"Wake up"? Please. Don't try to make out that a bunch of bigots giving in to their primitive instincts to fear anyone different to themselves is the equivalent to moving towards some sort of "truth". If anything, you're moving backwards. Way to fall for the divide and conquer, fear campaign tactics perpetuated by a vile media and government. The ones who are actually awake are the small minority who voted yes.
If the majority of people were awake, do you really think we'd have a tory government in charge, currently orchestrating a massive transfer of wealth from poor to rich, selling off public services and peerages to their wealthy friends, all while scapegoating the poorest and most vulnerable in society? The problem isn't multiculturalism, it's the disgusting, morally bankrupt, kleptocratic parasites in power. The ones lining their own pockets and those of their supporters at everyone else's expense.
This isn't bigotry. This is simple everyday common sense. Multiculturalism by definition "the existence, acceptance, or promotion of multiple cultural traditions within a single jurisdiction, usually considered in terms of the culture associated with an ethnic group." This is clearly not working. Just take a look at the news or go for a walk in any major city in the UK.
As far as I can remember the Labour wasn't any better. (Actually I can't see too much difference between the Labour and the Tories.)
You know, it's quite easy to make a scapegoat from some groups when the members of that group raping 1500 girls, or creating no go zones for ppl with different views, or making a living from abusing the benefit system.
BTW as I've seen in the UK large part of the "poorest and most vulnerable in society" are the elderly working class indigenous people, but nobody cares, because of they are whites :/.
Indigenous people, hah! Had to chuckle at that part. I doubt that even half a percent of the UK populace could legitimately claim to be indigenous, assuming they could be bothered to trace their ancestry back far enough. Also, people tend to work under the rather flawed assumption that "British culture" is some set, predefined and unalterable constant, when in truth, there's no such thing. It changes region by region and year on year. I highly doubt you care what the prevailing cultural norm was in your region 50 years ago, so 50 years from now, people in your area won't give two shits about what you think your culture currently is or should be now. You'll just be another one of those bitter old people who says "
in my day... [insert rant here]" far more often than would be considered necessary. Times change, so does culture. Whine about it if you like, but it's inevitable and you can't stop it.
As for "no-go zones for people with different views", that just proves that intolerance can work both ways, so in effect, those people trying to enforce their view on others are doing exactly the same thing you're doing. Either everyone is entitled to have their own views and beliefs, or you just end up with one group verses another. How do you figure that adding more intolerance is somehow going to help in that regard? Maybe you think you should try and put out fires by dowsing them with more fuel? "Everyday common sense", pffft. Not even close.
