It was the kind of fight I expected. It was very close but Parker did a little better and got the win.

From these heavyweight fights we saw on Saturday, including the Andy Ruiz fight, one thing that is very clear is that nobody can really come close to being on the same level as Joshua, Fury and Wilder. Whoever wins between Fury and Joshua is undoubtedly the best heavyweight of this era.

It looks like the Parker vs Chisora re-match will happen on the Tyson Fury under card.

Joseph Parker seems to be a very honest and humble human being. He is very likeable because he does not have the trash-talking attributes, he is called the nicest man in boxing.

Look at his interviews here and you will all be understand why Parker is a very honest, humble and decent person:

loved the interview and just like what a fighter should be. but I wish parker could be more aggressive in his fight. his fight with Chisora has been an unnecessarily close fight that could have ended in a knockout since Chisora's stamina started running out in the middle to later rounds and parker still has the power and stamina to land a punch that could knock out Chisora. in the last round though you can see Chisora trying to make a comeback and actually outboxed parker in close combat. I would love to see another fight with these two and see the improvements they would make after this fight.

Parker deserves a better fighter to fight, Chisora is on a retirement path, he should fight fighters who can take him to another level like Dillian Whyte or better Wilder, he cannot get into a title contention unless he neats fighters like Whyte or Wilder this is his path to title contention.

I have the same opinion. But we also have to consider that the result of this match is a split decision. I think there might indeed be a rematch even though this match or the next one is not that big of a deal.

Dillian has already defeated Parker so it is possible Dillian is not anymore interested to meet him again. As to Wilder, the athlete is devastated by his loss to Fury so much so that he now seems mentally unfit to get back into training and the ring soon.

That 1st round was pretty intense and Chisora is pretty much very aggressive in wanting to get the TKO but Joseph Parker had turned the tables and is not really hurt with the knockdown but you can see the tenacity of Derek Chisora wanting to really finish Parker his using his build and bulkiness to physically go through every punch of Parker,

But I am pretty relieved with the judge's decision I think that Karma had hit Derek Chisora with the Coinflip drama and Joshep Parker had humble himself in just take it as what Chisora wants, but Joseph Parker is really worthy of winning this in my opinion.

Even though Parker faced the count after being knocked down inside the first 10 seconds of the opening round, he went on to win by a split points decision.

Have to say Parker deserved it even though Chisora had his chances to create an upset.

Chisora now has lost 11 fights it is time for him to retire. Though Parker was not looking his best he should have just one more fight then deserves to have another shot to fight one of the heavyweight champions.

We are on to 14 votes in the poll and 13 are for Parker to win, 1 vote for Chisora to win. It would be a surprise if Chisora causes problems for Parker.

I think Parker will have at least one more shot at fighting for the heavyweight belts. He suffered back to back defeats against Joshua and then Whyte but after that he won all his fights and deserves his chance but it will be difficult because Fury and Joshua are looking for blockbuster fights to get richer quick with opponents lined up even if their fight does not go ahead.

Base on what I have seen so far about the fight and the odds, this is not just a fight between Derek and Parker it settles of odd matters. However, they both have chances in winning the fight and I am sure Derek came prepared for whatever surprises Parker have in stock but since Derek is not active in the boxing scheme I except Parker to win in the end.

let us see what will happen inside the ring if parker is really scared of him. maybe, it will turn out the other way around.

btw, the odds are out in crypto bookies - 2.55 vs 1.52, of course in favour of parker here.

You really think Parker seems scared? It looks like Derek is more scared here because he's spitting out too much without even thinking what would happen if that guy Parker snatches the game from his hands. I believe people shouldn't be overconfident as overconfidence mostly leads to failure. I hope we won't see a one sided match here. Derek may also be having fear of losing this match because of his performance in the last few games, and instead of talking too much, he should focus on spending more time practicing.

2. Parker's performance had been all well, while Derek seems a bit overconfident on himself as he publicly said that Parker is scared of him. I think that this fight will be very interesting to watch.
Really hate that type of boxers who do talk that much before the fight.Let your boxing do the talk.  Cheesy

Derek should be ready because Joseph Parker is also known to be the silent killer. He doesn't boast but he always surprises us when he's inside the ring. It will surely be a tough fight yet I could feel that Parker has a huge edge on this match. He's more experienced than Derek.

Draw ? - Never
I rarely see such things happening in a fight.
I do think even though Chisora has a very good experience and in this fight he might try and prove to people that "he is not on the path of retirement", I do think Parker Might win. But then again the reason am not so sure is because Chisora needs this fight to prove that he is still in the game. There are still sponsors which are a bit part of the earnings for every sports person and this might be their turning point.
Well anyways the fight is not some months later but rather today and in some hours we will be able to see what's going to happen. This one is going to be a close call for sure.

This is a pretty evenly matched fight. Both are good heavyweights but neither can really be considered elite. I lean slightly towards Joseph Parker because he has actually won a world title. Chisora looked good against Usyk but he is reaching an age where most boxers start to think about retirement.
If he's (Derek Chisora) thinking towards retirement then why would he brought in a new trainer?, most of these fighters sometimes don't think about retirement but about titles. I read couple of replies and everyone seem to be on the side of the most favorite (Joseph Parker) but believe me the game will definitely change becasue of this new trainer he (Derek Chisora) got. With his stubbornness along with little changes to his previous fight anything can happen inside the ring in few hours from now.

didn't really know both of the fighters but watching their most recent fights parker shows a lot of promise(but wasn't really impressed with his performance in his last fight). his age and reach are also a huge advantage against Chisora but parker still needs to watch out for close combat with Chisora. I watch Chisora's recent fight with usyk and he dominates in close combat. It would be best for parker to keep his distance and strike when the opportunity comes. but then again Chisora's age is also a problem for him if parker is able to tire out Chisora with a long fight it will be his win.

Flip coin drama! Derek Chisora really wants to ring walk 1st, the funny thing is Joseph Parker wins the flip coin just to ring walk 2nd, Chisora really wants to be stubborn in not flipping the coin to decide who goes to walk 1st, he really wants to complicate things this is really a stubborn thing to do decide it your own.

In my opinion, I really like the chill bide of Joseph Parker than the stubborn habit of Derek Chisora, Chisora will unlikely change style even though he has a new trainer I really think he would likely be stubborn in changing and engaging with his own style, Parker will likely to win on points Parker will need to keep his distance and putting Chisora away with his fast jabs to accumulate points for him his reach and height can be an advantage and a key for Parker.

Derek Chisora is way past his prime in my opinion, so I will go with Joseph Parker here.

And obviously the odds tells us the Joseph Parker is the favourite here. Derek Chisora might be good in the first couple of rounds, but after that he will gas out and probably Parker might go with a knock out here. I will say that this fight might not last for ten rounds.

Take part in the poll and have your say. I am going for Parker to win this fight  Shocked

Looks Like Parker is in Advantage on this fight and as the record says , He had a small losing score compared to Chisora in which having the title now.

And their Unfinished Business seems to be happening one more after this one.

Also Parker is still on his prime While chisora seemingly in a near retiring stage.

That definitely the fifth win streak of Joseph. There is pretty much trash talk going but Chisora isn't anymore in his form, the fight against Oleksandr Usyk showed that. And I don't think the winner will be decided based on the points.
