This forum is not about ranking up and earning merits. This is why theymos implemented this merit system to lessen the spam in the forum because of signature campaigns. Back before, anyone can create an account and can ranked up by increasing the activity points by posting and joining signature campaigns. My opinion on why you wanted to rank up is because the person who introduced you to this forum or where you heard about this forum is because they tell that this forum is a money making but a information and knowledge sharing platform.

As I see it, high rank quires your willingness to serve for this forum, for people around here. then high rank is not what you ask, but what this forum gives to you automatically. It depends on your contribution and attitude.

Ranking up is supposed to be an unintentional consequence that one contributed well in discussions or in the forum as a whole.

If he just wants to get merits very easily here, it is difficult. We could make a stat on how many people have opened a similar thread and dropped out soon after, possibly, after finding out that ranking-up is not an easy feat, albeit achievable if one puts some time into it.

It seems like a very small subset of accounts, and there is certainly fault somewhere there. Most will blame the Merit System per se, whilst others will lay the root cause in the lack of effort. Both are probably actually correct to some extent. Needing to ask for motivation seems to place one on a certain side of the balance though.

Your rank isn't that high to be accepted to a signature campaign so I don't think that you need to worry about it, remember that you have to first learn things in the forum, how to make an engaging thread or post, making it a quality and asking the right questions. From my point of view, I find that you are just in this forum to get paid and it's not like it's wrong but you are trying to speed up the process. Now if you have some marketable skills, you can try to sell your skills in Service because a lot of people need some things to do.
Everything you do must be done step by step. This ranking is also gradual. This is not simple. If you know something about Bitcoin, you can share it with us, or help others, and make some contributions. If you just want to rank and don't understand Bitcoin, I advise you to give up. Moreover, this achievement does not mean that you want others to give it to you, but it depends on your value. If the knowledge you share is valuable, then everyone will be willing to give it to you instead of letting others give it to you

Yes it do affect the pay, I think you were talking about signature campaign right? Right now in order to rank up you need to earn merits which were you can get if you participate in topics, well constructed, informative and not just posting anything it will come naturally and will be given to you by users if they find your post worth it and through that you will be able to earn a lot of merits plus you need to increase your activity.
There's no such things as easy, you need to work hard in order to increase your rank.
Merits are not just given,they are given when one's write-up deserves to be merited.Research before posting,giving useful contributions to topics,creating threads that are attractive and meaningful are ways in which one can get merits.

You can achieve high rank through post a thread that can gave any Ideas to everyone who can see your tread. But first you need to read the rules and regulations in this forum .
If you want to rank up here please stop looking at the possible profit you can possibly accumulate and the ideal thing you need to do at the early stage is to find and learn those informations which you can learn here as well became a good contributor on this forum then from that you can possibly rank up and get your target rank.

Higher the rank then bounties and campaigns will pay more but if you are here to make money so wanted to rank up then you will find it more difficult. Just focus on gathering information so that you can gain knowledge from that you can make money which will be worth a lot than those few dollars you get paid for every weeks from these signature campaigns.
Your best chances and hopes of getting motivated on ranking up is in the testimonials from those that have successfully ranked up. update yourself in areas of blockchain technology, Bitcoins and altocoins and provide current and authentic updates here on news and events about cryptocurrency. if you can do this, i think you can and will rank up. there may be other ways of ranking up. there are also forums here with details on how to rank up. i think it is difficult these days to rank up due to the increasing number of users.

Reaching a high rank seems to take too much time nowadays and it is nothing like how it was before. Before, it was the activity count that helps you rank up, now it is through merit which is much more harder to get compared to activity counts. Nevertheless, there are couple of ways on how you can gain merit in the forum. First is through making sure your post is full of knowledge with regards to the topic as well as being related on what the topic says. Another way is through finding certain places in the forum where people give merits more frequent than in the other. I think for you to get high rank is for you to have focus and you need to study all the rules in Bitcointalk forum and follow all necessary rules.
You need knowledge to make constructive post, give your time to research to acquire more knowledge that will benefit others in the forum. With all this you can be skyrocketed to higher rank within few years.

