Hiring an army of full time Spamming shills is all part of the marketing strategy. It's quite disgusting really

You are right. In current world you cannot really know if somebody tells you a sincere opinion or what he tells is simply for profit/money, whether it's a spamming shill, he's paid for advertising or he's working on comision.
I see this on celebrities, I see this on the internet (no wonder) and I've seen this sometimes even with people pretending to be friends (really!).

Where is my ring of blades...
why those whales "risked" pumping it so much then ?

because they took a look at bitcoin and made some calculations and saw if they enter bitcoin market they are going to be eaten alive because they will only be a little fish!
so they started a new project from the scratch, pre mined the hell out of it so they hold all the coins then the spams began all over the internet, literary in every corner that was remotely related to cryptocurrency they spammed. then the pump and dump began that you can see on the charts and made millions of dollars so far.

And as i expected, ETC value won't hold for too long, some whale / whales tried to pump ETC to attract new fools into buying it, but it seems it didnt go as planned. As soon as they stopped pumping the value started decreasing and ETH price is increasing again. Do you think it's poloniex that tried this ? They are ETH whale, so it's very possible they tried to make some free money before dumping it.

There's a reason ethereum almost hit 2billion before dao hack, being the most important cryptocurrency to date ( not most valuable, bitcoin holds that title) it's only normal people talk about it. And the topic number is actually really small given it's potential and importance since most people know internet is full of trolls so they avoid talking about it, which leaves us with the trolls, hence most ethereum topics are all about FUD, like this one.
And before you'll say "BUT ETHEREUM SI A PUMP AND DUMP SCAM" ask yourself, why those whales "risked" pumping it so much then ? Maybe because they took a look at bitcoin and it's cache size problem, which won't be fixed since they won't risk a hard fork and risk killing the cow, so they'll milk it as long as they can before "jumping into the new BTC". And what better option than a cryptocurrency that actually has dapp potential, therefore it's value won't be backed up by blind faith and but something real?
Bitcoin cannot maintain value, once in a while it needs HYPE because the attention is fading from it, reason it was on it's 200$ low, luckily the halving hype worked, and now bitcoin value will slowly go down again, since there are no new greater fools to buy it at 650$ (maybe except for black market) and why would anyone use bitcoin instead of fiat ? Bitcoin already failed, it could work if it had leadership and not centralized mining .What's the curent status of chinese mining cartel by the way ? I suspect it's over 90% since after the halving. Whom they sell it ? Guess what, there aren't too many new greater fools.

An old lesson got learned here by the Monero crew 2 years ago.
Myself and others had to tell them that spamming us here is going to "turn off" the community.
And i think it was smooth or maybe smoothie said ANY advertising is good advertising
or something similar.

I also think that any advertising is good advertising, but indeed, Monero had WAY too many threads back then.
And, while I am a Monero supporter, I can say it was difficult to follow what is actually discussed there. Because too much is, yes, too much.
But again, I think that it may have been DRK game (too). They are older on this forum and may have been targeting exactly this: to angry the community against Monero, since it's the competition.

So these days they have focused like a laser beam on that "Speculation" topic and spammed it to death.

You may be right, but not entirely. Threads like WAVES for example are much more heavily spammed. And the amount of nonsense there is astonishing. It's much closer to your theory.

I am surprised so many of you voted YES ..i really did not expect that.

I am surprised that the total votes is so low  Shocked

Probably No, they have lots of backers, users, disciples etc. Plus it is heavily traded so its normal for ETH to be talked about.

I disagree.
I think at least in part a good amount of topics on ethereum are created OR BUMPED
by a team of guys that coincidentally showed up here during the 2016 pump. <-- manipulators.

I'd say it's a safe bet the entire crypto scene would agree overall Ethereum has been heavily manipulated.
..in all aspects.

Note: it has a Billion dollar market cap yet there is only 2,300 user on Bitcointalk per 24/hrs.
Does that sound right ?  Undecided

Yet inexplicably even though this is brought up 24/7 again & again
you so called "supporters" simply ignore the allegation.
And ignore it all you want.. the majority is going to think this. (i guarantee a poll would prove it)

As the guy posted earlier it's old drama where this forum section got flooded hard (By the Monero guys)
Later they said this place is scammy and a shithole then said they were leaving.
But all they did was reel it in for a while then try again.. and again.

But as more time passed, i think they started to clue in to the warnings.
Spamming is not good.
So these days they have focused like a laser beam on that "Speculation" topic and spammed it to death.
Making sure the word Monero is on the first page 24/7 (usually at the top)
That is manipulation.

Anyway LOL

I am surprised so many of you voted YES ..i really did not expect that.
Or i figured the ETH crew controlled so many puppet accounts they would sway the vote results.

So..
This should be a wake up call.
Of what ? If anything personal responsibility.
It's up to you ETH supporters to use your brain and not needlessly bump topics or make new ones.
Someone is making them and someone is posting on them.. so don't play innocent.
I myself have considered whether posting on a coin topic is too much.. and then NOT posted.

You all can do what ever you want but you are doing more harm than good laying it on too thick.
That is just common sense and has nothing to do with any specific coin.

..and yes i knew this would be +1 / topic #26 sorry guys LOL Wink

Talking, discussing and spamming the shit around the forum, there's a difference.Check out the amount of shit threads created by the ETH supporters, all newbies with shit links in the posts. Not against ETH but its supporters do try to get attention by posting utter bullshit about bitcoin. And we all know that for the fact,ETH can never be as good as bitcoin is.

Yes, absolutely sick to death, it seem daily 99% of threads now contain the word 'ethereum'.
I didn't buy it, I don't mine it; over hyped from the outset.
The 'investors' deserve what they get, but why must I suffer this bullshit in my face forever?
Make an ETH forum section for dumbasses, right down the bottom of the page somewhere, clean this place up pronto!

I can't wait for mining to end,... and i mine the retched stuff.  This coin has a real sick history.  And look at the divisions it has caused in the community.

I think about the money i have made sine i hit ROI in April and i ask myself "was it worth it?"

No, it wasn't.  Ethereum is the sick dog of crypto.  We didn't threaten to 51% attack each other before Ethereum came along.

And i dont think its over...  im just waiting to hear about the next big hack

Voted no.

Used the following arithmetical justification: ETH has 8.5% of the crypto market cap therefore its reasonable have ETH occupy at least 8.5% of the crypto blah-blah space.

When I checked after voting it shows 12 to 2 in favor of yes,I'm also tired of seeing and reading a lot of thread about ethereum,I'm wondering why are they discussion it on altcoin discussion when they have their own thread for any issue their coin had..

I voted yes, but don't get it twisted. I do not believe ETH is dead or dying. I do think ETC being in the top 10 makes a mockery of something though. I just don't know what!

Voted yes, but it's kinda like watching a car wreck. Hashlets come to mind.

Quite amusing watching all these fanboys cry tears of regret after those of us with brains warned and warned them beforehand...

Even after eth's 'killer dapps' proved to be nothing more than Web 2.0 gambling and ponzi sites, people were still eating this up and throwing their money at the beady eyed dev...hope this served as a nice warning Smiley
