the problem is that if the tournament goes well, it means that you have to spend 5-7 hours at the computer.

Depending on which tournament, anything with over 2k registrants and standard blinds minutes should be around 7 hours but if you managed to hold for over 5 hours then you should be getting quite top spot with high prize money so its kinda worth it

If we are talking about tournaments with a serious buy-in, then of course, in this case, it is profitable to play until the very end. I mean free tournaments with prizes like tickets to the same tournaments but with serious prizes for example. In the past, I often played these on PS and sometimes even won real money, but now there is simply no time for that. My record is second place in a tournament of 16,000 players.

I just finished 43rd and finally in the bubble on Poker stars.

Great.

I would be up for it, but they aren't dropping tickets. You have to win them on stream. Odds are much harder.

I wonder if they would let me drop some tickets?

*edit*

I played zoom earlier on the stream.

Its fast paced, kind of like perpetual showdowns. I liked it and saw some big stacks.

Ill have another crack at that soon.

*edit* Placed again that's 2 cash finished today from about 4 or 5 tourneys. That's more like it.

Just grinding some low stakes zoom games for now. Maybe 1 or 2 tournaments this weekend.

Not in a poker match but still got a bit lucky here:

Oh man I can so close yesterday for WCOOP tickets Sad

I was in 46 with 145 tickets, just needed to be more patient. Down to 460 people left.

43:00 I'm down to 50th

Lost 35K on AA vs KK      FSFSFSS

Nope usual melt down accidents or whatever and I fluffed it.

I really feel close Im getting to a good position (in my mind) a lot.

Its a longer game. If you bet more you lose more if you bet less you bleed out.

It may even be the luck factor after a certain point. A decent win could help fund the fun ideas otherwise its hard to scrape it together at the moment.

Fingers crossed for the 2k ticket on SwC if a tourney ever goes ahead

It says I need permission to access it; maybe just because you're currently offline. I used to play poker quite a bit but the thing that got to me was the rampant multi-accounting and seeing the same 3-4 players always sitting at all the same tables... This was at the early version of SwC before it was shut down for a bit. If I were to start back up again, what BTC poker site do you think has the most organic players?
Traffic is certainly important, but I must tell you that the crypto poker game has kept me comingback but still at a 5 out of 100% in terms of poking the mouse on a constant click of "Check-Call-Fold"  Wink
Anyway, what I wanted to comment on is that in effect these crypto casino dedicated to poker have a traffic that at its best reaches 300 users.

That on the one hand, because when you go to paid tournaments, you find that it seems that 90% of the players who are there, come through the freeroll.

Anyway, in my case today it's about fun, and as I always say fun and bet, in my theoretical right of 1 satoshi but without a doubt some sites need traffic no matter how much you want to play and support.

In that sense outside the forum environment, there are some that I will not name if not until they get here, to the forum, because from the old and forgotten "phone book" slogan, it is something old; "if it is not in the Yellow Pages, it does not exist"

In short, of what there are dedicated to 100% Poker Crypto, SWC is the only one that offers average traffic, the other is RoundeR Casino, it looks good and they are getting a lot of promotion, but the best is 51 players online and when there is a freeroll.

So they have good rakeback promotions, etc ... but how do you earn them if the traffic is insufficient and incidentally you fall into the dilemma of cash tables with little traffic.

Anyway, I am one of those who thinks that casinos dedicated to only poker should return and focus on the rake back and additional prizes that in the long run for the players is what leaves extra profit, when they have bad months, leaving with an ROI closer to zero, this today is difficult to achieve in a crypto casino.

I feel that this comment is directed more to a general reader than to you, but your concern has helped me to touch on a serious issue in crypto casinos*, traffic.

*100% Poker Crypto.

6PM WET Bitcoin Talk Private Poker Series https://www.twitch.tv/globb0  (forum members game join us here -> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/4-bitcointalk-poker-series-swc-poker-006-btc-big-btc-ticket-by-swc-5271735 )

I hope you put stream delay on your stream, otherwise I might be tempted to stream snipe you to check on your hands if we are on the same table  Tongue

Given that Globb0 has been playing regularly on pokerstars and doing decent there, winning on swc would be close to taking stroll in a park. Aside from weekly bitcointalk poker series, thats bloodbath there because alot more tighter player are playing there lol

at micro/low stakes, pokerstars is probably pretty soft. that was certainly the case years ago when i was playing there, and is still the case on bigger sites like ACR---more fish. i find SwC regs tougher than the average tourney player on ACR. it's just that SwC tourneys are so small that it's easy to final table there.

Probably because it is easy to make it to the final table , everyone will think that they have a solid chance to win therefore play tighter game compared with other sites but you still needs to make it to the top spot to get those prizes even if you made it to the final table.

Thoughts on ggpoker? I saw DN plays on ggpoker through his stream though

Tonight there is a free place available in the BTC Private games series

I will follow the good example set by others! For the first new player 1000 chips for buy-in with 400 chips fee for Grand Finale and Lottery from me! Rules are the same, must be bitcointalk member and new player in our series!

First come first served, be a forum member and play for free tonight. Prolly 10-15k in prizes (guess)

It was a test run, there was only one watcher lol.

There are a few poker site suggestions here. The same kind of question being asked. Poker Stars is much busier, but Im personally struggling to make it to the real money. I can get to top 10 or 20 places but I start to slip the odd 30k here and there.

I went out 9th in the BIG Btc ticket last night, to pocket 2s that flopped a set. What can you do about that? seemingly though the more hours of the tournament the more likely for a freak knock out. I still have much more to learn about late stages.

I seemed to stop getting the tickets from twitch.

I did get some in a chest but just for spin and go.

Also I didn't think they ran a twitch game on the weekends, so you may have to wait for monday

The spin and go free tickets seem a bit like a rip off to me, I never won anything in them. Or maybe I am just unlucky.

There is one tournaments today on pokerstars, they even buffed the prize pool from 3,000 to $3,500.

Will try to join this one, but not sure if I can make it today.
