I can confirm that Passport run by the latest firmware doesn't support it.  Probably Passport team  could easily implement this  for paranoids who are  swarming  in crypto community especially taken into account that Passport supports  SeedQR code in both way, generating it and recovering from it.  Personally, I’m not so paranoid to use such feature.
There is a healthy and unhealthy dosage of paranoia. An unhealthy one is spending your life afraid that everyone and everything is out to get you and your bitcoin. However, in this case it's not unhealthy and here is why. The Blockstream Jade, just like the Trezor and Seedsigner, don't have secure enclosures for private keys in the form of secure element chips. That makes them more vulnerable to physical manipulation and key extraction. One way to prevent that is to wipe the device clean after every use. If there is nothing on it, there is no sensitive data to obtain with physical manipulation.

Agreed. For Jade and Seedsigner that is a good cause. When I said about paranoids I meant users of devices like Passport 2. In my view the latter has a robust security model and adding to their  security scheme  the opt like  "a stateless signer" would be overkill.

But you can also use Jade as a stateless signer, where it deletes all your private data when you turn it off. For that to work, you need to create a SeedQR code, and import the seed by scanning it with the camera. After you are done, you turn off the device and it's wiped clean with nothing on it.

I am not sure, but I don't think the Passport supports this option.

For comparison, the Passport from Foundation is way better than the DIY Blockstream Jade hardware wallet which does not support most of Bitcoin wallets.
I don't know if there is a difference between the DYI Jade and the built device, but the latter works with many popular software wallets. For example, Sparrow, Specter, Blue Wallet, Electrum, Blockstream Green, Nunchuk...

To OP
Foundation's Passport is overall a better device. It's one of the best (if not the best) hardware wallet you can buy right now. The Jade has one interesting feature, though, that I would like to mention. You can use it in two modes. The first being that of a standard hardware wallet, where your seed and keys are stored on the device. But you can also use Jade as a stateless signer, where it deletes all your private data when you turn it off. For that to work, you need to create a SeedQR code, and import the seed by scanning it with the camera. After you are done, you turn off the device and it's wiped clean with nothing on it.

Blockstream jade and passport
Which one is good and Trustworthy?
Both of them are good and open source, but Jade is budget version and Passport is more like premium hardware wallet.
Passport is much easier to use because it has physical buttons like dumb phones, and it has secure element for improved security.
Jade has few buttons so it's not so easy to enter anything manually, and it has only virtual secure element.
They both support only Bitcon, but bonus feature for Jade is native support for Liquid network and assets like L-BTC and L-USDT.
There is no universal answer, and it all depends how much money are you willing to spend on hardware wallet.

I would advocate Passport. It has robust security model the details of which can be found here.
I support this advice as well. Passport has a set of features that make it stand out of the competition. Sure it is pricey, but the set of features that it offers totally make it worth it. The team over at Foundation are constantly pushing out new features (see the latest here[1]) so you can expect that your hardware wallet will have more capabilities in the future than it has now.

You are also free to read the posts over at the Foundation official thread[2] as it has a ton of useful feedback as well.

Jade is not bad but lacks physical SE. It uses virtual one which requires communication with external oracle located on their server, though via encrypted channel, but still communication. In my view such model is less trustworthy then that one used by Passport.

However, there is another side of the matter.  Passport requires some budget to buy while Jade is much cheaper and can be even reproduced as DIY device for 10 bucks.

Foundation Passport outperforms Blockstream Jade in many details. Passport Battery is better (1200mAh compared to 240mAh) and contains the Secure Element (ATECC608A) https://github.com/Foundation-Devices/passport-firmware/blob/main/SECURITY/SECURITY.md
Better integration with many wallets such as Wasabi Wallet, BTCPAY, in addition to being an Air-gapped wallet, which is the best if you only plan to use Bitcoin.

Blockstream Jade is better in terms of price and liquid-based tokens such as L-USDT and L-BTC.

If you are looking for other open-source bitcoin wallets we have a thread here with a bit of comparison including the DIY hardware wallets.

Passport. It is airgapped. You can connect it with Sparrow and be making use of QR code for making transactions which is better. It has the features that reputed hardware wallet supoose to have and it is open source.

Hello to all
Please help me :-)
I want to buy a new hardware wallet. I visited bitcoin.org and selected two wallets out of several proposed wallets based on two features (open source and air gap). I want wallet only for Bitcoin.
Blockstream jade and passport
Which one is good and Trustworthy?
I'm currently using safepal s1 and I'm happy with it, but I prefer to use a wallet recommended on bitcoin.org and it's open source.
thanks for your help
