I have a youtube account as well and trying to reach the required number of subscribers and watch hours to monetized it within a year.
I started last May with a content about health.

Try to create a useful or interesting content to attract viewers, thats the key to monetize your account.

You need to have achieve a certain number of subscriber and watch hours in order for your channel to become monetized by Youtube. In order to do that, you need to make a content that viewers will like, a content where you are not violating any rules and regulation in Youtube.
