward, and you search for the fun, you can play that game for a long time but you do not need to expect to earn some big reward as that thing is not available now. If you found a website that offers you to get a big reward, you should be careful as they will ask you to send some money before you can earn from the reward, and that is a sign of a scam.