To achieve high rank, receiving merits is one way other than achieving the number of activities you have. If you had a lot of activities but not enough merit, you cannot rank up.
Like for example, you already have 30 activity but no merits, that means you can't rank up from Newbie to Jr. Member. You need at least 1 merit to become a Jr. Member.
For you to gain merits, don't try being a merit beggar. You've got to earn it through quality posts. However, not all quality posts can be merited, and there are no guarantees as well on how long you can receive merits. It depends if at least one member of the forum "feels" that it definitely helps, he would give some voluntarily.

I honestly don't agree with your viewpoint here OP. We're not the ones that should make you want to climb higher in the ranks - that should be your own determination and judgment to be honest with you. If you lack the motivation / determination to climb the "ladder" why would you we, a bunch of random John Doe's, try to motivate you?

The "easily" part, if left in, probably leads to a dead-end. It’s not an easy feat, although for some people it’s going to be natural to their habits and abilities, which for them may be seemingly easy, but not for the average Joe. 34 Legendries, 57 Heroes, 84 Sr. Members and 240 Full Members (if we stretch over to mid-ranks) is a pretty small overall collective. Looking over their posting history should probably be suffice to see what sort of posts they made, which should answer the question (dropping, as mentioned, the easy component).
There are a lot of members who comes with the merit system exist but most of them conquer the merit requirement to get their desired rank and one of these is me. If you want to earn merit why not start with your local because sometimes they are the ones who can give you too much confidence because you cope with each other. Also, try to observe the posting style of another member how they get merit depends on the quality and being helpful to other members. Try to share your knowledge and contribute to the discussion that might help the other members of the community. Most of your contents are just more on asking use that information given to you

The first thing you should do is change your perspective of this forum. Let go of that mindset of ranking up and instead focus on providing helpful posts that benefit the community.
I advice you to read a lot about crypto first. Learn about the community and the industry. Participate in discussions rather than just asking questions. A lot of people here are great and will provide helpful information. Ultimately, that should be what matters most, not your rank.

Pay you means on signature right. Actually this should be on the least priority when you planning to stay longer here cause most chances of ranking up fast is based on quality post and not on report link from bounty and authentication post. Look like you have come at the wrong forum. This is not a job forum where you will get paid. I know people are earning from posting here but trust me if you only look on how to get merit, rank up and earn from campaigns, you will end of getting nothing.

If you are here to learn, then welcome. My advice is to read a lot before posting. If you read as much as you can, then you will be better informed and people will find your your posts to be more beneficial, and you will earn merits.
On the other hand, if you are here only to make money by posting, then you have come to the wrong place.
you will spend a lot of time here before you rank up so if you are thinking of the fast way based on your post so then thats vague then you need a lot of knowledge in crypto first then you also need to know the system and rules here in the forum because you also need that(that's another way to get merit to rank up). What's the purpose of you achieving a higher rank on this forum? Is it primarily to enable you to participate in campaign signatures? If that is the case, then chances are you are not going to rank up.
In order to rank up, you need merits that people would commend you on the threads that you post. If you mindlessly post about nothing but nonsense or spam in the forum, then I doubt you'll ever receive one. Remove that mindset of ranking up and instead, focus on creating useful threads that will benefit the community. The more you think about actual contribution, the more that your post quality will improve.

From what I can see based on your post, you see this forum as an earning platform rather than a forum where we can all have relaxing discussion/conversation.
Merits are given if the community thinks you deserve merit; and it sure does come naturally if you actually know a lot concerning Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. And if you're coming here to Bitcointalk with little to no Bitcoin knowledge and you're immediately rushing to earning money, then chances are you're going to fail painfully.
