I did a transfer from an exchange to my wallet and it seems odd it's been a very long time as in 2 hours now and the transaction seems to be stuck with only 3 of the 10 confirmations.

Should I be concerned or is this normal?

I would be interested in doing so, but I'm worried that A) my machine won't be up to he task, and B) that I'll ruin my gaming rig trying to mine coins. I'm also very new to the crypto community, and have no real idea what I'm doing. Right now I'm just invested through purchases, but I want to help any way possible. Is there any way for me to throttle my GPU so as to not put too much stress on it while mining? Is it even worth doing with one gtx 1070? I know I can rent mining rigs online, but they seem fairly costly, and I like the idea of doing it on my own (also, power is pretty cheap here). What you guys think? I'm invested in DMB, and don't plan to change that anytime soon, but if I can help the cause in any other way, I'd love to.

you can use the site
http://www.findblocks.com

download a X11 mining program like "SGMiner-GM-5-5-5"
then you start the miner with a batch file like this
"sgminer -k x11 -o stratum+tcp://findblocks.com:7056 -u -p "
password in most of the times there is none so you can write somthing like "x" "pw"
Here are the ports to use for dificulty
Port: 7055, Diff: 0.01 Port: 7056, Diff: 0.05 Port: 7057, Diff: 0.8

Under worker on the mining site you must see your walletadress, then you know it works fine
