Government does everything badly. It's a monopoly. Monopolies always give the worst service for the highest price.
wrong. The government is for the people by the people, and people have absolutely no interest in providing bad service.

In America, it's by the wealthy, for the wealthy. They just keep the sheep and cattle happy by making them think they're apart of their game.

Liberal that is: ID cards was one point I disagreed with...

On the other one I ended up as Solid Liberal...

Wait, so you:
Approve of Corporate bailouts
Approve of Trade tariffs
Approve of Social security (that one's kind of a given)
Disapprove of Private charity
and want bigger government spending?

Yes, in some cases. All of those are beneficial in moderation.

It's really about balance. All of the options are rather extreme in my mind.

Government is  doing things badly, but I don't think they shouldn't be done.
Government does everything badly. It's a monopoly. Monopolies always give the worst service for the highest price.

On topics:
New companies should receive some support if they are viable. Also some support or tax credit for research and development isn't bad. Depends on general tax rate though.
If they are viable, they don't need support. And support for R&D can be done privately.

There is some need to protect inner market, for certain products. We aren't yet in global world peace...
Protectionism doesn't work. For every job saved in one industry, you're costing your own economy 2-3 in others. Think about it.

Given...
Not that I'm against private charity, but it should come after social security.
Kinda the point isn't it? "I already gave at the office." Take away social security, and people will have more to give.

50% cut is too drastic, there is certain cuts needed but 50% is way too much.
It's not even remotely enough. Here in the US, we could reduce our budget 50%, entirely from the military budget, and still be spending more on the military than any other country.

A much more comprehensive test that has been around for ages

http://www.politicalcompass.org/test

If by "comprehensive," you mean obnoxiously long, then you're spot on.

It takes less than five minutes and conveys the nuances of political typology much more clearly than the obnoxiously simplistic diamond in this thread. Really it was a response to Stardust -

That diamond is old, we need a new political spectrum for the new age. Don't get what I'm hinting at? Think of Zeitgeist/Anarchy/Pirate Party/etc (and no, they can't be truly included in that diamond).

and im basing my opinion my knowledge of the pirate party, they don't really care about the economic in general, as long as they can get music and movies for free. pirates are stretch all over the economic axis.

Valid point. As a single-issue party, it's likely they'll wander all over the top quadrant.

The Pirate Party is a single issue party, so they're really not going to fit anywhere on a political typology quiz Tongue  But if I had to guess, since they're anti-copyright, they're gonna lean closer to the top.

Ha ha no kidding Grin  Now this is a quiz.

I think I did pretty well.

All of those can be well accommodated for. Zeitgiest is far bottom, Anarchy is far top, Pirate Party is about half way between the middle and top and very liberal.
no. the pirate party would be totally independent of the economic axis, some pirates would be in the top, some in the bottom.
Did you take the quiz, or are you basing your opinions solely from that graph?
i took it, i am a centrist.

Brother just showed me this website, a test he had to take in his highschool government class.  It's a load of horseshit; according to this quiz, you can only be a liberal, a conservative, or "post-modernist", which is what both he and I scored.  Some of the questions are really cheap, where you have to agree one way or another, even if neither represent how you actually feel.

The Quiz

State school propaganda, of course; according to the state school, there's no such thing as an opposition to the state.  There is only a left, and a right.  Roll Eyes

Based on your responses, YOU are a…
  Libertarian
Along with 9% of the public
