1) DOES NOT have anything to do with cryptocurrencies !!!
Putting that board in your ignore list is the best option for you because I don't believe your suggestion will be accepted by the forum's admins and the community.

I quoted only your first point to prove your foundation idea for the suggestion is not right.

All things in the world related and correlated to politics at different levels. Sports where people usually say are neither controlled nor affected by politics actually have with the recent example from bans on Russia and Olympics.

Crypto currency is obviously controlled and regulated by governments in the last 2 years. AMLD, KYCs, and so forth, all of them are related to politics, locally.

Or, as an option, move the "politics" section to "Off Topic" so that it doesn't appear at all.

The fact you don't like it doesn't mean it has to be removed. This is a forum and people simply cannot talk only about crypto. Or should they find another forum for the rest of discussions?!?
And you pinpointed the solution for you. You can simply ignore it. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;sa=ignoreBoards  (don't forget to press "change profile" to apply your changes)

I propose to close the "Politics" section

1) DOES NOT have anything to do with cryptocurrencies !!!
2) In this section there is nothing but mutual insults and reproaches
3) inciting ethnic hatred
4) This provokes conflicts between users who (conflicts) are then transferred to other sections of the forum (personal enmity)
5) Messages and topics, except insults, obscene expressions and all kinds of fake news and speculation, make no sense
6) Messages and topics violate the current legislation of many countries
7) etc., the list goes on and on

Or, as an option, move the "politics" section to "Off Topic" so that it doesn't appear at all.

Also, messages in the "Off topic" section should not be taken into account when counting posts (activity).
