OP i was thinking if there is a beef going on between Nigerians here on this board when i saw this headings of yours and that was what got me attracted to reading your post here and unfortunately, it was very far from my thought. It baffles me how OP keeps complaining about this issue after knowing fully well the what Nigerians are always upto.

Of lately,  i came across a post on scam accusation board  and i was looking at the  profile  and how it got here. It pisses  me off that the rift was between two Nigerians.

If you dey careful to read piple comments here in di board, you go see 4rom recent rank up Sr. Members below Ranks e get many plagiarism comments, I don see some of dem in di Hangout thread. Wetin dey there for writing wey worth to go use AI dey generate your posts. See eh, writing in this forum just need experience. No dey stress yourself much, topic plenty to talk in and anyone wey you no sabi, let am go but go research on that topic and get yourself familiarize with am as e go surely repeat again in future and when you jam am and drop your mind, e go belike na you sabi am pass. There's no need to they spoil your chances of making a name for yourself on the forum by making use of AI or spamming.

It took us a long time to get people listening to what Nigerians in the forum had to say and get rewarded with merits, I know how many backlash wey men receive to make our voices stand out and today we're among the top quality posters and merited users of he forum. Make we no allow some bad eggs take this away from us.

It just surprises me that some users will go as far as using Artificial intelligence (A.I) to communicate with others in the forum, I mean for God sake we are Nigerians and I can say we are an English speaking country although the English is not fluent enough but at least every one that acquired formal education can be able to write and read which is the major in communication skills. If any nation or people are suppose to be doing this, it certainly shouldn't be us Nigerians. Nobody needs your big grammers in the forum so far as the message you are trying to pass can be understood by others, you are good to go and you can definitely participate in every area of the forum so I see no reason or use for AI. Please like our  broda has said already we all should be good ambassador representing our nations so let's all try our best on this issue and see to it that's we have a good reputation in the forum.

It’s not coincidence that a group of new accounts that were created around the same time are all using AI to make posts. You can easily spot these accounts creating topics everywhere on the forum. And I don’t think the use of AI was because of a language barrier, it’s not a valid excuse.  Anyone who can prompt an AI must be literate and Nigeria is a English speaking country. Some of these accounts have been reported a couple of times for plagiarism, the sad part is that they have written some posts here in our board (some are plagiarized posts as well) so it makes me wonder why should one feel the need to copy content to post in his own local board.

AI generated text firstly isn't only used by Nigerians, all other nations and persons from different social, cultural background use it.
One reason I feel Nigerians always get bad representation is the fact of not being credible, always looking to outsmart the system.
What if we infuse pidgin English into our posts, will that show it is not AI generated or will it make it more authentic?
What if we use AI generated topics or replies to questions we ask and remake a post to our advantage, will that also be called cheating or call for bad rep?
What gets me concerned the most is the deregatory remarks made by fellow Nigerians about the offices of government and their personnel or other bodies, infact, If we say nothing bad or become abusive,  we would have presented or projected the entire nation in a positive light.

You know say anybodi when just new register account here for this forum the first thing when dey come thier mind nah how to earn merits, so most of them now Kon dey reason say dem fit bypass the normal process by using AI to generate ideas and also to generate answers to certain post.
Sometimes, if I dey proofread post when I make and I notice some mistakes for maybe spellings or grammar, I dey purposely leave am like that because nobody for this world dey perfect and nah also sign say nah human being write am nor be one those AI when dey reign for everywhere.


Yes, I came across several threads and replies made by some newbies who just introduced themselves here in naija board and then ventured out into the forum to continue their learning journey, I have reported some of them and also left some probably because I had something to do at that moment.
The use of AI in this forum is becoming something else and if not controlled with the appropriate measures it's going to affect the forum in a negative way.

The truth bi say the forum no too send your English Language. No bi like say I dey encourage people to dey write scatter scatter English, but wetin the forum need na for you to make sense even if your grammar no too sound.
So I no see any reason why people dey use the AI stuff to arrange their post. In fact I don see some of my post wey the grammar bend small dey get merit pass some wey I use Grammarly arrange. The koko bi say you make you try your best and leave the rest for God.

Another thing bi say people feel say na when your write long post na him go get the right attention so dem wan use AI arrange their post. But na lie, if your post dey short like Zacchaeus for Bible but eh make sense something fit drop for you. My general advice bi say make we carry load wey we fit carry. If you know say you no go fit feed more than one pikin well well make you no give your wife belle.

Ever since I know sae this forum no need much for peso to be a member other than for person to abide by the rules and regulation and make good post, em d good to go. I no d even bug myself ever since I no sae na wetin the forum need. Because of lately such issues have been discussed to stop AI content generated posting or even copying and paste from other website without the provision of original content link. Even to an extent Satoshi offering some free-will donation for our newbies and member ranks to increase their posting format in other to be qualify and whomever that posts very good will be rewarded according to thread. So i wonder why will any of us try using AI to post or even create content.

As a matter of fact, i try my possible best to use a common english language that will be easily to reader by everyone, The arm of english language is for us to be able to communicates one another and if that is being achieved i don't know why people should go extra-mile trying to explore AI to please or satisfy the reader. To me english in Nigeria is a borrowed Language and all we should do is to be able to effectively communicate here without any tools or pleasing the reader, I myself don't use any tools to write despite the level of my education yet i still try my best to create and communicate with people, even seeing people here says my posts are not quality enough yet i didn't get discouraged any way.

Thanks @ EarnOnvictor for this update, because it is the best thing a brother could do that you have just done, and let he who has ear let them hear, because we all know how the forum now frown at using A.I and it will be very sad that we loses another brother or sister of ours to this careless habit. So on that note I will advise those who think they are not that good in English to download this app called "Grammarly", as it will go a long way in helping improve your English writing, which is more safer and better than using an A.I assistant.

Although some members recommend good English on this forum, but truthfully I do not see myself as an excellent English speaking person. I do not use any AI because I know the English I was taught in school with the little that I can use to communicate is enough for even a native English person to understand what I am communicating which is all that matters to me. I am 0% dependent on AI.

Personality and reasoning vary but I will say my mind. And to avoid drawing the attention of external people on the forum, I will not put @name.

I'm dragged into this because I wrote a topic on the meta section (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/this-gets-me-worried-i-think-the-brains-in-the-forum-should-look-into-it-5449138) on Monday tackling what a legendary rank member (I didn't want to tag such) wrote about AI-generated content. This was because a very good writer could be affected by his detection-suggested approach. The reply of people however encouraged me to do a little detective task on the forum on this subject for the first time, and sincerely, I'm not happy with my investigation.

70% of the 10 accounts tested guilty (though new ones) have identified with us by writing on our board. After using AI-detection sites and ChatGPT, I still proceeded to carefully study the posts manually to deliver my verdict. The plagiarism is much even as some of these posts had already been declared AI-generated by other users before me. I find this implicating, and I advise us to stop it.

I'm not accusing anybody, yet it's obvious, the little way we can behave ourselves and uphold the image of the country should be utilised. We all abuse politicians and others here, craving for a change, but are we good ambassadors too?

You will be surprised that some of these people are even more brilliant and vast than those that write well by themselves. But laziness and trying to cheat and outsmart everywhere they find themselves make them do it.

Let's stop the selfish and I-don't-care attitude that has cost us and our country so much pain.
