you can stop using your account and comeback in future if you change your mind or also sell it for few bucks

it is also deleting posts/PMs. This is the closest thing to deleting an account that can realistically be achieved.

It is also worth noting here, that although a user can delete all of their posts/pms, Theymos can restore said PMs/posts if there is a reason to. Scammers in the past have tried deleting all of their posts to hide evidence, of which Theymos restored.

shorena actually checks the post history and keeps anything in scam accusacations and anything related to any scam. Any PMs would still be in the other person(s) inbox/outbox (plus forum backups) so this would probably not be the best way to cover up a scam but would be a good way to get rid of any reason to come back to an account.

Ok, so it seems that SAD is just shorena randomizing your password and whatnot so that you can't find it yourself.  I understand.  While this isn't a deletion, I guess it puts the lockout in someone else's hands.

And i think that too the shorena would be in profit if anyone wants to Use SAD service for his Hero member account and shorena do the thing he told in his thread after that time period he login the HERO account and sold it out ?

I would like to delete (permban) my bitcointalk account, please.
If a mod could do so (if you need to message me, please do) I'd be grateful.

Thanks

Change your password to something random.
Change you email to something random.
Log out

That is the ONLY WAY your account will be deleted.

But that's not a deletion. I think you mean to say that deletion isn't available and that's the next best thing, right?

Your best course of action is to change your password to something very secure and forget about the account. As others have mentioned accounts are not deleted. (not even admins can delete their own accounts)

OP, why don't you sell your account instead?
There are scammers who would use a stolen account to scam people or to spam non-constructive posts. He probably did not want his reputation to go down the drain and risk the reputation.

What does he care about that if he wanted to delete the account in the first place? I think that someone stole his account and now is trying to delete it.
He may be conscious about his own reputation. If he only decide to delete the account on BTC and if it can be linked to himself in real life or online, he would have a hard time trying to prove his innocence if the account gets negative trust down the road.

It's for privacy purposes because you use the same nickname in other projects/forums that are private or you just want to delete it?
If it's because you just want to delete it, reconsider your idea, keep in mind that maybe in the future you will use it  Wink

I am hoping this is not a hacked account.

If you're truly posting from your own account and you want to get rid of it, it might be a good idea to just sell it for some BTC.
With a neutral trust Full Member account you can get around 0.3 BTC easily.

"This user has changed his password recently" he either did what you guys said or he hacked that account and thats why he wanted to delete it, i guess thats why admins do not delete accounts right?
