315.

This basically remains the highest price so far. The price on Bitstamp was 320 at 1am on 1st January 2015, and has not reached that level since.
Not a great year so far.

I think before we have another bubble, people have to be convinced there won't be a bubble.  At the same time, the bearishness right now is pretty potent, so there should be rally soon.

So I think in 2012, we'll reach a peak around the prior all-time high ($1200) and then drop back down to $500-600.  That'll result in 2 years with no bubble at which time nobody will expect a bubble.  That will create the raw ingredients for a bubble in 2016.

Relax!
I think we are going to see prices around $6000 this year. It may still take some time, but I am optimistic and nothing can shatter this. If I listened to all the FUD that is going around these days, my portfolio would look pretty devastated now...

Interesting how many people think it's going to $50000+.

Interesting is you thinking they're not trolling.

Are they? Count my vote amongst them. I'm not.

Trust me!
Being mid or long-term optimistic while remaining realistic. I'll go and say $2900, but I currently doubt this is going to be the case before Fall/Winter 2015... If the run-up doesn't come until March/April, I doubt we will see serious action over the summer. Summers are always dull!

U should have some lower range for vote as well, like right now, the price is standing at 300 USD.

There are not so much outcomes.
a) $50000+  (maybe only 200,000 believers believe)
b) $0  ( there are almost 7,000,000,000 unbelievers ) :-)

Edit:
I do not think it will be this year. (I did not read thread title. just responded )

A little history is in order here. The low in 2012 was close to 4 USD. The high in 2013 was approximately 300x  that amount. So 50000+ USD is actually well within the realm of possibilities here.

Would you pay more than 50,000 dollars for a Bitcoin? Do you know anyone who would?

It all depends on the time frame. Some of these traders would not even pay 0.60 USD for 1 XBT just over three years ago.

Now for the real fun we had New Liberty Standard selling 1 XBT for under 0.001 USD in early 2010.

I personally think 600-700. I don't expect it to grow insanely fast.
