Yikes, I really wish we had more options honestly. I don't feel like Trump really aligns with my views as an American, and Biden feels kinda meh to me.

As much as I dislike current radical-leaning left and latest events, I'd not vote for Trump under any circumbstances

Unless things change fast for Trump, by that I mean the economy improves, racial tensions ease and there is positive news in the media on a prolonged basis - it seems Trump will find it extremely difficult to get re-elected. He might have won the Presidency in 2016 thanks to the electoral college even though he lost the popular vote but this time round many people will go for Biden as a protest vote against Trump even though they do not endorse either.

It will make interesting viewing as and when the votes are counted and results made public on election night.

Honestly in recent days / week or so I've been learning towards thinking that Biden is going to win both the popular vote and the electoral college. I really don't see how swing voters are going to agree with Trump and his rhetoric, and people are going to be voting in droves against him.

Coronavirus and the economy taking a massive hit has really horribly hurt Trump, and Trump isn't able to admit that some of this can be said to be his fault due to him not being quick enough with his response and taking leadership.

I said before he'd be able to get out of this if he showed that he was doing all that he could. But I really don't see Trump being able to get out of this one as nicely as he gets out of everything else.

Economy COULD improve by November, though that is a lot of improvement from today -- as November really isn't that far away right now. Economy is still HEAVILY relying on federal aid and stimulus money to come in for it to continue to function. I still expect there to be federal money on the table for businesses for paying their employees when November comes around.

Though there is one point that everyone forgets. It truly only really matters what happens in the battleground states. Trump could lose by a TON for the popular vote, and still squeak by an electoral college win.

Joe Biden is going to have to go on the debate stage soon. Plus he's going to announce his VP soon, that will be a defining moment of this camp.

But what about the beloved Kanye West? America's savior from bad politicians.

I am for Trump, I like his methods and his behavior. However, apparently, his rating is not as high as before, due to all the crises that have fallen on him.

kanye will help trump destroy racist biden

kanye west will save america  from biden, i support him campaigning.

Are you serious about this or just being sarcastic? When I first read that West wants to bid the presidency, it is like, I was thinking, is he serious or he just lost himself? Is it the reason why he had this religious stunts and drama in the previous years? Anyway, I am still for Trump the second time around.

Although I do not live in the United States and very often the actions of Donald Trump are directed against Russia but I still like his policy and attitude to American citizens. I think he really wants to see America great. So I think he will be President again.

look at this poll, look how many vicious and racist people are around that want trump and america to fail to get racist and braindead biden into power, and his black women vice president.

I was trying to find polls showing where Trump and Biden stand but was unable to find anything that seemed independent.

Even with what are perceived as multiple failings by the incumbent what is clear from past experiences is that just a headline here or there, or maybe a statement here or there could be enough shift public opinion back in favour of Trump especially if Biden makes a massive error in an interview or something alike. Biden is facing a sexual harassment claim whereas Trump faced multiple accusations of sexual harassment so maybe this issue along with their plans for the economy along with domestic and foreign policies might play a huge part in who gets elected.

What would it say for the Trump legacy if as you say Biden wons the popular vote and the electoral college? What would it say for the GOP and Trump if he secures a second term?

Will Trump be back for a second term or will Biden win the race for the Whitehouse?

I think Biden will win both the race and the popular vote. Polling suggests he's pulling ahead, and I can't see what Trump can do really to change things, other than get on top of Covid-19, which unfortunately seems very unlikely to happen. I don't think he's handled the BLM protests at all well. He is alienating more and more people, and when it's on something as fundamental as race, it's difficult to get these voters back again.

To my knowledge the most recent one term Presidents of the USA were Jimmy Carter and George H W Bush because both lost their second elections and did not get re-elected.

Historically each president gets 2 terms but personally i do not like Trump much but there are high chances he will be elected again and we have to live with it.

After a really dismal 1st term, Carter ran against an extremely strong candidate, Ronald Reagan, and lost.

After a lukewarm 1st term, Bush Sr. ran against an extremely strong candidate, Bill Clinton, and lost.

Now after a very strong 1st term, Trump seems to be running against the weakest US presidential opponent, EVER.

Not sure I would say a global pandemic that is ravaging the US at a much larger scale then any other nation of the world a strong 1st term.

I would’ve totally agreed with you pre COVID. But the Trump response to COVID was truly absymal and the American people know that. His poll numbers are horrible in general.

Is it possible to make a 180? Yes. But Trump will have to do a lot between now and November to stop the bleeding.

Trump even knows this. Why fire your campaign manager for a shakeup if you’re this super strong candidate?

This seems so odd. A former candidate in the 2016 republican primaries is speaking on behalf of Joe Biden at the DNC convention?

This certainly does nothing to dispel the notion that Joe Biden is too old to be President when he isn't speaking at Democratic convention.

Kasich always was sort of a strange dude.

Kasich is a VERY strange person. Can't beleive that some people think that he was a viable option for the Republican nomination in 2016 -- guy is pretty much a RINO. All this shows is that he is a uniparty puppet who just wants to have power and money. Curious on how much was offered in both sides (money, job in the administration, etc)

Not sure on his approval ratings now that he's been out of the governorship of Ohio for awhile. But Biden and the Dems are hoping that he can convince some moderates to join his side.

Doubt Biden will pick him for anything, but I assume that he's going to get some sort of private sector job b/c of this.

RINO.

I believe that the American people will not repeat the mistake of Trump's election again. Most peoples, not just the American people, believe that Trump is the worst American president ever. His popularity has deteriorated greatly due to the blunders he committed throughout his tenure. Of course, the recent riots after Floyd was killed by the US police and Trump's handling of these events was the last nail in the coffin of Trump's election, in my opinion.
So I believe that Biden's chances of Trump's opponent will be much greater and will win the next US presidential election.

As of now, Trump has a 5% chance of winning the POTUS elections in 2020, and Biden has more than 95% probability.

The disadvantage with Trump is that he needs to win almost all of the swing states, to have a realistic chance of victory. For example, he can't win the elections if he lose Florida. That's not the case with Biden. He can afford to lose Florida or Pennsylvania or Michigan (or all of them) and still win the elections. Back in 2016, Trump won because there was a miracle. He managed to win almost all of the swing states. But that is not the case now.

Another aspect that is going to negatively impact Trump's chance for a re-election is that many of the swing states are no longer behaving so. States such as Virginia and Pennsylvania have become Blue states and they are no longer considered as swing states. At the same time, some of the states which used to be called as "red strongholds" have in fact become swing states. The examples are Arizona, and Texas. We can even add states such as Georgia and Iowa to this list.
