I don't understand why people are replying the thread in serious, while the article that shared by @OP was created in the last year (Feb 04, 2023 14:51:42) and all posts created by @OP is always promoting this coinCRAP shitty exchange.

Perhaps, this shitty exchange is actually a scam exchange considering there are not many reviews and didn't get listed in CMC or Coingecko.

I haven't idea about the mentioned exchange by OP, if you are totally a newbie of course you are afraid to try a new exchange and you will stick with the reliable and trusted by the others as their standards I don't get it why people trying to risk their asset to those skeptical exchange. Well it's their money just my thought if you want to join with those platform make sure you did not put all of your money in that exchange and next always make sure the domain is legit recently there have been a lot of fake website now like a true copy of it but if you make more check the domain has a different letters so being observant is a must if you want to join into a new platform.

Scammers really don't get tired of scamming people...
But, the good thing is that people have already gained knowledge from their previous experience and the experience of others making them now cautious in dealing with new exchanges. And we are very thankful that this forum helps to spread scam awareness and saves beginners from not falling into their trap.

This is to teach us that research is necessary in order not to be fooled by huge profit promises because this is a genuine scamming strategy and we are old enough to become a victim.

@OP. just like most people been saying up on here on which this is my first time on hearing out that exchange name and i dont know
on why you do really end up with that place, not unless if this one would really be that a local exchange or what but its good that you had made out to
make yourself that notice something is going on.

I know some people don't like to use the popular exchanges but also you need to be careful. There are a bunch of them out there and mostly using the same tricks. It's a good thing you have brought it to us here but everyone needs to be careful as well. Always verify things before using or venturing into them.
People would really be that likely be that having that kind of behavior on which they are really that lazy when it comes on making some indepth
research about on the sites that they are dealing with, and this is why they do really end up on dealing on things on which arent that popular or known
and they would really be making out such thing on the moment that they are already facing up some issues. lol

First of all, Op thanks for this lead, but I haven't heard of this domain or exchange ever, most of the time I use the exchange applications from the official store package, but sometimes in need, when I access the exchanges from my browser as well, I always check the domain rather than relying on the top of the google resulting keyword.

So checking URLs is the one of ways to avoid fake portals. One more tip on that make sure to avoid the unfamiliar names in the crypto market, you can avoid most Ponzi and such scams with that too. Always go for a reliable source.

I just heard about this CoinCarp exchange is not familiar at all means it is clear this exchange is FAKE, we know that legitimate exchanges that we often hear about know - https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/

You by alerting many people it gives good advice so that they remain vigilant, because there are still many people doing random PMs by scammers under the pretext of their funds being held and asking for your help.

This is still true so stay vigilant.
It isn't spelled as CoinCarp but it was Coincarpep. Anyway, being unfamiliar doesn't mean it is now fake. I am not referring to the exchange being discussed in this thread but to others. Also, it may not only familiar to us but not for the majority. There are still other familiar platforms that are a scam. Indeed the OP is doing a good job but it doesn't mean people will now remain to be vigilant and there are even people who won't read this and learn from this but we can only/still hope for the better of them.

The fraud tactic that you said is different from our topic here and I think that is easy to detect, unless if the person has a very low IQ. But, anyhow I appreciate your efforts for bringing that here because even experienced people do commit mistake out of rush or greedy.

Hold up, coincarp is actually op's website though I've never heard of it either. It doesn't appear to be an exchange as well. More like a crypto directory website similar to coingecko and coinmarketcap.
True after looking at the OP's post history has a site almost CoinCarp although the uses are different, but is it a coincidence that the site name is almost CoinCarp? I don't know, I don't really think about it.

Did a quick look up and most of them are up for sale already. While scam advisories will always be timely, imo, op should've made an update or something. From the post alone, I thought the mentioned phishing website was recent to say the least.
As the site mentioned has all died, after I checked the new because this is a fairly old article for more than 1 year while the update on the forum was just yesterday.
Well it's better to update with new news so that people are more vigilant.

OP, thank you for introducing me to this scam site, although I am not familiar with this site. But the best sign is that we are alerted beforehand, if we alert each other with such information then no user will fall into the fraud trap.  Because everyone should stay away from the trap of fraud.

1. Always check website URLs 2 or 3 times very well.
2. Ensure you are visiting the official website and making the transaction.
3. You can bookmark the official site so that you don't have to access the website by typing the URL in the future. Bookmarks will save you from typing mistakes.
4. Avoid clicking on suspicious links.
You can check URL if you know the official website URL but to do this, you must search if it is a first time you want to find a website of an exchange.

Get basics of cryptocurrency check list, read several times to absorb advice there and have better practice in security. It is helpful for you to avoid being phished, hacked when you are on Internet.

We have received feedback from our users about a fake cryptocurrency exchange using the CoinCarp logo and a very similar domain name (coincarpep.com).
Do quick checks with some websites and this simple checking practice can help to detect phishing sites.

Use two biggest websites for cryptocurrency market cap checking.
https://coinmarketcap.com/
https://www.coingecko.com/

If you use a keyword, exchange name, for searching and find it on Coinmarketcap, Coingecko, you will get basic information includes a website link.

Checking more with https://who.is/whois/ and pay attention on Registered date, Expired date.

Using this https://www.similarweb.com/ to check information on a website traffic. A phishing site has low website traffic stats.

Those who use computers or laptops to access exchanges should have the original websites bookmarked so that they can open them from the bookmarks instead of clicking a click even if it's from Google or any other source because there are a lot of phishing attacks happening in the industry these days and this is the best way to stay safe from such things.

Newbie traders must stay away from anonymous people they meet on social media platforms or social chatting apps such as Telegram. Such people will try to be over-friendly, get you convinced that they are here to help you earn money, and then scam you smoothly without you realizing it until the time you have handed over your money to them.

Remember, no one would leave all their work and help you earn money when they are not getting anything out of it, when you experience something like this happening to you, understand that it is a scam and act quickly before it's too late.

Thanks for the reminders. Somehow, fake exchanges like that happen because until the people who don't know how to be careful don't disappear, the scammers who can take advantage for sure won't either. Those will probably disappear only if the value of money disappears, in my opinion.

So the only real solution to such things is for us to be wise in things like that. Don't they say that people who ignore things that should really be appreciated are always more careful?

Thanks for the heads-up, but I'm not familiar with CoinCarp or how big or small this crypto exchanges it. Nevertheless, it looks like the article is 2023 and it could be that some of the fake sites have been taken down, or new ones have pop up recently.

Yes, the announcement was quite long ago. but somehow Op said it again. The exchange social media that Op conveyed has also been inactive for a long time.
I'm worried that the Op has certain intentions because since creating the account it seems like he's focused on promoting the site.
I don't mean to be prejudiced, but if there are scammers who want to find targets, I think there are more popular sites with lots of users that could be an option. not a site I thought had been abandoned for some time.

Maybe we should assume this thread to be on the scam accusation board, because its more of a scam report of an exchange, and to everyone using centralized exchanges, we have to make research well on the exchanges we are using in other not to be a scape goat to some of their scam targets, so many sites have been like this whereby users pay no attention to the possibility of creating a fake website or a cloned version for it.

It is an old method that some scammers use but it doesn't mean that they cannot still adopt this method again to make victims of people who are new to cryptocurrency.
To always avoid being a victim of these kind of things it is good that you always download an application from the official website of the company and not from random links sent to you or links found on the internet.
