jcarver does runitup . tv that is really good and free

There are some great resources just on youtube these days also.  Probably best to search via most recent date. Nothing like the old days where people had no clue of bet sizes at all.

Yes, there's a lot of old stuff which is useless for todays games. Miss the good old times but still can find enough weak players to make some money with a solid strategy. But you have to work a lot harder now. What stakes and sites do you guys usually play?

Has anyone improved their poker game by simply reading poker literature and watching videos? I have always thought everything depends on variance and luck. Would love to read your experience.

Watching videos when they first opened cardrunners.com actually taught me how to play properly and win. Before that there were no video resources really and the games were super super easy.

Short term variance and luck is a huge factor. But long term skill is the key component to win at the tables. I've booked a few hours by a coach but most of the time I improved my game by reading books or watching videos.
Actually Poker is probably the only one casino's game where reading guides and tutorials will affect your wins.
I like to compare Poker with chess, I now these games are nothing alike as every information is visible on a chessboard right from the beginning, but you will probably lose at chess if you only know how to move with player who can play on higher level. The same is with poker, there are ways of doing things in poker which are better than randomly playing 'as I like'.

sound interesting, and how can you sure this video work very good, and usefull for you?have you try to practice what shown on video?
wht about the price?its expensive because it reability?

Most videos are from well-known coaches/players who have a high reputation in the poker biz and are winning players for quite a long time. So there is definitely value in these videos. Not every video is good for every player. Of course a coach who plays Zoom $2.5/$5 in his videos isn't the best choice for a beginner, because he is playing against really strong and advanced players and you need a complete different strategy compared to micro stakes.

The price might look high at first, but if a video for 5€ helps you to fix 1 or 2 major leaks in your game you will get your money back really fast at the tables.

And as already mentioned in this thread, there is a lot of free content available. If you've never used videos/books/articles try out the free stuff first and look how this works for you. I am sure you will be impressed really fast. Smiley

I just visited your site all I can say at this point it looks nice.I think you should offer this service for free because this will help promote your site. All the best for you as well in new year.

As SyGambler already mentioned, it would be good to know what service exactly do you mean? We don't set a rate for the coaches or the video producers. They decide how much they want to take. The staking section you can use for free too. We don't take any fees. We just provide the platform. Everything else is up to the users.

Happy new year!  Smiley

hey pokermarket I don't know if you can help with this but I need your advice
I'm looking for STT coaching videos especially for 9max regular speed and how to move up in stakes , I got lost when I tried to search them
can you recommend me something which is really good ? is there any well-known person in pokermarket who is playing mainly STT 9max ?

Thanks for you interest. Unfortunately I couldn't find any video content or coach who has specialized on 9max STTs. At the moment there is more content/coaches in the cash game section, but I've found two coaches who still might be helpful to you.

Try to get in touch with them and describe your situation. Maybe they can help you or know someone who can. Sorry that there is not more I can do right now. You can also made a post in our forum. There a lot of players and I am sure you can get some good advices.

thanks for answering , I will make sure to check em

what service ?? staking for sure won't for free and the coaching methods depend on the person who makes them
some people may make free contents , but most of them will try to make some money

Good site! But there are many resources which offer the same for free.
I have used pokerstrategy.com some time ago. it offers a wide range of Poker videos - even from pros - for free.

I get your point, but it's not for free at Pokerstrategy too. You have to create an account on any of their offered poker rooms and play (generate rake). This leads to a higher status in their system and depending on your status you can watch the videos. Of course you do not pay directly for the content, but in the end it's the same. If you create an account through PokerMarket you collect "Tokens" and you can use them to buy videos and books: https://pokermarket.com/deals.php#/tokens

But thanks for your feedback and input! We really appreciate it! Give us some time to grow and evolve Wink We work really hard to build a great community for every poker player. Smiley

Okay guys, I am out for 2015. I wish you and your families a very Happy and Healthy New Year! Thanks a lot for this warm welcome here! Enjoy the night and have fun! See you in 2016!

Chris

About PokerStars domination:

I found data about traffic on some more popular Poker sites, here it is:

Poker Stars Current traffic - 13,860  Seven day average - 20,500

and then we have real abyss:

888 Poker   Current traffic - 1,796   Seven day average - 2,600
Titan Poker Current traffic - 1,006   Seven day average - 2,200
Party Poke  Current traffic - 785     Seven day average - 1,600

According to this traffic stats Pokerstars domination is overwhelming...

Yeah from pokerscout right, i just took a look and there dominance has increased over the years its scary.  There is no way to break this monopoly until something changes in some other area like technology or something completely different.
