Hi all,

We have free rolls everyday! Come and check out our poker room at BetVIPpoker.com and look out for our daily 100 mBTC free rolls. We will also be launching loyalty specials for players who frequently play with us, for example free rolls only accessible to players who have played certain amounts of cash games.

What do you all think? We would love to hear some suggestions and make our site the best poker room around  Smiley

I have to download the 'app' to play and that's a bit of a problem for me. I am sure there is nothing wrong with your Client but I don't like to download softwares and prefer playing in browser.

We are bringing out our new HTML5 client at BetVIPpoker.com in the next few days, you'll be able to play in-browser Smiley

We currently also have a deposit bonus up to a maximum of 1 BTC and over your first 3 deposits. It releases in 10mBTC intervals based on earning Cash Game Points. We are also starting Cash Game Point entry tournaments with big prizes!

Kind regards,
Jess

Bigger non-freeroll guaranteed tournaments. People are attracted to the overlay. This way you attract paying/depositing players and those who aren't interested in playing freerolls for peanuts. When there comes a point in time where there is no longer overlay, it's still good because there will be traffic/action. Win-Win for everybody.

overlay kicks arse and if it costs you the same as a freeroll promotion its likely brought in better quality traffic as a result since they have at least paid some to enter the game.

Freeroll is aim to attract new users. If it sets some thresholds, why people play there?

The problem is that micro freerolls don't attract the kind of people that a poker site needs to survive.  If a site has, say, a 1BTC/wk promotional budget and puts that budget into running 6 chips worth of freerolls a day, the only people that that is going to attract are people like you who just said that you aren't interested in depositing on a site.  Now that's obviously fine for you as an individual, but for the poker site that's bad because they are never making any money.

If, instead, the site puts that budget into deposit bonus', guaranteed tournaments, or funding a rake race promotion of some sort, they are more likely to attract players who will actually deposit money and play regularly, allowing the site to rake pots and start recouping start up costs.  These types of people are also more likely to leave bonus money on their accounts and play more.

Agree with this mostly. Rewarding actual players makes more sense. Freerolls where you have to earn an entry and Guaranteed tournaments are the way to go. I do think that freerolls are important for a site too.

I would suggest you not spam threads multiple times over the course of a couple of days with the same message.  It comes off as very unprofessional.

Hi CryForMe,

This is not spamming a thread, a user inquired about what we have to offer and quoted our name. We then have every right to respond to these users and ask what they would like to see.

There has been some good promotions at betVIP you got 10mbtc just for joining and then you they had quite a few 100mbtc freerolls , the playing field was small but getting bigger which is good Smiley The promotions i prefer are 100% deposit bonus and big freerolls that only a select few qualify for threw winning smaller freerolls or depositing a certain amount during a certain period of time..

Is that promotion still going on? How much deposit one has to make to get that?
Do I have to download their client to play Poker or can it be played on web browser?
I am looking for a decent Poker room, will check betVIP out. Thanks

i would like to see bonuses for loyal players on the poker site. Whether it be free chips, increased rake back. Also, the qualifying players could be entered in to a monthly freeroll or weekly drawing.

Yes, this is good, there must be something that differentiate freeloaders from real Poker lovers and this would help.

IMO, in the crypto community, the best way to run a poker site is freeroll. And it needs lots of time to be a big poker house, maybe half a year or longer.

Why?  As I said, if a poker site is only attracting freerollers, they will never make any money.  For a site to survive, let alone thrive, they need to attract real money players who are willing to deposit and spend time playing games that the site can rake.  If the site is, at best, raking their own money back they will shutter in months.  It's happened time after time after time.

When a site is only catering to freerollers, what do you think happens when people who are willing to deposit come in and take a look around?  They see the bad software (which 95% of the users don't care about because they are playing for fun), they see nobody playing for anything other than freeroll stakes, and they leave.  There isn't even an incentive for them to stick around and try to game start because all of the marketing capital is spent running freerolls.

Exactly my point, Freerolls can be really profitable for the players for they don't have anything to lose but if a Site has only players who are interested in playing Freerolls than sooner or later it will go bankrupt. Which is why I said that a site should only allow freerolls to players who are active and participate in ring games too.

And Poker sites especially don't have that much profit margin like dice or other gambling sites do because players are not playing against the site but with each other.

thank you all for all your inputs.

i have nothing against freeloaders but, as a poker player i hate to see websites getting shut down just because there are no cash game players. we all need to take into consideration that the website needs to make some profit otherwise it will just shut down, sooner or later.

Yup, A poker site can't only survive on freeloaders, they need genuine players who are interested in playing poker and are not their just to get the freebies.

not all poker players are freeloaders for freerolls, most might be a freeloader but not all, and also the freerolls can be considered as an advertising to try out a site, higher prize pool will attract a lot more players for the free rolls, this can actually be countered by making minimum wagering before entering a free rolls tournament

Hey guys!

Consider checking out BetVIPpoker.com - we have a 500mBTC freeroll starting in a few hours and would love for you to join! Use your winnings to take home the big prize in the 1BTC guaranteed tomorrow Cheesy

Kind regards,
