I would suggest you to buy ripple right now. It is a project based upon the idea of real time gross transfer (RTGS), and global value transfer. It is a project which can certainly revolutionize the global banking system.
Ripple has been increasingly adopted by banks and is Used by companies such as UniCredit, UBS and Santander and it still has a lot of potential to grow.
The coin has a market capital of around 8 billion dollars and is one of the most stable crypto available in the market. You can expect it's price to be around 0.5$ within 5 years for sure.

Well, why not to see price changes over the last 6 months to decide which coins to pick? Bitcoin went from $1300 to $6000, ethereum from $60 to $300, xrp from 3 cents to 20 cents, ltc from $15 to $60, dash from $80 to $300 and Neo from less than a dollar to $30. I guess, if you just keep your investments in top-15 coins on coinmarketcap, you'll get good profit. So it isn't really important to take a look at what these coins offer and whether their dev team are good. Best of luck!

I'm on the fence with NEO. I love the technology, especially being able to use a variety of programming languages to write smart contracts, but man have a lot of people jumped on that train. I am almost at 1000% and waiting for some adjustment but not willing to sell them yet.

It can be risky but I like the idea of finding those black swan event undervalued new coins. Just have to be very diligent with research and they need to pass a few litmus test - but there are some out there. Currently all about Oyster which I hope succeeds or inspires similar tech and IOTA. Of course diversification is a good idea still and Ethereum and Bitcoin are always good.

Since your holding period is long, i would suggest to hold coins that has potential to grow in value. And because you only going to also focus on 3 coins, i will limit the choices to bitcoin, eth and neo.

For bitcoin, it is stable and constantly increase in value. For eth, the potential is there so it can rise in value. And the demand is always there so it wont drop too much. As for neo, it has huge potential too and the best part is that it able to generate gas which gives you free money.

Besides all of the ones that have been mentioned, take a look at Raiblocks(XRB). It's basically IOTA with more positives before IOTA was a thing. It hasn't exploded yet but when(not if) it does it should be significant.

if you want to invest good altcoins, i suggest that you must invest the top 10 crypto currency in the market today this coins are proven profitable for long term investments. the best choice will be Ethereum for it has so many large corporation are backing up the ethereum, they are more dynamic and pro-active than bitcoin. they have so many development and projects than bitcoin.

I suggest you about Eidoo but you can try to make your own research about that through analyzing all of the data that already provided by the eidoo developers in the announcement thread.
But in my opinion, eido has a very solid team.
But determined from your total amount if that will better for you to choose those altcoins are having very little on its price. Maybe to put some of your amount looks good.
Just try to do your research about that, you will never regret it later.

People say NEO, XMR, Waves, OMG, Ripple are the best alt-coins now. I do not trust the bitcoin, what to say about the alt-coins? I have bought 0.2 NEO, for 6 USD but this is it for now. My advice is not to invest in alt-coins. And ah, I forgot I found an interesting alt-coin 10-20 days ago, its name was UNO, but its market was closing.
If you want to buy altcoins (with all my advice) I would say to hold them at least 3-5 years, not 6 months. In 6 months nothing happens with their value (in the best scenario you loose something of earn a little).

I'm just suggest you to analysis coin market then decided to investment or not investment. Without analysis you can't make a good money from online. Recently we see weves coin is a most profitable but it is a long time process so you can buy waves, swp and bitcoin.
