what is a good project and currently undervalued ?
PosToken and Trackr.
Both of them are great project, basically they're serving a good quality support and development.
they're not rush to do something but instead steadily increase it.
other than that there'll be another exchanger that will list it soon in the early 2018ish

The reason I hold them was because I wanted to make a profit from them, last year I bought Antshare and Stratis but I sold out too early because I did not have much experience nor could I evaluate a project somehow. But now I have the basis to evaluate the project that I will invest in, I believe in the future the altcoin market will grow stronger.

I hold alot of ZENcash. I think it will overtake Zcash since its technology is superior. Price right now is low, the dev team is really great and have alot of communications with the community.

I hold Neo because the coin has a good reputation and now is a very good time to buy it, when fork finished there will be a rapid rise.

I need to look into that, thanks.

Many coin discussion threads are "tainted", since you do not know if the person is interested, actually well informed, simply discovering a new project, or shilling/promoting. So let's try the other way, everyone knows from the start that you 'believe' in the future of the investment.*
*Of course, people "simply discovering a new project" are free to ask questions.

Why Do You Hold _____ Coin/Token?

Disclaimer: I do not currently trade, but I am interested in the future of many projects.

i think i only hold coins and not hold the token because i think its different. token is waiting for the market to get listed but the coins is already in the market. sometime when the token is release in the market, the price is insane and if we follow the price, we can get in the high price and if we sell it, then we can only get loss. but the coins, if we are buy in low price, we can waiting for another increase price so we can sell it to make profit.

Why would anybody hold any coin for that matter if not for possibility of  profit. Many hodler however hold their coin for ideological reasons. The reason bicoin is where it is today is because of the latter !

The original OP is still valid, please discuss either topic

Can you please attempt to explain why people gave EOS over $4B?

Let's save the effort of people who give the predictable "he is just trying to buy ____ at a lower price by scaring people into selling!"
Oops too late:

~21 elite "block providers" get to share transaction fees

There is no attempt here to bash EOS, beyond honest shock that this community forgot about the word decentralize.

The original OP

Why Do You Hold  "__name of___" Coin/Token?

Edited the OP a bit to be more clear.

Quote
With a quick summary = Please, discuss why you think a token/coin/project will succeed long-term.

The unique quality of this thread is to exclude/diminish shills by understanding most opinions are probably made by people who already invested time or money into something & why?
