Relax. Isn't this happened already many times? Don't panic, if you don't need your money yet in real life, just keep it as bitcoin, this drop won't hurt your money if you won't move it now. But if you aren't convinced and you need your money, go, cash it out, worrying won't help you when it comes to this situation. Take a look at the price chart now, it looks like the upset stomach already calmed down.

Longs got crushed just below the Bitcorn ultimate ATHs in USD (1163 on Stamp and 1175 Finex). It seems totally expected given the quick price rise of the last week coupled with the euphoria of approaching ATH, people went margin long. Some whale(s) simply took advantage and made a killing.
IMO we will be back over 1k USD in aday or two and the Honey Badger will continue to do what it does best.

If bitcoin is still around then and still working! (probably improved by then) ..then I think it will be worth an absolute fortune.
You need to be thinking long term. Short term profits are nice.. you should always hold some though, with a long term view.

Buy a little more.
I am pleased that it pulled back. It will let me continue building my position below $1000.
I expect the price to chop around for several weeks. This is normal behavior for a financial asset.
I expect it to be significantly higher in 2-3 years.

I would suggest all to hold your BTC and don't sell it . It won't go below 900 dollars but it will go up again for sure

Yes sudden unexpected fluctuations are most common with bitcoin prices, I guess this sudden fall was just due to a dump from bitcoin whale. But this must be another buying opportunity for Chinese investors who will be sleeping right now and will be getting ready for tomorrow's action. So be patient and don't sell it off and regret later . Good luck all. Always remember holding BTC is the best investment I read that already China has bought 5 million bitcoins in this rally compared to just 50k bitcoins bought in USD. So they will never let their investment go waste, they will keep on pumping for the sake of their earlier investments.

I definitely disagree with you. Chinese bought last month bitcoins are neither long term investors nor bitcoin enthusiasts. Their purpose is to sent their funds abroad. What was the quickest and cheapest way? Obviously bitcoin. If tomorrow, next week or whenever government of China decide to change financial strategy most of them immediately will they sell their coins and people will sell in panic.

The btc value you get after/during a two week climb of 200+ USD will never end up forming a stable price.
When you have this kind of movement its only a good idea to get in if you plan to make some money by short time trading.
Anyways, its gonna go up again. So you only lost money if you got in to high expecting to get short time profit.

down where? the pump started at 700 not at 900, bitcoin is still up by 200+, i see only a rising here, above 1000 was expected to be unstable nothing out of the ordinary in this market

That wasn't my intent. I don't know what the floor is going to be. I only know a few things. I know what a bubble is. I know Bitcoin is in a bubble. I know bubbles must eventually pop. When it does the price will go down.
How far up, down or length of a sideways movement is anybodies guess. If you find someone that tells you they know all of the above with certainty, they are lying to you or lying to themselves. I've made a sum of money picking a price then beginning a slow sell off based on what makes me personally comfortable. Let's say I have 2000 bitcoins. I decide to sell 100 at $1,000 and another 100 for every $100 increase above $1,000. If Bitcoin skyrockets to $500,000 a coin I still won't feel bad because I made a fat stack of cash and I'm willing to live with it. If the price goes to $1,300 and pops then I've made a little and will rebuy what I sold when I see a long period of sideways movement at what ever that price is. For me that works, for you maybe not.
