Bitcoin transactions have been very slow of late, and it does not apply to blockchain only. Even other wallets are experiencing the same even if you set higher fees. Blockchain is the best because you will set your own fees unlike some wallets which preset the fees for you - mostly high.

Yeap, agree on this. The deposits are slow

Yesterday i wanted to deposit $10 to bitsler site.

I even sent extra $0.27 as fee compare to previously when i just add $0.14 (Of course due to the price of btc raising) Still, with 70 satoshi per bytes, it takes hours to reach bitsler for 1 confirmation.

And i check on the bitcoin fee site, the ideal fee to sent is 140satoshi per byte when the transaction size for me is 366 yesterday.

Not sure if the fees is too small for the miners to accept or there's lesser miners in the pool now Sad

Actually deposit does not really matter to me, as long as they have some notification on their site I am sure it will always get some confirmation but when it comes to withdrawal it needs to be fast because if it is not fast people will think this is a scam. This is an usual problem, that is why usually I always used higher fee so it will instant

yeah right, people always think that if the withdrawal process is very slow, it is a scam, but in real talk, there is no need to judge that immediately if the site provide TXID to track the withdrawal process just like on bitsler. But if the site didn't provide TXID, that is the best time to think about that the site is a scam site.

I think it is actually easy to overcome is to realize many gambling sites that will not hurt them to add deposit their users without having to wait 1 or 3 confirmation transaction bitcoin, I think it also has to start from gambling sites to accept deposits users with zero confirmation
I agree with you to solve this problem should also need to be conscious of the owners of gambling sites and good cooperation with users to resolve problems on the full transaction in some time, at least they could be able to start receiving zero transaction confirmation bitcoin when their users make a deposit without had to wait a long time, but I've found it here

if i use blockchain before sending bitcoin I need to see the link below

https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

if I see around 40k transactions unconfirmed better I postpone my transactions until really it was only 20k Unconfirmed transactions will be easier because my transaction immediately confirmed

one more note, I also often notice miner machine that is really active on this image

if I've seen Viabtc, btccpool,bw.com and some tools mining major also seen there of course I will do a transaction to send bitcoin me, so in my opinion is not wrong to use the wallet blockchain moreover should use Fee large transactions, in some time, I often do not see them miners miners large inactive, so only a few small miners to find the block it is not too soon Smiley

I have 2 questions:

Question 1: I use blockchain.info for my wallet how do you adjust fees?

Questions 2: How else do you send btc besides through blockchain?
1. As far as I know you can set transaction fees manually anymore. New HD Blockchain.info will take care of it and automatically choose the best possible (lowest) fee.

2. If by "blockchain" you are referring to blockchain.info then you need to know that this isn't the only Bitcoin wallet available. It is one of many online bitcoin wallets.
There are also software wallets, by many considered more secure and safe option than keeping your coins in online wallet. For example you can use: Electrum, MultiBit HD, Armory.

1. you can still set fees in the new interface too. it is a simple button at the bottom of the page where you set receiving address and amount, you click it and then set any fee you want.

2. these wallets aren't "more secure" on their own, you can be running any of these on a compromised computer (a system with a keylogger for instance) and lose all your funds.
the most secure way is a cold storage that is done right.

I can confirm that the default fee with blockchain iOS app is definately nowhere near the https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ average for fast confirmation.

Basically its almost less than half that and depending how lucky you are it might take 1 or 2 days to confirm. And many new people never use higher fees because it always warns them that the higher fee isn't necessary and it should confirm right away within the hour but that's not true.

They really need to fix this or get some other way of calculating how the fees should be calculated. Imagine buying something at a store and having to wait 24 hours until you get your item.

We can set the fee on blockchain as we wish, cant we? Means that if we want to get faster transaction so we need to set higher fee.

What if most of the people will do that? Do you think it will still goes to a "fast transaction"?

Setting high fees doesn't mean you will get a fast confirmation but rather you are increasing the chance that you will be on the priority list. Since there are people who also sets a much higher fees than usual, the line of priority list is just getting longer so nothing to do but wait even you applied a much higher fees.

Visualize this : You have a queue system, where you pay a fee to stand in the queue. The higher fee you pay, the better chance you have to advance to the front. The rich people will be helped first and the poor people will have to wait. Is this really what we want for Bitcoin?

If everyone starts paying higher fees, then there are still only one queue with the same capacity and everyone will be waiting. ^hmmmmmm^

If a player really wants to get his deposit fast into his account to any casino site, the best way is to use higher fees, looking at the huge number of unconfirmed transactions in blockchain now, I would recommend to use the minimum amount miner fees of 0.0002 BTC to send your bitcoins out of your wallet.

Any amount lower than 0.0002 BTC miners fee at current state, I suppose it would be a super long wait for the player to get 1 confirmation from the blockchain Cheesy

Yes. 0.0002 is the very minimum for the miners fee. I experience the long wait since last year which is why I  didn't use it after it. Electrum asks 0.0005. Miners pick these transactions to have better profit of course.

What I like about blockchain.info however is that they adjust the fee on thier own so there would be nothing left on our wallet which  is pretty neat unlike using the hard drive wallets that until now two of the wallets I've had still has extra 0.000004 btc left on it. I still didn't uninstall these wallets because I still want to use them later even when it will take days to sync them again.

One guy sent $100 with his Trezor and ended up being charged $10 in fees alone for a 1 output 2 input transaction of 200-300 bytes at most.

Hence you should manually set your fees from now on using Bitcoinfees.21.co, go there and see what the fastest and cheapest is. Which is currently 140 sat/byte, and just make it 50% larger and it should confirm with the next block. Don't let it automatically select for you, or you will get charged $10 per transaction.
I don't have idea about trezor but blockchain.info provide feasibility to choose fee and they also estimate time to wait for given fee. This will only turn out to be exact when there is not much congestion on bitcoin network but if mempool is full better to just slightly increase recommended fee by them for confirmation within 1 block. I am doing this from starting and even right now mempool is almost full but got my transaction confirmed within next block using around 150 satoshi/byte fee.  Grin

Laterally for some reason there have been transaction with HUGE miners fees in them. I think there was a block which had a 3-4 BTC miner fee alone. Basically 3-4X as large as usually and it messed up fees for many.

Agreed.
Automated fees aren't bad in themselves. Sure they work, but they're only for noobs. Anyone with a bit of experience of cryptocurrencies knows that btc is good for its flexibility! You want fast transactions? You pay high to be able to get in the next block. You have time? Then you put the bare minimum. Putting automated fees is just taking a useless risk out of... Pure lazyness.

Im assuming OP meant the blockchain wallet. I use both blockchain and bitcoin core wallet and it seems the only thing that makes any difference on confirmation speed is the transaction fee. Usually 100k fee will do it for me (within 10 minutes for confirmation most of the time) but 50k for when im low on bitcoin (20 min to hour average).

Nope some people use online wallets at a site called Blockchain.info and they are struggling with confirmations. I have also picked up, that Blockchain.info is also slow to update what happens on the Blockchain. If I use blockexplorer.com it shows a up to date situation, but Blockchain.info shows old information.

You should just use https://bitcoinfees.21.co to calculate the fees for you.
