I have been lurking here for a while, and am holding around 21mil coins. Not a huge amount, granted, and i will be putting in some buy orders shortly.
I really like the activity of the dev's- excellent work guys, the recent developments are fantastic, very very professional.
The one thing that does concern me is the volume, their simply isn't enough. prior to the announcements we had some good volume, both in ltc and btc, while this was to be expected on the lead up to the 30th August, i can't understand since the announcements, why this has crashed to current levels. I don't understand why? personally i think the ON TIME announcements and developments were spot on, so why the massive downturn on volume?
Thoughts please?
The entire altcoin space is just stretched too thin. There are 500 active coins now and everyday more crowd in. At the same time, the amount of money in altcoins is going down as people get sick of scams and pull out. There are fewer dollars chasing more coins. Furthermore the hyped gadget coins still suck in the majority of the free cash in the market as people still dream of buying into the next bitcoin.
Every week a new one crops up, gets +300BTC or more volume on Bittrex and then the manipulators dump and take their profits thus leaving yet another thread of hopeless bag holders desperately looking for some Twitter hyped supercorn to make their money back and let let them buy a Lambo.
Everyweek hundreds of coins have new announcements, new hype, new features and investors find themselves scurrying like mice from coin to coin afraid to miss out on the next Darkcoin.
I'm into a few coins (including Panda). Basically I'm holding in the hopes that when the market eventually clears out the garbage Panda will be one of the long term survivors. I hope the dev team will be able to stick with it for the next year or so until that happens because unless they drop some kind of marketing bomb to get people outside of crypto to use Panda not much is going to happen with Panda (or anyother non-Twitter pump and dump coin) for quite a while.
Panda seems well be run and stable without scams, problems or issues. I'm not making money but I feel I won't logon here one day and find out the devs have run away or that there is a hidden pre-mine or any of the usual scamcoin issues.
