Even though politics shape the society, I feel politics in some part of the world is so corrupt that everyone is after their personal need, no one is thinking of how to better the society, no transparency because we don't understand how the politicians are doing with the money and power bestowed to them.
Political life is not normal lifestyle in the street, growing up and witness politics I Begin to realize politics as a pure game like everyone other games eg temple run, whorth, ps4, dream league, ludo and many. This games surprise you when you do not expect so politics surprises people expectations. Your brother can be against you, your siblings can be against you, even yourself can be against yourself. In politics trust is not among the parties flags, is just a war of interest.
Obviously yes. But the hard fact about politics is that you cannot ignore it. It exists in all spheres of our economy and life. If you go to government there is poltics to win elections, if you go to bureaucracy there is politics to get better positions, if you see corporate there is corporate politics to gain big positions as soon as possible. So yes even though politics is a war of interest it's not at all possible to complete remove it from our lives.
Politics is a game of personal interest, my interest might be different from yours that why our choice of candidates and political party will be different,
On a normal note politics is supposed to be a game that should be free and fair but our Politicians are making it look very dangerous because of their high hunger for power and money..

Politics is like gambling or game people do play every time so i believe that nothing in politics that is being sincere or trustworthy so that is why many people who find their self in politics always being selfish, so politics is a game of personal interest and they can never depart to be a game of personal interest because of its life pattern

At first I smiled, that was why Harold gave the concept on politics as who gets what, how and when. In the political game everybody is involved, both children and adults. Politics is all about domination or power. And if anyone acquired power and exercise that power among men then that is politics. Now how to acquire the power is where the game comes in. You must play your card very well to acquire the power. I will used just concluded Nigeria Presidential Election. The prefer candidate of the large masses was edge out but the ruling class because he does not belong to the casino group (those who belong the cartel). According to Aristotle, human being is a political animal, because what happens in the jungle happens in the human society. Everyone want to rule. And Hobbes said, human being is perpetual in power and that only ceaseth when he died. All these quotes mean that man is centered with politics and only the experts ( best game players) climb to the top.
Let's say yeah that it can humble anyone but only when the time of election has come. They feel like they've been the best public servants of all time and I'm speaking about the corrupt ones because I still have that hope in some good countries, they've got the best leaders that has political will and the heart to serve their people and those are the actual humble ones.
Politics is a dirty game, and in some countries it involves blood shed, because they will want to enter that position by any means, and when they have gotten power they will not even think of serving the masses, and they will not want to leave power when thier tenure is over, politicians are never humble, they are only humble when they are contesting that is the time for election, Those that have tasted power in the public office will crave for more and might do a lot of things just to be back at it again. They know how much they can get from it but this is at least for those corrupt places and countries.
There are still good countries that has kind and good leaders.
they will make you believe that they are God sent, but just wait let they enter that sit then you will now see how demonic and wicked they are, even to there children will become very rude.

Instead of using violence to get yourself into office, allow free and fair elections in your areas. So that the outcome of the election or appointment will not break your down.

While I mostly agree with you, we cannot forget there are politicians who are better than others. Our universal history has some examples of presidents and prime ministers who are loved a reminded to this day, for one reason. They were not perfect, obviously, they also committed mistakes and had to bid for power but once they got their position, did mostly right.
In the end, from my point of view politics is a necessary evil to humanity, otherwise civilization as we know it would not be possible.

Politics means now is whoever has the power, you support him and when he loses it, you gonna go against him and support the next one if you want to be able to stay in the power. As for the war against their families in politics, it's all about money because the one at the top doesn't care about his relatives and the people below him and he is greedy enough to take everything even the money that is supposed to improve their place. When that happens, someone always came up with a plan to assassinate him/her, and the sad thing about it is even their families will go against them instead of supporting them just because of money and power. This is mostly what happening right now no matter what country it is.
Life is politics itself. In whatever that we are doing there must be people to pilot the affairs. Politics is part of our life because in colleges, universities, churches and even in prison. Politics can humble anyone, especially the candidates vying for one elected position or the other. During campaigns, you see politicians becoming more humble like never before, reaching out to all class of human without discrimination, giving listening ears to people, honoring occasions and invitations, enduring insults and mingling with all class of people in the quest to win the heart of the people and gain their votes.

Well in politics there is no permanent friends only permanent interest, your enemy today could be your ally tomorrow, and here in our country that's what exactly is happening, whoever is in power politics will go there and pledge their allegiance, turncoatism, is very rampant because we do not have a two-party system just like they do in the US, politics here in our country never accept defeat in an election they always accuse the other party of cheating.
So if you want a peaceful life don't be involved in politics or even let your family be part of the politics.

In a case whereby one is rejected by family and friends in politics that means such person has no good record to show. The masses will always love a politician who is competent to work and had the people at heart. Politicians with this qualities I don't think they will be rejected by the people, it is only policians who are human disaster that people will stand against. Just want to add, in the world of politics, there are no permanent enemies. all of them can be friends, comrades, enemies, it all depends on importance. whether it's individual interests, group or party interests.
